Post done and closed valentines day card kits

Its that time of the year when we start thinking about hearts and Cupid's, feathers and such. I make Valentine's day cards with my girls every year. We pull out everything we can find related to it in my craft room. Well I'm tired of putting it all back together! Why not a swap ? Then me and my girls could just use the kits and my craftroom stays safe. so here we go ladies.

Kits should contain:
4- 6 stamped images on white cs. In black copic safe ink (like mementos). Not colored in.
4-6 6x6 cs/paper designer papers encouraged
12inches of ribbon, fiber, cordage of some kind
6-8 embellishments. Like brads, buttons, eyelets etc
extra items could include feathers, diecuts, charms, handmade embellishments, doilies, borders anything to give our lots a special touch. Anything extra is not required but since I like to receive extras I put lots of extras in my kits.

This a 3+1 swap. The extra is for me the hostess.

We know the rules but lets go over them anyways. Please put your kits in a baggie with your SCSI name and real name. In a sase envelope with return postage plus two stamps. Ill return any extra postage in your return envelope. No metered mail since its only good for that day.

Send to:
Heather Parker
7309 princess Anne Dr
mechanicsville, VA 23111

Please have them in my hand no later than Jan 26th. If I have them all early ill send them early. I know its a short turn around but kits are fast and simple to put together. If
life gets in the way and you have to drop just pm me.

Ok I have mine all packed... I put 2 pieces of heart paper, 2 pieces of pattern hearts and stripes, 1 piece of crimson card stock, 2 pretty flower stamped images, a happy valentines word stamped image, a heart image and a little lovely word image, for fibers I put in pinky satin ribbon and a piece of bright pink grosgrain ribbon, for bling I punched a bunch of card stock hearts in red, two heart hat pins, two die cut hearts in pink,a circle letter-pressed heart coaster, and four little foil heart bling... I will pop these in the mail tomorrow Can't wait to see what others put together...

Those kits sound wonderful-I can't wait to see them! I'm including several sheets of patterned paper to each kit, some brads and buttons, some red, pink, and valentine-themed ribbon, a few stamped images, (some images stamped in pink and red) some valentine-themed die cuts, a paper doily for each kit, some hearts punched out of glitter paper, some home-made (not store bought) die cuts, some paper flowers, and possibly a dry-embossed image for each kit.

Mine will be postal soon! If my budget wasn't so tight, I would be doing more than one set, too. But getting to do it all is great.

hi heather - i only have archival brilliance - graphite black, which is okay for copics but not the best... is that okay as an ink to use?

i'm burning through my kits in a challenge i'm doing and would love to be able to restock my drawer!!!

That's fine. Just label your kits with your ink type. So everyone knows.

can i take 3 spots? i don't mind getting one of my own back. I'll get them in the mail sometime within the next couple days. i'm still working on samples using my kits... i figure i'd make extra for myself since the purpose of my doing this is to stock up on kits!!

and here's a blog post about using brilliance with copics: I Like Markers: Stamping papers and Inks

basically you should heat-set my images if you plan on using them with copics. i did NOT heat set them because not everyone uses copics and it's not a hard thing to do if you need to do it. hope that's okay.

Sure sounds good I've got you for 3 spots. Thanks for joining. I. Don't really use copics myself, but the other ladies might. I will check out the. The link though. I use a lot of colored pencils I find I can create more depth with them.

I have started mine, hopefully the stuff I ordered will arrive soon. This was a great excuse to buy some new dies. These are cute, from Savvy stamps, I saw the Happy Valentine's Day heart die and had to have it, and of course found more. There are always more. But my New Year challenge to self, don't buy anything unless I am going to use it that month. You saved me just in time!! - - Christine

Hah! You're so funny. I read that today, it made me laugh. As I was in the Michael's trying to pull a coupon off my phone. Up popped the email from scs. I have a bad habit myself. Its great knowing that I'm not the only one. I have a stash, who doesn't? But I'm an instructor for scrapbooking and paper crafts for the cultural arts center at glen Allen in Virginia. And taking my materials and tools back and forth was getting to be such a burden I had to ask for a closet. Now that I have it there. I keep finding things I've forgotten about in my craft room. Bought for a project that never got done or something else I thought would work better. Its amazing. I should think before I find something new. If I'm not going to use it in a month. Wait and it'll go on sale before I need it

Great! ill be stalking my mail man. He's gotten used to it by now. He usually came every day around 6-630pm. When I was expecting swaps I've started putting cookies in the mailbox. Now he comes around 4-430pm. I've had some bad experiences with the mail. Gotta be nice to Joe mailman.
