Thanks so much and have a great day!
Gretchen (girlygirl1681) yours arrived today! Woo Hoo! I think they all are in that are coming in, so I will get the swapped this weekend and hope to get them postal on Monday!
Gretchen, I love, love, loved your DSP on your cards. I'm usually not much of a glittery kind a gal, but this was so purty!!! FYI, you do NOT have to include envelopes in this swap, but yours sure are pretty, thanks.
We're gonna pop in some home movies with the kids, they just LOVE watching them and laugh and laugh at their toddler years. It's such a great way to fill up their "love cups" - great family bonding. We try to remember this, which motivates us to keep pulling out the movie camera - soooo worth it.
Just wanted to say hey to everyone---it has been a crazy week for me and my family (DD has been sick and hospitalized)...but prayerfully it is getting better...Hope yall all have a Happy first week of October!!!
Whew ladies. THEY ARE SWAPPED!!!! This was my very first hosting a swap and I had no idea how complicated it could be swapping them out. PLUS, I'd like to keep track so I can give you a variety each time - different swappers, so everyone will get a taste of everyone's work over the next few months. C.O.M.P.L.I.C.A.T.E.D. keeping track of where I swapped what - shhesh! THEN, this month I did scan everyone's cards, I will try to get them into my album in my gallery by weekend end. (huh??) I DOUBT I will do that again. That added so much time, unless of course I keep up with the scan's as they come in. (which some of you have already sent in NOvember, so I'm already behind - ha ha)
I plan to get them postal on Monday, but check here for the "official" notice
After getting them all swapped, I DID decide to close the swap. I think I would go bonkers if I had any more swappers. There are a few out there that were thinking of joining in a few months, but I know who they are, and they will be welcome.
There you have it - Sat night update. I think I'll go pour a glass of wine!
Hugs

Oh NOOOO Michele, I'm sorry to hear about DD. Please let us know how she is doing. I am a woman of prayer, so I will pray for you guys. Standing by you (sort of....miles apart standing by you) my new friend.
Big extra hugs to you.
Amy
I was at a crop on Saturday and made my November cards for the swap. I decided on Masculine Birthday but now I am second guessing myself. I think the cards are super cute...but they are maybe more "boy" birthday than "man" birthday. IDK...what to do, what to do??? And I was shocked at myself that I didn't have a Sympathy stamp...how have I managed that?
They are uploaded!! That process was pretty painless. Because it's Sunday and I'm not a "member" or whatever they call it, the uploads will not be approved until tomorrow. But check back and oooh and ahhh at all YOUR creations. Click on "my gallery" in my signature, and you should see our album I've created for our swap.
I've got all the envelopes processed and headed to the Post Office tomorrow!!! Not bad for our first swap - postal on the 3rd of the month??? Great job ladies getting them all in in a timely manner. Life is bound to get a bit crazy around here very soon. My sons' school has a week long fall break and my mom is visiting. You just know I will not even see my scrap area that whole week. But that doesn't mean I won't be having fun....tee hee.
Don't forget to stop in here if you have any problems getting your swaps back.

What a fun family getaway Amy! TFS
And, great job on creating the album with the swap cards. Love seeing all the different cards; will have to come back later this evening and leave comments
Happy Snowy Saturday ladies. Yes, it is SNOWING here in Colorado Springs. My mom is visiting from WI, so we are enjoying our first fire in the fireplace with our books - a very rare treat indeed. Mom's not too pleased about the snow....but we are warm and cozy. It's suppose to be 70 degrees on Monday - welcome to Colorado!!!
So, I want to know, do any of do anything "special" for your trick or treaters? I'm always looking for cute ideas. I'll post my 2011 project. (DS is helping me with them)
Amy - shame on you! You said the "S" word! That's a bad word in my book....I'm so not looking forward to snow.
Now as for trick-or-treaters....we don't get any. Yeah, that's right. We have it in our neighborhood - but kids are too lazy to walk down our driveway to get the candy! Can you believe it!!?? It's not like we have a mile long drive either. For about 5 years we bought tons of candy and would wind up eating it ourselves. So for the last couple years we just don't even get it anymore. Sad huh?
I received my cards last week (I've been MIA from my computer trying to organize my craft space so DH can have some office space). They are lovely...nice work everyone!
@ Amy: Sorry I forgot the stamps. I will send some extra with my cards this month!
No problem Gretchen. I know it takes a bit to get into the groove.
My November card is posted in my gallery (link in my signature).
For the extra challenge, here's what I did. I used to do digital scrapbooking, so my computer is FULLLLLLLL of digital DSP. So I did use a "kit" (as they are called in the digital scrapbook world) that is well over three years old - had to go to my old external hard drive for this one - ha ha!!! The "paper" I used is from IOD. Soooo pretty. FOrtunately, I have a great printer, so it works well for this use. The scan of my card did NOT pick up the purty champagne mist I have sprayed all over the card, and the frost white "shimmer" I put on the main image. This card is very pretty IRL. You'll just have to trust me on this one Unless, of course you get one of my swaps this month. There you have it, I'm one of the first ones done - woo hoo!
Ladies, I'm thrilled you're loving your cards. I thought you'd be pleased. Everyone did such a great job. I'm looking forward to happy mail in the coming week(s) - the 25th is coming up don't cha know?!
Hugs

Finished my masculine BD cards for November swap; I used some "old" DSP but it's only several months old, so doesn't "count" as the challenge. For some reason masculine cards are a challenge for me, so I feel good about creating masculine for the swap. I'll post when postal (probably this Friday).
Hi Priority Mail ladies. I just wanted to let you who do the priority mail route, you do NOT have to send in the extra postage (two $.44 stamps) - seems silly since your rate is a flat rate. But if you could get the $4.95 stamp that would be great (rather my sticking 10 $.44 stamps on the envelope) (you know who you are - tee hee) I will have the return envelopes for you, if you think of it, include a address label for me (one less step for me)
Now that I've got my Nov swap cards done, I'm on easy street for a few weeks.

Sorry Amy! My mailings, for now, will have the 44 cent + stamps that add up to the return postage. My town has a very small PO and they just recently ran out of priority stamps!! So, that's what I had to buy...a roll of 44 cent stamps to use for my return on swaps.
