Good Morning Friends!

... ... ... ...

Today is Ecological DebtDay,
National Spumoni Day,
Good Roads Day,
Men’s Grooming Day,
Poets’ Day,
and Senior Citizen’s Day.

Enjoy your holiday(s) of choice today!

Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us to BEWARE of DUMB Criminals!

A word to Dumb Criminals: Don't call the cops when you're embarking on a petty crime spree. It's a lesson two men learned the hard way, thanks to a humble pocket dial to 911.

The Police Department provided a recording of a 911 call. In surprisingly decent quality, the audio documents just over a half-an-hour in the lives of two 20-year-olds who ended up being intercepted and charged with burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property.

The 911 call was still open at the time of the arrests, and the officer took the phone and ended the call himself. From the sounds of things, the two men were just sitting around chit-chatting when one of their phones dialed 911. The 911 dispatcher's attempts to communicate with the callers went unnoticed, likely because the phone was buried in one of their pockets. When one of the men declared, fairly quickly, that they "need weed," the dispatcher decided to keep listening. The pair then decided to break into a car.

The dispatcher was able to hear the men plot how to break into the vehicle, the moment the glass shattered, and even the strange way in which the men divided up the prescription pills they discovered. (One of the men had trouble counting out the pills, and can be heard cursing before restarting his count.)

The dispatcher was able to feed information from the call to a police officer — and with that, it didn't take long to find the two men. "He's following the s*** out of me, bro," one of the men said, once he realized that the officer was trailing behind their car. A few moments later, they got pulled over.

Though the men tried to play it innocent — "What'd I do officer?" is heard — the situation resolved itself quickly. The officer searched the vehicle, found the stolen items, and quickly busted the two men, one of whom couldn't wrap his mind around what happened. "The phone really called 911?" he asked. "This phone really called 911? [Expletive!!!]"

if no one has answered....for normal A2 cards you do not need to include envies...for cards of another size swaps usually require them

Does the butterfly candy have to be something purchased (like a package of butterflies) or can it be something made? If it can be the latter, I would like a spot in the candy group. Thanks!

Good Morning Friends!

... ... ... ...

Today is Be an Angel Day,
National Pecan Torte Day,
World Daffodil Day,
America’s Cup Day,
and Southern Hemisphere Hoodie Hoo Day.

Enjoy your holiday(s) of choice today!

Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us that sometimes it’s best to Hire a Handyman!

A DO-IT-YOURSELF enthusiast has been banned by his wife from taking on any more tasks after causing about $30,000 of damage. Chris, 21, a pensions administrator, has left a trail of destruction in their two-bedroom terrace house.

While trying to change a washer on a tap, he went up into the loft to look for the stop-crock and disconnected two pipes, flooding the house. He later returned to the loft to look for the television aerial and crashed through the ceiling, showering plaster on his wife who was ironing.

When he wanted to lay a carpet in the bedroom, he knocked out the light bringing the roll of material into the house. He cut a large hole in the carpet rather than move the bed. Chris once blacked both his eyes when a wheel brace slipped as he tried to change a punctured tire on the couple’s car.

He ruined a kitchen work surface by trimming off so much of it to make it fit that it ended up far too small. In his hands the electric drill becomes a dangerous weapon. He cut his leg badly when he dropped the drill as he tried to re-hang a broken garden gate. Then, while trying to put up a coat rack in the hall, he drilled through an electric cable sending out sparks that set fire to the curtains.

This made him more safety conscious. When he decided to put some speakers on the walls he turned off the electricity. Then, unable to understand why his electric drill had stopped working, he took it apart to see if he could fix the fault. Having failed to find anything wrong with it, he tried to put it back together again but by then he had forgotten where all the pieces went. He went out and bought another drill and was about to take it back because it didn’t work when his wife arrived home and reminded him that he had turned off the electricity.

Chris’ wife, a job training manager, said she had had enough. "Chris will have a go at absolutely anything," she said. "But in his case DIY stands for Dangerously Incompetent Yob’."

Good Morning Friends!

I'm a bit later than usual this morning... I've just gotten to the computer, since I had to go to some yard sales first.

... ... ... ...

Today is Valentino Day,
National Spongecake Day,
Permanent Press Day,
and Hug Your Boss Day.

Enjoy your holiday(s) of choice today!

Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us to Beware of Internet Exposure!

Like many good professional, a plastic surgeon used her website to advertise her skills. Her specialty is breast enlargement. And her patients weren't happy that she was posting their before-and-after photos -- complete with their full names -- on her website for the entire world to see.

One patient said she was unaware of the doctor's advertising until she was traveling for work. She noticed that some IT guys in an office she was visiting were treating her oddly. That's when a colleague asked her if she'd ever searched her name in Google images. When the woman did so, she was horrified to find that the internet was awash with photos of her rebuilt mammaries.

A lawyer representing the woman discovered that the doctor may have featured up to 29 patients on her website.

FYI – there will be no Public Service Announcement again until Monday – I will be leaving early tomorrow morning for a conference. Have a GREAT weekend!

In the past, some have included envelopes for 3x3 and some have not. I don't feel like they are required since it is a 3x3 swap. I have lots of 3x3 envies and would be happy to include them if needed.

Linda - Dave says he has "a bunch" though he did not specify what kind. When he gets home I will let you know what all we have and we can work out how to get it to you. I am thinking of a trip to Westfarms this weekend as I need to get the girlie a new ipad. Last year school supplied them, this year it is bring your own.

Let me know if you come my way. I'm around most of the weekend. I do have to bring Makayla to a birthday party in South Windsor tomorrow from 2-4 at Nomads? I think its called. I've been there before. Anyway, when you have a plan, let me know. And thank you Dave

Good morning!

Linda - I just took inventory. The 84 is in pretty bad shape, so he is going back, right now actually, to see if there is a nicer one (very likely, as he was just looking at the model and not the shape it was in).

If I make it to Westfarms today I will bring it by your house.
