Wink Attention Canadian Swappers and Hostesses

I thought I'd start a thread where Canadian hostesses can post their swaps and where Canadian swappers can find Canadian swaps to join all in one place. This will help us save on postage! So lets start posting our swaps

Make sure you write what type of swap it is and the due date when you're posting to save people from having to open up every one.

This is great. I just recently joined a couple of swaps, two of them the hostess is in Canada and the other one the hostess is in the US and that cost a fortune to send out and get a SASE, so I don't really want to do anymore swaps to US addresses. Do any Canadians have swaps for Tilda's, I just ordered a few Tilda's and when they get here I would love to be able to swap with others, or even open image swaps for Copic's.

I don't know about any, but I can start one if we have more people interested... I didn't like Tildas at first (looked like little hippo faces), but I'm starting to like them - especially the new ones - very cute

I am the same way, I thought they were kind of weird, then I received a couple of the images, and they are starting to grow on me. Let me know if you get a Tilda swap going, my order from Magnolia and 7 Kids College Fund should be here in the next week.

just 2 quick questions before I start the Tilda swap - do you want it to be a Canadian ONLY swap or do we let anybody to play? Do you want separate category for accesories or do we just mix them up?

I wouldn't have a problem with it being open to everyone, and I haven't ordered any of the accessories yet so if we had it mixed up then that would be great.

Just thought I'd add a new swap I've started.

Out of this World Card Swap

I thought it would be fun to do something with everything in space: the sun, moon, starts, astronauts, rocket ships, aliens, etc.

okay
okay
I will replay one of my oldies but goodies if there is interest...
"Starbucks Scrapbook Travel Mug Insert Swap"
just like it sounds...

only ship inserts
only one layer
only current SU
room for photo optional so it can be like a card or a page...
a great swap for guy stuff and for when you need a quickie gift.
- just get a readily availible tall mug from buckies and pop on insert in!
pack in giftbag with additional coffee or treats depending on occasion.

Char, set it up as a swap or you'll not know if anyone is interested or not! You can always cancel if you don't get lots of girls! Plus the fact some of us might need a little more of an explanation, I haven't a clue what you're on about. Mind you, today I am more than a little tired so that maybe why.

Hi Ladies, can someone explain how the express swap works? My understanding is that you list stamps that you have and what kind of paper and ink that you will use to stamp the image, but where I am not really understanding is why you have to keep adding stamp sets twice a day to your inventory. How many images can you start out with and who pays for the postage to the receiver. The other thing is if there is an image that you would like to get from someone else and someone has already asked can I also ask. Forgive me I have just started playing in the swaps area and I can get really confused with somethings, and the person that started the Canadian express swap don't be ofended you wrote out the instructions very nicely I am just more of a visual and I think that I just need more examples of what I need to do. Thanks for your help.

Ok I just started playing express swaps and they're great. I asked some of these same questions too, but I have it figured out now, lol.

The way it works is, you look over the list of the person that last posted in red and if there is a stamp that you'd like you "snag it" by posting in the thread that you'd like _____ stamp. Then you post your list with the images linked. You can put as many of your stamps as you'd like on the list (nobody really starts with just 3). You can add stamps to your list if you see that it isn't moving, but eventually someone will snag from you and then they'll post there list. If you wanted an image, but someone snagged before you, then you'll have to wait until that list comes up again. It's a one at a time thing. I hope this helps clear things up a bit. Feel free to ask more questions if I've missed something

Thank you, this does make a little more sense to me. The other thing is say in a month or so I decided that I don't want to snag anything more or send anymore images out after I have sent out all that are asked for, how do I end my list? Also am I the one that pays for the postage, I don't have a problem with that but I am just wondering. Thanks.

You pay the postage on what you send out and whoever you snagged from will pay to send to you. Also, you can quit anytime, you just stop snagging and you only post your list every time you snag, so you don't need to end your list, you just wont be posting it anymore and since people can only snag from the last list posted, you don't have to worry about having your list on the thread further up.
