I have completed one set of these...i was working on b-day cards first...made one feminine and the other masculine colors....gotta get the boys in there somehow...PLUS i ahve found an assortment of mix-match cards --a set of 6 that will be added as well
Now i'm onto a penny black design---the frogs...gotta love them---"toadily happy" with a brad lily pad and all...but i'm putting the brad on the inside along with the words...i love decorating the insides now...
anyway---for my third set...it will be thank you and i think i'll go for another set as well--maybe a get well card...i have a cute chicken in a bowl of soup....
SO i'm taking the leap now and telling you to put me down for a fourth spot...gotta get the house started on a proper note don't you think???
ugh! thanks to my animals, i slept like crap last night. tonight i think the pets are getting kicked out. anyway...i am off to the commissary. have to stock up for the "frankenstorm". not looking forward to that one...

I live in sunny CA, what in the world is a "frankenstorm"?
we have hurricane sandy barreling down on us on the east coast and they are calling it "frankenstorm" cuz it has the potential to merge with other storms and be like that storm in the movie "storm of the century". i am NOT looking forward to this one. i am originally from CO so i am use to tornadoes but not hurricanes and last week we had a 4.0 earthquake. my first. which scared the crap out of me.
this storm right now is tracking more towards jen in PA than me in ME. but we will still get the rain and wind. i don't like wind so tomorrow we will go out and batten down the hatches and say a little prayer that everything makes it thru. i have very old HUGE trees on my property so i don't want to lose them. i {heart} those trees!
it should make land fall sometime on monday or tuesday....
I saw the news about Hurricane sandy. Please all of you stay safe. (HUGS). I am working on my birthday card.
Jen, I have not added any bulky ribbon or buttons on the card. I will take a picture over the weekend and send it to you. Just card stock and the stamped image and sentiment. I can add some brads and eyelets - they will not increase the bulk I think.
OMG Chris, that sounds scary. I don't wan to be around the ____ (fill in the blank) anything of the century. I will keep both you and Jen in my prayers. I am not a wind person. We get storms out here in CA, but to you they are probably nothing compaired to what yuo guys get on the East Coast. But I have survived 2 major earthquakes, so I know those are nothing to laugh about. Your 4.0, that isn't that bad though. It is scary if you have never felt one, but we get small ones out here all the time, and I guess I am so used to them, I never eve notice anymore.
we just got a call from brock, my oldest, he is away at college in CT....they are telling the kids that they might evacuate the college for the hurricane...so we are waiting to see what's going on. he doesn't have a car so either we go get him or put him on a train.
i hope they don't wait too long to make a decision....
Hey Chris...from the maps it looks like the heavy part of the storm comes right to just before us...so who knows. I'm sure we will have some heavy rain and winds.
If you all don't hear from me over the next few days it just means we don't have power.
brock is home safe and sound....and already at his girlfriend's house....lol i am living the college student mom dream. lol all he wanted was food when he walked thru the door and the truck keys. at least he is home with me.
we have water and propane. everything has been drug inside so i am ready.
i baked an apple pie and now i have french bread in the oven. my first batch ever. it looks good. then i am making lasagna.
They canceled school for the kids today and tomorrow.
The pantry is stocked and I'm making pumpkin muffins this afternoon. I think the kids want to the power to go out so they can eat beanless chili from a can in the dark.
I had to laugh at this, my daughter calls it eating "hobo style" and has convinced my brother on a few occasions to let her eat this way. I found some empty soup cans in the cupboard and was told they were being save for hobo dinner. Hope you guys are safe! And relatively dry.

All seems to be fine here in PA. No loss of power or damage that we know of...it's still dark but I think it's all okay. Praying for those in NJ/NY. We have friends and family out that way...hoping they are safe and warm.
i quit doing swaps quite awhile ago cuz i just got tired of it all. but jen is a good friend and i'm all for helping out a friend and a good charity.
i spend most of my stamping time making cards for my local animal shelter. i sell them with envies for $2.50 each with all proceeds going to the shelter. last year i did $821.00. was hoping to top that this year but sales have slowed. i did just get an order for 20 pet sympathy cards. >"<

Just finished watching our 2012 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants Victory Parade, and I am so hyped up. I can't wait to loot my daughter's trick or treat sack and get stamping this evening!
We were "bad" parents and didn't take our kids Trick or Treating. Their school is having a Trunk or Treat on Friday. We decided they didn't need both. Neither one of them seemed to complain.
i finally got those 20 pet sympathy cards done. now to clean up and work on regular sympathy cards for the shelter. then thanksging cards and christmas cards. i have several left over from last year but i found some images banu stamped for me last year, so i got them colored and ready to become cards. thanks banu!!
yeah, jen, you and frank are horrible parents. i'll alert child services. lol
on a very rare event, scott and i are totally alone tonight. he is picking up chinese on his way home and then we are going to bed early. we are both sick. lol lucky us.
She's going to be one mad mamojama when she finds out!
