Still have hummingbirds eating me out of house and home. Have six feeders out and fill them once a day. Now the bees have found them too...so dry, not a single flower for miles aparently.
I need to do something to get more hummingbirds to my house. They are all over the place out when my DD lives in CA.
Don't have any big plans for Memorial Day! We are cooking trash can turkey...it's a fun thing to cook outside. We are teaching the 4-H kids how to do it, so figured maybe we should try it out. You put a turkey on a stake, put foil underneath it, place a clean/new metal trash can over it, then put charcoal all around it. It take about an hour I think the directions said...we'll see.
That sounds interesting. I've never heard of that before. Hope it turns out for you.
Here it is...the footprints fold out and you open the left side of the card.
Very cute card. Reminds me that I need to make one for the new baby dd of my great niece. She had her baby girl last Tuesday. She's so pretty. Saw lots of pictures of her on FB.
Hi ladies. Here's my second card that I finally got around to scanning. I hope to get my 3rd one done by the end of the month. Can't wait to see next month's challenge. TFL
Amy
I've just gotten off the phone with one of our Quackers. they are in serious need of prayers. They are still searching for a 15 month old little boy. Daddy is losing his mind, as you can well imagine.
has there been any news on the baby at all? It's just so sad!

Clint got me a baby pygmy goat in trade for 6 of my baby geese. He is so darn cute! He'd been house broken, but he is outside!
He followed the kitty in today, that was funny!
We spent all day yesterday putting up a fence for him, man is my back killing me! I'm too old for that stuff I guess! LOL

Huge Hugs Sue!
I'll be gone till Saturday night again so I'll have to wait till I get home to see what you send Debby... It would be cool if it showed up Saturday! LOL
Oh goodness Debby! That's HOT!!
Oh speaking of humming Birds.. I have one! It follows me all over out here! Scared the stuffing out of me the first time! He's kinda lazy, he stops and just sits on a branch! LOL
So Debby.. what did you and hubby do all day alone?
I went over to Ex MIL (Judy) did laundry and finished rearranging here craft room. We took over the spare bdrm for her stamp stuff, then she got a really bad cold so over a month later... I am trying to teach her some organizing! All her stamps on one side of the room type of stuff!
Love the cards Debby!Side ways and all!
Darling baby card too!
Please keep those spiders down there! EE GADS! I have no issues with spiders, but a tarantula... oh LORD!
Nut I must make a confession here... I am terrified of butterflies! Moths and June-bugs are worse though!
Deb .....those cards are beautiful! Wow, now that is good info to know why bluebonnets look a little purple. Never thought of it before! Now I'll be looking closer!

You will have to talk to Deb about pygmy goats. They've had them before. My SIL in VA has 2 of them now. They are rather cute!

Ok, this is it. I've been dinking around with this one all night and I still think it needs something. I was trying to be "creative" with the clip by making the image "hang".....I still think I need something at the bottom. Since the image isn't taped down, I can easily add something, going to walk away from it for now.
I do tend to leave things a bit CAS so I can use the card for whatever I need it for...may add a "thinking of you" sentiment - just a quick (ha) card to send to a friend I am thinking of.
grrrrrrr. I'm putting the may schtuff away and look to start again next week with the new goodies
Thanks Suzy these images were fun to work with and streeeetccch myself
Hugs

That sounds cute to have a pygmy goat in your yard. I always wanted one of those minature horses, but couldn't have one in the yard in this neighborhood. Glad you got the fence up. Hope the back is feeling better.
..things to play with while you are at your moms?????
I think that is Sue that is at her mom's. I just came back from my DD's house in CA. Was there for graduations of my DGD's. And I really have enough stuff at my house to play for a really long time.
Ladies, ALL the cards are great!!!! I took a couple days off and went to the Lake to visit my cousin & his family it was so relaxing. Mom is doing great in rehab hopefully I will have her home by the weekend. So far blood test have checked out great so the meds are working. Deb thanks for sending them here that will give me something to work on next week cause I won't be running up & down the road to the rehab facility.
okay girls.....I think I'm caught up!!! I have envelopes ready for Deb and Kelly....winners of previous months. I hadn't forgotten ...it's just been a rat race here!
Now to mention our winner for May......
It's......Maggie!!!

Debby, got your envie today. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with.
Whenever I see an armadillo it reminds me of the movie sweet magnolias (I think that's the name) where the grooms cake was an armadillo - Shirley McClain was classic in that film.
Hugs to everyone - have fun.

oh yes...love Steel Magnolia.....I have so many favorite quotes from it....
This one is great....
Clairee Belcher: The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize.
I think Debby knew someone that did have an armadillo cake at their wedding...just like the one in the movie! I think it was a trend at that point for awhile!
