Hi Michelle!

Tee Hee... that's me, Janet! I can't have coffee this morning - traveling and coffee don't mix with me. LOL!

DD is getting a masters in Mental Health Counseling. She's about halfway through or a little more, I think.

I'm not home right now Janet, but I know there was a paper piercing set that I'm definitely getting and a few stamp sets. There is a new butterfly set and a punch that goes with them. I'm trying to avoid the new Colors. I want to use up some of the old discontinued stuff that I have before I collect the new colors, but they are pretty.

Morning ladies!

I ordered a Scotch ATG. I've heard great things! I hope it lives up to my standards. I'm so tired of running out to replace my little snail type tape runner!
I got it along with 2 rolls of adhesive for $23.96 with free shipping. I'm hoping that's a good deal. I've been shopping for a while and that's the lowest I found it.

Linda, my SU! demo sent me an email last week and said mine and my mom's catalogs are on their way. I hope I get mine before the weekend......I would love to have something that nice and pretty to look at while on the road. We're going to Pigeon Forge, leaving out early Sunday.

Well, off to finish my coffee and get laundry done!

I guess I'll just have to wait to see the catalog! I tried to bring it up on the SU site yesterday - Oh well!!

I spoke to the person I get SU thru - she said she was waiting to hear back from the person she had gotten the catalogs with (my friend only needed to get about 5 catalogs).

I have some CS with retired SU colors. Guess I'll get those used....

The SU catalog won't go live for general public till June 1 Janet...only demos have theirs now, both live and on-line.
I like the new in-colors Midnight Muse, Raspberry ripple, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Petal Pink--I think--- They are not blindly bright, more of a muted/muddy tone....perfect for masculine cards and to use with some of the "NEON" colors lately......
You will also like the new ribbons.....stitched and two types for the incolors.....
and stamp sets.....well, depending on your needs and style---you will either find a lot or a few....for me it was a few but I am trying to cut back on stamp purchases too......I did like the new birthday sentiment set......enough that I bought it in wood and cling both....LOL! on two different pre-orders.

Hi Melina! I got my Scotch ATG at Michaels more over a year ago and use it all the time. The refills run about $9.00 for a package of two and I often use my 40% off coupon when buying them. Certainly a lot cheaper than the small adhesive runners.

I got mine at Michael's after hearing so many Forest Friends say how good that ATG is. I LOVE mine!! And I use those coupons to get the refills also - I've even sent my DH in with another coupon so he can get the refills if I want to get something else.

I still have a small Tomboy I get refills for that I take on trips with me - but otherwise, I only use the ATG!

My mom has her wholesale license. She couldn't get the ATG without ordering quite a few of them and she already has one she bought a few years ago. She can however order the refills. She gets a really, really good price on them. Next time she places an order I will let you know and see if the price she can sell them to you for with shipping would be cheaper than Michael's with the coupon. IDK if it would be but maybe I could get you a deal

Yes, & from what I understood, they made it pink when they were selling it for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I thought it looked bulky, but it is GREAT to use!! I got used to the size.

Yes, Tami. I used to giggle about how big it was too.....then I used it.....and know how much adhesive is in it!!! I'll still keep my small snail type adhesive for taking to crops and stuff but I'm gonna love this thing, not having to change the tape every week. I can't afford that! I can get 2 refills for it for the same price I get 2 refills for my snail! Hello! Lots more tape for less $$$

I was taking a nap Janet...till the phone woke me up.....and now I conned DH into filling holes so I can paint a small area above the dining area bay window tomorrow. Since I took the curtains down today to wash.........
OH--yes,,,and I also colored the rest of my angels so I can finish a set of Christmas cards tonight or tomorrow.
Talked myself out of going shopping so supper will be a big surprise tonight as I don't have a clue what I can put together to eat....Dh will probably not be a happy eater.......too bad......he can get over it.
Tomorrow is last day of school here for my grandson....my California kids go till about June 10 I guess.....
Leavin for cemetary runs (3) early Saturday morning hoping to avoid crowds and classmates at the old home town who are arriving for reunion.......I never go.
Sending DH to his 50th High SChool reunion this year though.....but I am opting out....he would be the only person I knew and I have a photo camp that begins the next day.....

Pansy, your comment about making the cemetary runs made me a little nostalgic. When we lived in WA I always did the cleaning of the stones and placing of plants and flowers at two different cemetaries in my hometown. After I was grown and married I helped my mom when she was still alive to do this the Friday before Memorial Day. I kept it up after she died until we moved to AZ. It was almost an all day project as I had lots of family: parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and some friends. I feel kind of sad that I'm not able to do this anymore. I have one sister who lives in my hometown and she will take flowers or plants to our parents gravesite but that is it.

I've been making cemetary runs with my mother, this year, my sister did it. I'm glad she took the lilies this year - at least I didn't sneeze a lot!!!

The cemetery where my mom's parents, sister, uncle, aunt & stepmother are buried is also known as a historical site in our area, and we've gone out there to place wreaths every year. I have to make large bows for the wreaths. My dad is buried in another cemetary, and so are some family friends. We go to that cemetery also.

Hi Friends...finally home. It was quite the drive with heavy rain, and storms all the way home.

We moved DD's (Rachel) belongings into storage, as her new place is not available until June 1st. She is going to be staying with friends and living out of a suitcase for 10 days. She would have taken some time off of work and come home, but she needs to save it all for her trip to Florida.

Talked with DS, and he found an apartment that he likes and is close to his work. They just refurbished it with all new appliances, carpet, and bathroom..the works. So he is excited.

I'm glad your DD & DS like their living arrangements! Are these the first places they'll be living that are away from home or school?

And we had such severe rain a week ago that we had Flash Floods - not fun!!
Glad you got through the wet weather there!!

For DS it is...DD is still has one more year of college left. So her place is close to campus and considered off campus student housing.

Oh, Mae, so very sorry to hear you and your family are going through so much bad stuff! Hope and pray GDS heals quickly and completely from his concussion. Those concussions are nothing to take lightly. Hope your DD1 gets her car problems solved soon with out too much expense. Sending hugs to you and hoping for comfort in the loss of your pet.

Hello everyone!
Mae, so sorry to hear of such sad news. Thank goodness that mild concussions can be safe events these days thanks to the awareness of others to get them professional medical care right away. sending him good prayers! DDI's car problems are a nuisance to be sure, but so glad they are not more serious. Your dog's demise is surely sad though. Very sad.

I miss the Forest and hope to be able to spend more time here soon. Just have multiple top priorities with family and work right now. Waving to you all as I head to bed and hope for some shut eye.

It was almost an all day project as I had lots of family: parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and some friends. I feel kind of sad that I'm not able to do this anymore. I have one sister who lives in my hometown and she will take flowers or plants to our parents gravesite but that is it.
I grew up making the hometown cemetary where my mom's father and her younger sister were buried, and the neighboring town where my dad's parents and 3 siblings who died as infants plus dad's brother who was killed as an adult helping to clean stone areas and place flowers and then wait impatiently while the service was held and watching my dad be in the color guard/firing squad....hoping to obtain one of the shell casings so we could use them for whistles----then as a young adult I didn't go as we live 2 and 4 hours away and my parents took care of doing it. Then my dad passed away and was buried in yet a third cemetary and when mom moved to live close to us, I made the trip alone each year to do the honors. When mom passed, DH began going with me....
But having grown up performing the annual trip, I never have taken any of my kids. They are all adults now and have never experienced the ritual ceremony held or done the flowers. Actually that is wrong,,,the youngest has participated in color guards and bands playing for the ceremony but not at any of the cemetary sites where we have family ........
Not sure how I feel about that neglect of duty. They know where my parents are resting but not sure they could even locate the sites for the other two.
It is sure different from when I was growing up.

Oh my! Jeanette, what did you do at card club....did you go straight to Church from there b/c you made so many beautiful things you didn't want to stop and then you were too pooped by the time you made it home to come to the Forest?

I got it along with 2 rolls of adhesive for $23.96 with free shipping. I'm hoping that's a good deal. I've been shopping for a while and that's the lowest I found it.

Linda, my SU! demo sent me an email last week and said mine and my mom's catalogs are on their way. I hope I get mine before the weekend......I would love to have something that nice and pretty to look at while on the road. We're going to Pigeon Forge, leaving out early Sunday.

Well, off to finish my coffee and get laundry done!

I love my ATG. The tape lasts a long time, but I still get frustrated when I have to stop what I'm doing to "reload", lol.

Have fun in Pigeon Forge. We had so much fun there, will definitely be going back.
