Please swap out both sets this month if possible. I'm sorry I didn't ask for that clarification earlier. Is it ok from this point forward to send more than 1 set? The ideas just start flowing and I can't pick 1 design. I can just sent 1 set each month if that's the intention of the swap.

I would like to participate in this swap but I don't know that I can get my cards together and ready to send out by Sept 25th. Is it possible to join the swap for the Nov 1 deadline?
Thanks, Kelli

This was fun, my mom was here from New York and ended up taking the extra cards I made for me...oh well. I love selling CTMH, but I also use anything that rocks my boat, so sometimes you may see more than one company on my card...

Thanks,

Denise

Yes it is!!! Since this is my first time hostessing a swap, I'm not sure what to expect. I'm a pretty organized person, so I don't think it will be too crazy on me. I am going to try to swap out in the same category each ladies contributed in, but realize I probably won't be able to do that 100%. So it will be like three mini swaps. My GOAL is to try to keep track of who I swapped with who (whom??) and so I mix it up each month, but THAT could get crazy, we'll see. So after my first month, I'll have a better idea if I need to "close" the group. I really don't want to, because I'd like to have some flexibility for those who need to drop out, if even for a month, or want to join later. If it becomes an administrative nightmare for me, I'll adjust accordingly, but all THAT TO SAY, I'm excited about so many as well. If I "close" it at 24, in theory we'd all get a card from everyone in four months? (my math may be off, and it hurts my head to really think about it too hard) Ha ha.
Big Thursday Hugs.

Great Denise. Most of my stash is SU, but what I LOVE about this swap (and others like it) I can use up my other stuff, pre-SU. Plus, I LOVE to see other stuff, not good for the pocketbook, but love it. Years ago I started traditional scrapbooking (CM) and just really hated the "exclusivity" of it all. I ventured over into Digital Scrapbooking, which I love for so many reasons. Then I had some girlfriends that talked me into joining a stamp club, which I LOVED the social aspect - but started me on a new obsession (SU). Again, I hate to just stick with one vendor, I feel so stifled creatively, plus I love love love to peruse through our Archivers, or local scrapbook store - just to touch all the papers etc. yummy! Just last night my hubby and I were talking and he asked me if really, didn't I have enough stuff to stamp with, do I need to buy more? Ha ha, I came back with his obsession with flashlights!!!! no, you can never have enough purty crafting stuff. Am I right ladies???

Hugs

Amy-- It is crazy how we can never have enough stamping stuff! I bet I could never buy another piece of paper/cardstock and no more rubber stamps, and still make a different card everyday for the next 10 years-- But, I won't! I am eagerly awaiting the newest PTI stuff to be released!

I have a very random Question for you ladies, what type of adhesive do you use? How about Glue Dots? Why do you like what you use? I just find the tombow just does not keep the cards together adequately, but I like the price Just wondered what you use? I also find the glue dots I use that come in a roll (even SU's) they get all caught inside the box and I just want to scream! Any suggestions/solutions?
Thanks
Amy

Candra, that would be great. Should I put you down for two, or is Bethanie a member of scs? Can she sign up on the thread? lt's no problem for you guys to send them in together, and I will send them back to you together as well. May I ask, how old is Bethanie? (is she an adult?)
THanks Candra. Looking forward to your swaps.

Thanks Vickie. I did recently get one of those pink guns. I do like it, just getting used to grabbing for it rather than my easy tombow snail. I even made a "stand" for mine, then I just ended up using a small metal bucket to rest it in. I put my secret stash of candy in the bottom of the bucket - so far the kids haven't found my stash they always do!!! I need to put some rocks in the bottom as well to weigh it down. I definitely like the availability of the gun in a standing position. Do you use the all purpose tape, or do you get the archival safe? Do you find a difference in stickiness? I don't really care about archival safe - I figure the recipients of my cards aren't going to be saving them for hundreds of years, right? The general purpose is so much cheaper.
My thoughts on the subject...
Hugs

I use the general purpose adhesive; much more economical and the stickiness is the same.

Amy,
I would rather have an assoetment of the catagories than just the one that I submit...I don't know if others feel that way or not...either way will be fine with me, I just really appreciate all that you are doing...You are the best!

Thanks,

Thanks Sharon for the feedback. I'll make a note of it on this spreadsheet I've got going next to your name. I'm happy to accommodate when I can - but ya just gotta ask, thanks for asking.

Default about adhesives

For single layers of card stock, I like using my mono adhesive and just put extra little runs of tape to get it to stick. You can get a great price on boxes of 6 (i just type it into ebay, but I think the company is penwa). If it's a heavy layer then nothing beats sticky strip in my opinion. Sticky strip is also great for ribbon. I've also used good-old fashioned rubber cement.

May I play please??? I would like 1 spot for the first few months. Would I be able to add another spot later??

I would not mind having an assortment of cards either...

I use scotch's double sided tape...

Thank you for this I think this will be a fun swap...

Waiving hello to Michele! It's been a long time since we've been in the same swap!

Amy, I don't mind an assortment either; but either way is okay; however it works out.

Michele, thanks for joining us. By all means if you want to add a second spot, please do so, just let me know and i'll add you to another spot. I'll also make note next to your name that you'd like an assortment, rather than just what you contributed to. Happy to accomodate.

OK ladies, maybe I just need to throw this out there. It seems that many of you would rather an assortment when I swap them out. Let me just formally ask any one else if you would like an assortment or stay within your category? I've already noted those in previous posts. Thanks ladies.
I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday. I hope to get the boys and puppy out to do a little hiking here in our back yard (colorado springs) the weather has been great, and DH is busy working on set building for our church's production of Annie, so I probably WON'T get my swaps finished this weekend - they are started, just not done.
I'll check back in in a couple of hours.
Hugs
Amy

An assortment works for me if that makes it easier for you.... either way!

I use tombow on my cards, then a glue dot on the back for embellishments (ex.: if I have taped a piece of ribbon around the edges, or on the back where the brad prongs stick thru). I take the roll of dots out of the box and leave it laying on my desk...no problem sticking.
