Thank you so much!! I have very very limited ability right now. I FINALLY got my sister's scrapbook (12x12 disney princess with her oldest daughter in all her "princess" outfits) done a couple weekends ago that was her birthday (October) and Christmas present... only 5 months late! LOL and am working on my DBinL's 8x8 (daddy and daughters) scrapbook that was for HIS bday and Christmas gift... I have 6 pages done but I must say that they are going to be much less fancy dancy ... it's for a guy anyway right? They don't like as much blingey stuff LOL! but the fact that it took me from June of last year to now to get that much done tells you how slow I'm working. I actually can't even feel the tips of my thumb and first two fingers of my right hand and the third finger is starting to go as well... :P I'm hoping I get that back after the surgery!!

On a completely seperate note, if any of you pray, send up words or energy or healing spirits or anything else you want to call it, my sister Char (her name is Charlanne so Char is pronounced like Charlotte (my grandmothers were named Charlotte and Anne) was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. It's in her breast, lymph node, and liver... any and all prayers, etc. are VERY VERY welcome.

Heather U are describing EXACTLY what mt DH went through many years ago..
He too had to have surgery on his back (c6 and 7 if I am not mistaken...)
He never regretted that surgery!
Good luck to you hunn....and I will certainly keep you AND yous sister in my prayers...may the good Lord watch after her too!

I may even have to rush making a card needed to post for tomorrow...yikes!!

As far as I am concerned this week end went wayyy wayyy tooo darn fast!!
Wish I could rewind the clock back to last Friday afternoon....ehehe

Have a great evening ya all....two more sleeps until our first prize give awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy (see post # 4! )

Hi everyone!

Thanks for adding me to the swap, Sweet P.! I agree that this weekend has gone WAY too fast!! I did something I NEVER do today, and that was take a nap. I could hardly keep my eyes open this afternoon, so I curled up on the couch and three hours later, I woke up! WOW!! That felt great, but now, when I should be sleeping, I'm wide awake! I've got new stamps I need to be playing with, SO I guess I could/should be doing that.

Sending prayers for those of you and your loved ones who need uplifting. Praying for healing, peace and comfort for everyone.

Had such an emotional start of the day at work this morning....
felt very melancholic remembering my first grandchild today
as it is the anniversary of his passing-many many yrs ago...
It is also the anniversary of two other family members'
passing....*memories....that's all we have now....

Anyways, now i am back home after work AND physio...woot woott..I even conquered the mighty scary
and huge bike today!! (even if only for less than 5 minutes! but that's a start!!!
Couldn't even do that couple months ago...woot wottttt!....)

Off to get inky..I NEEDDD to make a few cardssss....

Hi Sweet P! So glad you're making progress with your physio! Keep it up!!

I'm feeling a little chagrined. I just loaded a number of cards on my blog that I made for my niece and her family who live in England. I never considered that her DH would be checking out my blog. Yep! There was a comment saying "We love the work. Keep it coming." Guess it won't be much of a surprise when they open their envelopes. Hopefully, Paul will not share my post with the rest of the family.

Hi Sweet P, I have a stamp question for you or anyone else that is on and can answer or me. I found that I have two Mo Manning stamps hiding in my stash. Jack and Ginger and Jill is two (which is a spitting image of my Tori during her terrible two's) They came just with the grey rubber (unmounted?) from stamping bella so my question is how do I mount them to my cear blocks? I know I've purchased stamps like this before but I can't remember what I did... Thanks in advance for helping this slightly confused stamper out.

Hello Wanda ♥
yeahh for finding not one but two MM stamps!
I have those two and they are priceless....(haven't stamped the lil girl yet...she does SOOO reminds me of my youngest GDaughter!!) LOL

I found a couple links for you to check out..(I am a very visual learner and prefer to SEE how things are done so plrease check both videos...

Mounting unmounted rubber stamps - YouTube

Mounting Rubber Stamp On Ez Mount Cling Foam - YouTube
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is what I do now: I now use only a drop of water to wet the back of the rubber and the stamp usually sticks well on clear blocks...
I even just use tape on the back and then clear block...I find that both methods work fine for me....
I hope this help....♥
Wanda, I usually do a very scientific and exact method of sticking grey rubber to my clear blocks called "lick and stick"
Sama, yeah mine are C5/6 and C6/7 do yup pretty much what your DH had. I have had several "scare" stories (including the ER doc but he was a jerk) but everyone I know who actually DID it is very happy.
Hi Wanda,
If you don't have any ez mount but really want to get stamping, you can just stick those grey rubber stamps to your stamping block using double sided tape. I do it all the time. It is a little trickier to get a good image, but after a few tries you will get the hang of it. If you are finding it really hard to get a good image you may want to try out what I do. I lay an old pillow case on the counter top, then the card stock, and then stamp it so that there is some cushion, since without the ez mount you are losing cushion.
Good luck and happy stamping
humm....PaolO is my younger brother Lynn...I am PaolA....ehehe...
I had an accident at work last December and hurt my back quite badly....
due to a student not so fun joke last day of school B4 xmas holidays...
I actually coudn't even walk well vertically for quite a while, nor drive until toward end of March...I used to go physio 4x a week until a lil while ago..I now go twice a week...defiently improved...but I'm not quite 100% yet...as certain movements still concern me...I can't do physio w/ my own student at work for example, or push another student in a heavy wheelchair...
I am ok doing most things though...like all sitting work w/ my assigned students. (I am on a gradual return to work program now)I also noticed ,recently that if I walk 3 blocks I am pushing it...4 blocks totally does me in!! I found that out last week as I had to go across the border and walk to the PO to avoid line ups...Yikes.
Today my physio suggested for me NOT to partecipate in our annual outing
(to the zoo) ,next Mon., as it entails much too much walking....and I agree.
*sigh*
Thanks for all the tips ladies! I'm going to try the lick and stick method. EZ mount rings a bell in my mind, but heaven only knows where it is hiding in this crafty mess. I'm going to stamp on scrap paper first to see what kind of coverage I get. Thanks again!
Just finished reading page four and would love to join this swap. I am limited on Mo's stamps but I am sure I will find something hiding in my craft room. Put me down for one spot.
thanks, Maryann
Woohoo! Maryann is in the house!!
Also, for stamping w/o ezmount, I put a thin piece of packing material down.....reminds me of styrofoam, but is thin... Like what comes around fruit and such.....
GOOD MORNING!
Love hearing all the hints for stamping with unmounted rubber! Thanks!!
Yay! Maryann's in the house!!
Hope you're all having a terrific Tuesday. I think are "cool" days are over and we're heading toward triple digit temps before the end of the week. We sure enjoyed our "cool" weather this past weekend. May was warmer than normal so not sure what's in store for us in June which is traditionally the hottest month in the Tucson area. I may be wanting to leave earlier than previously planned for WA and cooler temps. We are still waiting to hear if there are plans for a celebration to honor my DH's sister and BIL on their 50th anniversary on June 23rd.
