WOW! I can't believe they arrived already! ...all the way from Ontario!
[QUOTE=KandMsMom;19966930]All kinds of new goodies, I had so much fun with this swap, I watched a few episodes of old 7th Heaven shows while I made them.
Oh how fun... I remember watching 7th heaven when I was growing up.. who knew it was still on tv.... So glad that you had so much fun creating.. I cannot wait to see what you made
So I had to go to the dentist tonight... a new dentist, becasue my old dentist did not accept my new insurance... and I sorta pulled out a filling by flossing my molars last week.... so I thought the new dentist would take some pictures and then make an appointment to fix the tooth... nope he didn't want to waste any time got me in and then did a root canal ... I guess I just was not ready or expecting that all in one shot... long story I am in a good deal of pain in my mouth and its swollen and super sore... and I didn't eat before I went becasue I didn't realize I was getting this done... so my belly is really hungry on top of this
So here is my finished cards! Sorry the pictures are not bettr. On the full sized card it is hard to see the bling on the butterfly and up the side of the card. The 3 x 3 was alot of fun to make and there was glitter everywhere!

Hello--just a quick post. I am one of the BRAK Coordinators and we are very much in need of some new BRAK Volunteers to join us. We are in the middle of our Spring Cleaning and have already lost more than 20 members and there are another 15 or so who have not responded to our PM's--so we may be taking them off of our list.
We want to still have enough BRAK Volunteers to be able to have each RAK member who is active get 3 birthday cards. In order to assign each RAK member to 3 of our volunteers--we need to add some new members. So--could that be you? You do need to be RAK member to join the BRAK Volunteers. If you are already a RAK member--please PM me and we will get you all set. If you are not a RAK member--please click on join a group on the left side of this page and follow the directions for approval. When you are in as a RAK member--then PM me.
As a BRAK Volunteer, you decide how many birthday cards you want to send each month--usually between 4-7 cards--though some do less and some do more. You also decide if you want to send cards out of your country or stay within--again your choice. As a volunteer, you would get a PM around the 20th of each month directing you to the forum where the RAK birthdays are listed with their addresses along with the assigned names for you. You then send out the birthday cards as needed. A tip--I write out my cards when the list comes out and put the date of the birthday in the right upper corner of the envie--where the stamp goes. I have the stack of cards ready to go throughout the month--slap on the stamp--and away they go.
Anyway--so much for a quick post.............................. BUT--we really need some new members so I am checking in with my friends in the swap and blog threads I am a part of to see if there are some ladies you might want to join us. PM me if you have any questions or if you are already a RAK member and want to sign up as a BRAK Volunteer.
Thanks so much for reading this long post....................... Hugs!
Barb... that is too bad that so many people have decided to not send cards any more... a few years back during lent instead of giving up something for lent I decided to take on a new task... that task was to send an anonymous card, package, or goodie to someone each day... And by Joining BRAK it provided me with more people to send to ... I greatly enjoy crafting birthday cards to send out each month... I do the same thing you do too Barb, I write the date on the envie and then just drop them in the mailbox as the month goes along...
I will up the anti for anyone in this swap who joins BRAK , and posts here to tell us you joined, I will send you a little surprise in your return package...
Think of how you can make the world a better place, by just sending out a few beautiful birthday cards each month
