Mailing Info:

10/2 mailed to grams4eande
10/3 mailed to Carol
10/6 mailed to Lynne

10/15 mailed to Vickie, Cindy, Yuko, Lindsay, Bonnie, Manda, Twila
10/19 mailed to all remaining swappers

*****************************************

Newcomers--check out this fun swap! Great for stimulating your own creativity and showing others how much you can do with basic materials.

Here's how this will work:

Join a group below...or suggest a set and a "recipe" (which must include stamp image, CS, and ink color...and can also include embellishments, type of card (birthday), etc.

Sign up for any group(s) you want. Be sure that you own or have access to the set.

Here's where individual creativity comes in...add embellishments, additional layers, color in, distress, tear, stamp some more, whatever to make these ingredients into a great card. Then duplicate it for the other gals in your group. Send to me and I'll swap out. You'll end up with 5 similar yet different cards! Try to use the listed ingredients but if you need to substitute because you don't have something on hand that's okay.

***Make 5 full cards and send all 5 in...you will get one of your own back.***

*no recipes needed but please sign, initial, or stamp your cards*

I'll start with one recipe....submit your own too! If you submit a recipe, I'll assume you'd like to be in that group.

Postmark deadline to get them back to me:

**September 31**
**September 15** if mailing from Canada

WOW! Are we DKOS addicts or what? I still need to finish DKOS 12 & here I am on DKOS 14--I must be nuts!

I would like to suggest some retiring sets:
Roses in Winter (WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH--what was SU thinking?)
Flower Filled
Cool Cat

Do any of these sets appeal to anyone?

I am sad to see Roses in Winter going. I'd join that group, now we need a recipe.

How's this... Roses in Winter - make at least a two-layered sympathy card using Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Bordering Blue and Very Vanilla, card must include some sponging along with brads (or eyelets) and ribbon.

Use sketch challenge #120 found here:

For the Roses in Winter group, I hope you were all able to see the Sketch layout, and I thought I'd mention, that you can go ahead and add anything on top of that main image if you feel like it to finish your card. The sketch layout is just a suggestion.

Ok Linda, you've forced me to put my thinking cap on. Here are my recipes:

Flower Filled:
Use a technique from here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/
Use an In Color (new or old) as your base card with 2 coordinating colors. Embellish as desired!

Cool Cat:
Use a BG stamp somewhere on the card. Use a scalloped punch (if you have one). Add some sparkle. The cat can be any color EXCEPT black.

Bodacious please.

I'm thinking about getting Artfully Asian. I think that is it. The one with the pot leaves, right? It didn't retire, did it? I saw a neat card with the branch thing embossed and then it was bleached in the inside of the little leaves.

Hi Debbie

Just checked it out! You can add me to Serene Sunflower and Cool Cat. If there's another Polka dots and Paisley group that would be good too! A lot of the other sets I don't seem to have!

Here's a recipe for Stinkin Cute:
Use any patterened paper & use a matching SU paper as the base. Use other coordinating colors. Use a punch & metal somewhere on the card.
