Good Grief! It has been 2 years since I have hosted a swap! But I am back, and can't wait to see everyone's new and adorable creations!

Current Status: OPEN & GROWING!!

Name of Swap: Look Mommy! It's my Birthday!!
Due March 1st, 2010 5+1… +1 goes to local Pregnancy Ministry! (I’m the Executive Director, and I can’t make enough cards to keep up!!)

Description: Full (Invitation size) cards; please leave inside blank; Please use at least 2 layers of card stock and at least one embellishment. Do not send envelopes.

Quantity: 5+1… +1 goes to local Pregnancy Ministry!
We have a program known as “BRIDGES” for moms facing unplanned pregnancies. They attend a support group, and are able to get items for their babies, such as diapers, clothes, and even cribs! When her baby turns one year old, the client graduates. We like to give a handmade birthday card for the child…wouldn’t you like to help? Boy cards, girl cards, neutral cards…we can use them all!

In August of 2009, we increased our enrollment from 36 to 48 women...so we now have 4 groups of 12 moms!

I am also including a request for “Graduation” cards for the moms. It is quite an accomplishment for them to make it through this program, so we want to show these women how special they are!! These cards don’t have to have a “cap and gown” motif…anything with Celebration… Way to Go… You did it…and other encouragements!!

You can sign up for “baby’s first birthday” or the “congratulations” cards…I’ll add as many spots as needed!!

Vendor products: Stamps: NVR, Cardstock: SU! or high quality cardstock, Embellishments: NVR
Please include a separate piece of paper with your Real Name, SCS Name, and the Swap Name. Recipes are not required, but definitely preferred (by me, at least!) Just list products and techniques used.
I also encourage everyone to sign the back of their cards…I love to give feedback to people who make such beautiful cards!

Deadlines:
Sign-up date: Feb. 15th, 2010
Due in my hands by March 1st, 2010
I will not hold the swap back for late arrivals. If you determine that you can’t do the swap, just let me know on this thread, or send a Private Message (PM). Late cards will be returned.

Mailing instructions:
Packaging:
Place swap items in a large baggie for waterproof purposes.
Write your real name, SCS name and this swap's name on a piece of paper and include in the baggie for identification purposes.
Swap Return: PM me when you are ready to mail your swaps. I will then give you my address.
Place baggie inside a self-addressed stamped envelope for return mail purposes. The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail it to me. To insure that enough postage will cover the returned swap items, include additional postage which will be returned if not used.
Write on the outside of the envelope the name of the swap. If you used any kind of embellishments, it is recommended that you use a padded envelope for mailing purposes.
