RMD House is another wonderful place to donate cards. You can also check out Cards for a Cause right here on SCS. They list a new organization every month and you can participate or not...no commitment...no minimum number of cards to send.

There is a little girl on Facebook that has won mine and my daughters hearts and she is a little diva that loves getting mail. Her name is Adalia Rose and she has Progeria Syndrome which is a rare genetic condition that accelerates aging in children. So if you have any extra diva cards you could send her way I'm sure she would love it.

the Cards for a cause is another really neat place to have cards redistributed...I was able to donate some cards with glitter to a cause on that link....its a fun challange...I really wish I was retired already so I had more time to create cards for everything I want to play in. but his link is a great way to contribute to some smaller places with needs. each month there's a different theme....so check back often!

Evening Ladies...I'm not sure How much I'll be on this weekend. We are suppose to go camping saturday night...but it's looking like rain..that's a good thing and a bad thing...great to make mud when riding 4 wheelers...not so great to be sleeping in tho.
I just found out about it recently. Actually Kristyn recommended an organization and it was chosen to be the cause one month, so of course she "made" me sign up.
G'morning my fellow Divas. I hope everyone slept well. Jeanette, have you ever done one of MotherMark's teapot challenges? She asks everyone to send their cards to a fellow SCSer (or a loved one of a fellow SCSr) to help raise their spirits. Sometimes it's sad tho because the person may have a very sick child or something and then we find out the child died. However, I like to think we made that child smile a few more times in their short little life. kwim? And it's not always a child...that was just an example of a possible sad outcome. Usually we get good news. In fact, you can join MotherMark's email group, she calls it her cheater group. And she will not only send you out the challenge early but she sends out updates on how the people we have sent our cards to are doing. She's really an awesome person to spend as much time as she does trying to help other smiles. If you have never checked her Teapot Tuesday out...go ahead...they are a friendly bunch. Oh yeah, she also sends out a "Newbie" alert whenever anyone new joins a challenge, just so everyone can welcome the newbie. And she is like we are; if you can play this week, awesome we'd love to see your creation. If you can't but have time to stop by and say Hi, we would love that just as much. And if you can't stop by at all we hope all is okay and we hope to see you again real soon. Anyways you can find her teapot challenge HERE. If nothing else, check it out just to read her funny story she made up for the week's challenge. I'm telling you the women is a Saint in my book.

A California trucker was charged with trying to avoid a toll at the George Washington Bridge after a Port Authority Police officer spotted him covering his license plates with duct tape. The officer pulled him over after he drove through an E-ZPass lane without a transponder.
The truck driver was charged with theft of services and tampering with public documents (his license plates) a crime which will result in a hefty fine. The cash toll for six-axle vehicles on the George Washington Bridge, including tractor trailers, is $78 at all times, which would have been considerably less expensive.

The children listened quietly as the pastor shared the lesson during Children’s Church. He told the children about sheep, that they weren't smart and needed lots of guidance, and that a shepherd's job was to stay close to the sheep, protect them from wild animals and keep them from wandering off and doing dumb things that would get them hurt or killed.
He pointed to the little children in the room and said that they were the sheep and needed lots of guidance. Then the minister put his hands out to the side, palms up in a dramatic gesture, and with raised eyebrows said to the children, "If you are the sheep then who is the shepherd?" He was pretty obviously indicating himself.
A silence of a few seconds followed. Then a young visitor said, "Jesus, Jesus is the shepherd."
The young minister, obviously caught by surprise, said to the boy, "Well, then, who am I?"
The little boy frowned thoughtfully and then said with a shrug, "I guess you must be a sheep dog."

The young couple received some very nice wedding gifts, including a toaster oven. Soon after the honeymoon, the bride and her husband tried it out. Almost immediately, smoke billowed out of the toaster oven.
"Get the owner's manual!" the husband shouted.
"I can't find it anywhere!" cried the bride a short time later.
"Oops!" came a voice from the kitchen. "Well, the toast is fine, but the owner's manual's burned to a crisp."
Hellerrr my fellow divas. How is everyone this morning? I am having a ruff morning. Lots of pain and not able to move much. Dawn (the friend that moved in) had to bring me my computer. G'morning Divas. Well, I just woke up about 45 mins ago and I woke up in pain, however, I CAN walk today. YAY!!!! So, what are everyone's plans today? It takes me a bit of time to get moving in the morning........ moving away from my computer and SCS, in my case. I will have to get moving earlier than usual today, though, since I have a heap of tomatoes to can!

oh my goodness...so sorry I went MIA for two days. I was going to get back on sunday night and after my camping trip, but I woke up sunday morning with a headache that turned into a bad migraine by the time I got home and I was in bed by 8:30pm (very early for me) and yesterday I didn't stop running till about 11:00 pm when I finally crawled into bed.
pwiswell, leonag, missrain, and brneyedgirl-I got you all down for spots. Welcome and thanks for joining...great to see some of you again, and for those I don't know I look forward to getting to know you and seeing your creations!
Dani-Good to hear your feeling a bit better....yesterday I woke up hurting too...I think it's this stupid weather we are having...hot one minute then rain, then hot...it can't decide...it triggering my migrains and making my back ache! sunday was horrible...I haven't felt like that ever...I had the shakes, wanted to throw up and had a migraine all at the same time...and with all that going on I didn't even notice that my back was killing me too! I hope your day of crafting is a very productive day!
So I'm wondering.....How do you celebrate Yellow Pig Day?
Kristyn, thank you. I have never had a migraine so I do not know what they feel like. However, my mother used to get them. She would go into her bedroom, close all the shades to make it nice and dark in there, put earplugs in her ears, put a wet rag on her head, and sometimes just cry because they hurt that bad. I always felt horribe for her. I sure hope you didn't go thru anything like that. If you did, I sure hope it is gone away now.
I hope to be pretty productive in my stamping room, however, I need to lay down first. I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open. So....with that said...I am going to go and do just that; lay down. I will see everyone in a bit. Huggs to y'all.
Welcome Back Kristyn. I am so sorry to hear that you had a migraine. I hope you are feeling better now. Did you had fun camping??
Yes we did....my husband and I (and a few friends) have started going every saturday night...we go what I call hamock camping....we take our ATV's and one box of gear (for each of us) consisting of our own canned food, clothing, and hammock and sleeping bag. one cooler for drinks. the ride out to our camp site...tye our hammock in the trees and and just chill....no tent, no grills, only what we can fit in our box...open fire to cook on...it's really very nice...I'll have to see if I can find some pictures of our camp site...it's so quick and easy this way...you don't have to spend half a day setting up camp, then half a day tearing down camp...this is nice when we just go out for a day...I bring a book, lay in my hammock and read...ever now and again we go for a ride on the bikes...this weekend since we finally had some rain the trails weren't so dry and dusty like they been so that made it even nicer.
Seriously, I think it's great to get other people hooked, I mean involved in swaps!
