Completed--- Cards for RMH- due: Nov 1st---holidays/birthday/all occasion
Welcome ladies,
I want to get a batch of cards together for my RMH in Columbia MO....And i'm looking forward towards the holidays...I already have enough Halloween- (and of course sending those in early October) BUT I was wondering if anyone wants to participate in a swap for Thanksgiving/Christmas and then I decided to throw in birthdays and ALL OCCASION just to round out the swap...Now the due date is NOVEMBER 1st....so there is plenty of time to sign up ---and the amt is small---4+1 with the +1 going to the RMH....
Description: Please use at least 2 layers & 1 embellishment! If you make a size different than will fit into an A-2, please include an envie. AND you choose your catagory---
1. Thanksgiving/ Fall-Autumn
2. Christmas
3. Birthday
4. ANY/ ALL occasion--these can be blank on the outside a hodgepodge of cards or should I say an assortment
Quantity: 4+1 -You will not get one of your own back, so make an extra one for yourself! You will get back the cards made from the same company you sign up for--so if you want both kinds of cards back, sign up for both! Sign up for as many spots as you'd like, but please, make a different design for each spot you take.
Vendor Products: Please use very good quality cardstock (PTI/Gina K/SU). No vendor restriction on embellishments - use as many embellishments as you like. Designer papers are encouraged, but not required. YOU do not need to send the sleeves or envies...since I have enough for this swap!--- IF you put a sentiment on the inside--PLEASE stamp it on another piece of blank paper so that i can place it on the back of the plastic sleeve...so that they can read the sentiment without having to open the card.
Recipe: This is not required, but please put a sticky note or stamp your card with your signature, so everyone will know who to thank and who to leave a comment for!
Due Date: November first - I will mail them as soon as I receive all swaps! If I receive the swaps early, I will send them out early. If your cards are received after the due date, I may have to return them to you. Please post in the thread or send me a PM when your cards are postal.
Mailing instructions: Place swap cards in a large baggie for waterproof purposes. Write your real name, SCS name and swap name on a piece of paper or the baggie for identification purposes.
Swap Return: Please include self-addressed stamped envelope. The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount used to mail to hostess. Please include 2 additional stamps to insure enough postage to return swaps. Additional postage will be returned if not used. PLEASE SEND ONLY POSTAGE STAMPS, NO DATED STAMPS OR METERED MAIL--My Post Office will not take them If you would rather use Priority mail, please include one $5:15 priority stamp or cash and a self-addressed priority label.
Finally----
PLEASE PM me for my addy once you are ready to send ---and please post as least every 2 weeks---if you have to withdraw--LIFE happens, just please be kind and let me know....

I was able to make some cards for my house last night....they had been sitting there and i just decided to get them done...I'm sending the halloween box in september...started pulling out some halloween card candy to see what looks good....
Lorraine--thanks so much..I'll add you to the list with "donate all' behind it....you are always so generous when it comes to the swaps....happy creating!
Afternoon bump--come one, come all, either swapping or donating--all welcome...This date is out there a way's but its never too soon to be designing for the holidays...(makes the season longer -in a good way )
I don't know why i've been off all week....the weekend will be approaching soon...I get sunday off....so that is a positive...off next 2 days as well...needing to get some chores done, errands that sort of thing...and watering the yard/flowers...and praying for rain
that's it a nutshell hope all are staying cool
remember card making KEEPS YOU COOL...yes its a well known fact that as you create your blood supply is in your brain and it cools down your arms and legs...
If you don't believe me look it up in "LINDA"S book of funnies"...okay if that doesn't work try the AC and a cold drink....
for most of you TGIF....unfortunately I have to work tomorrow but will be off sun...oh well, at least i have a steady paycheck and for that i'm truly grateful...
I haven't even thought abut this swap yet. ..BUT i am getting a box ready to send before halloween...yup you guessed it its the halloween box...I have to set a date in my head when to send it so that i can get some spooky cards ready...i have others--about 25 and then some halloween...
anyway that is the game plan and i'll stick to it...

was just looking on the other swaps...thinking of joining the holiday CAS swap---to make cards for the RMH---that way i can make some cards but also have some variety....

hope all have a great sunday---it actually is drizzling outside (hurray!) and I plan on getting some cleaning done and some crafting in between....working on some knitted washcloths for christmas and some cards....a rounded crafting day for me
I was in my craft room---rewind--i was on the computer looking through some free digi sites and i like...found 2 that drew inspiration
one was "sorry I have been as busy as a bee"---so i printed 4 and over the bee i did a punch art bee...--4 cards thank you very much
AND i found another one that was "your celebration" in a collage type blockset...printed out those and in process of making 6 cards with that...a CAS type but cute none the less....
AND then we have monday come aorund the corner...have to do some yard work today---if i don't get into craft room today it will have to wait until weekend

Kristyn--that great and thanks so much for the "extra" ---I have a box that i have divided into 4 different sections...right now the all occasions and x mas have more than the b-day--the thanksgiving is empty...that wil be my next focus...
I am making a box to send out before this swap is done...it had halloween cards in it, i thought i had only a FEW---i was wrong...I have at least 20....and stil counting...
well i never made it to the rubber stamp convention...(i had gone to the scrapbooking one 3 months back) BUT i did go to my local scrapbook store that was having a garage sale...I went towards the end of the day so i could browse ( the morning was madness they said) and there were alot of retired SU stamps...I found 2 wheels (gratitude and a christmas one) and i found something that i was wanting...i don't know what the name is but its a LONG stapler but it puts fasteners in (wide staples) anyway for that gadget and 4 packages of fasteners...$7...and the fasteners were almost brand new...I tried it when i got home and it was a nifty find for a nifty price...
I plan on making something today--I had been working on getting the package together for halloween...misc...total 100 cards...
and then my other box for this swap that i'm getting together as well..AND in between that playing with my all occasion card set...its turning out really nice....i'm happy with it...I'm starting to really pay attention to the inside as well..not alot of saying but decorating it a little with either an stumpie stamp (from stamps by Judith) or some decorating layered paper on the inside...
anyway--playing in the craft room and i'm happy....will do some cleaning, grocery shopping and of course a little crafting today as well--have a wonder Sunday ladies...
