I am far from a fashionista or a diva. My fav outfit is a tshirt and a pair of yoga pants. lol
I'd still love a spot however
you can absolute have a spot, yoga pants and all!! (don't tell but that's my favorite at home outfit too!!)
get this my daughter (she 17 almost 1 told me last friday that I dress very badly and i needed to start wearing more things she picks out for me. and I wasn't allowed to buy another pair of black pants! Hum...must be the t-shirts and sweat pants I wear? or maybe the pants one size too big (gotta have room to grow right?!) I aparently I'm no fashionista either!!

hee hee my daughter (almost 16) says the same thing. i have never carried a purse and she complains constantly that i need to have a purse with me everytime i go out.
what is with these kids.......the nerve! telling us what to do
Good morning my fellow "non" fashionista friends, lol, I too am no fashion expert. My 11 soon to be 12 year old granddaughter wants to be a fashion designer. She does excellant work, however, she thinks Meemaw should dress to look younger. What my granddaughter thinks I look old??? lol.... I agree with you Lori, kids these days. Well ladies I do hope everyone has a great day today. Try to get some creative time in if you can. By the way Lori, great to see you again. I hope all is well. Huggs
funny you say your GD wants to be a fashion designer....when my DD was walking around the store picking out cloths for me...she made the comment that she thinks she wants to be a personal shopper!! Her goal has been Nuclear pharmacist! so to go from that to personal shopper...I was really hoping she was joking!! Granted it'd save me a ton of money on college....but i only like about 1/2 of what she picked out.
some days I think she's secretly taking pictures of me to send in to that show...oh what the heck is the name of it....it's the one with the guy and the girl and the re-dress you...they throw away all your favorite clothes and teach you how to dress yourself better, then send you shopping...OH it's "What Not to Wear"....that's it....I know she's secretly plotting to get me on that show.
lol Kristyn, I used to watch that show. They toss your favorite clothes up a tube to never be seen again. lol...That is funny that your gd made such a drastic change in what she wants to be. How old did you say she is? Hopefully she is still young and may change her mind again. My gd has never wanted to be anything else, as of yet. She is only 12 so she may change her mind. However, I told her I would help her reach whatever it is she dreams of doing in life. She is a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice so I told her if at 16 she wants to give singing a shot I will take her to Nashville and see what we can get going for her. However, she says nope to the singing she just wants to do fashion. Man at 12 years old all I wanted to do was beat up boys. lol
You know, my fellow fashion friends, I don't think I have invited y'all to come and check out what's new with the Alphabet Challenge. Round 4 started yesterday along with a "Dare" challenge to boot. I have a feeling we are going to have a lot of fun with this one, so make sure to hop on over and take a peek. Just click on the link below and post #1 tells you all about it. Remember, you do NOT have to play every week to join in on the fun. I hope to see all of my forest friends there.
Location: In the Forest with my Forest Friends, of course!

Good Morning Friends!!!
EEK!!! It’s Friday the 13th! Anybody feeling overly superstitioius?
... ♥ ... ♥ ... ♥ ...
Today is National French Fries Day, Fool’s Paradise Day, Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day, Collector Car Appreciation Day, Gruntled Workers Day,
and Embrace Your Geekness Day.
Enjoy your holiday of choice today!
Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us that Sometimes a Second Job Isn’t Worth the Hastle
A woman was working as a short-order cook at two restaurants in the same neighborhood. On a Saturday night, she was finishing up the dinner shift at one restaurant and hurrying to report to work at the second place, but she was delayed because one table kept sending back an order of hash browns, insisting they were cold. She replaced them several times, but still the customers were dissatisfied.
When the cook was able to leave, she raced out the door and arrived at her second job. She was immediately handed her first order by one of the servers.
"Make sure these hash browns are hot," the server said, "because these people just left a restaurant down the street that kept serving them cold ones."
Did you know that to celebrate Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day, they are giving away a free meal to anyone who dresses up like a cow? Will people really do this? It's got to be cheaper to buy the meal than to buy a cow costume!!! Of course, I detest dressing in costume so maybe it would appeal to others.
Hi Lois, nice to see you. I would have to agree, I think the meal would be cheaper and less embarrassing. I see in your siggy line you support OWH, are they still accepting donations?
Hi Dani. Nice to see you too! Yes, OWH is still going strong. If you have a few cards you want to contribute, you can include them in your swap envelope to Kristyn. Then she can add them to the next box we send. Or you can go to their website - operationwritehome.org - for information and inspiration. They have blogs, tutorials, challenges and galleries. Lots of great stuff.

Oh this is good to hear. I not only have cards but there is a dear SCS friend that sounds like she may like to try her hand at a swap, however, she said the reason she doesn't is because she would have no use for the cards she receives. She only likes to send out the cards she makes. So, I've been giving her ideas on donating them. Now I can give her a for sure place to donate to, well I told her about the Ronald McDonald House too. Thank you so much and I will try to keep in mind to put my cards in the envie going to Kristyn.
