Donelda- Your cards are awesome !! And have fun with your new stamping stuff
Pat- I´m with you . I like the 6x6 paper pads and buy them mostly. They are easier to store , cheaper and you have a beautiful selection. If there is a paper what I really like, I buy the single sheets in 12x12.
I have this policy when buying when buying "PADS of DP"...I flip through it and if I am "ga-ga" about a lot of the styles of paper--that warrant the price of the pad....I buy it! haha Capice? Did that make sense? Like; if I only like 2 styles in the pad--I won't buy the pad of paper...but if I go nuts over 8-10 different style sheets in the pad..then it's worth it for me to buy it. I always buy (3) sheets of the same pattern of DP...to make multiples of the same style! THREE is a big number with me...I have 3 kids, I have 3 brothers, I love 3 day weekends!!! I have no idea why I am saying this! hahahahaha

However, "4" is one of my favorite numbers...how silly is that? I use the number "92" a lot too...Sentence: "There were like 92 cars lined up in the Dunkies drive thru---so I skipped out of there and went to another Dunkies!"

Finally got my card posted to my gallery. I had to go back and add it to SSMISFEB keyword so hopefully it will show up on the gallery. Here is my first attempt at a Magnolia image. Thanks again Linda for providing these images. I hate to admit that it took me all 3 images before I was somewhat happy with the end result.
I am thrilled to be in the same group as Jacque! Wow, aren't her cards gorgeous!! I am a big Jacque fan. Love her blog.
I went to a shoebox swap this afternoon and had a lot of fun. I met a lady named Kristen and guess what she does? She is an artist for Paper Pretties and The Pixie Cottage. Lately she has been designing backgrounds for Magnolias. She had this cupcake design with her for what she brought for us to make and had a Tilda with cupcake standing in front of it. All were just stamped in pink because not near enough time to color it all. If the rest of her designs are like the one I saw, I want them all. lol!
Tracie and Donelda, loved your cards. You both did great jobs. I left you some love.

I am jealous that (some-alotta) you have local swaps to go to. My LSS has classes in various themes and the few that I have gone to aren't that 'warm and fuzzy'...Plus her classroom set up is lousy-shakey tables, bad lighting and really not set up to move around to get to the 'hardware' (cricut, cuddle, die cuts, etc)...so I don't bother--figure my basement is set up so much nicer and with all the elbow room I need to spread out! Not one of my local friends is into any type of crafting!!! I shared a booth @ a craft fair with some really nice girls who paint faces...that is the closest I have come to any "buddy system" and even then, I sold out my stash and there were times they weren't painting faces! {It was a very expensive weekend craft fair that lasted 2 full days outside...thank God the weather held up for us-both nice cool sunny days!}
Well, today is the start of our Feb vacation--it's fluffy-ing outside--doesn't even qualify for snow--kinda like the angels broke open a few feather pillows up in heaven!!! I plan to work on swaps all day! Have a good one!

Debra, what an adorable birthday card from Imke! Sooo cute!
Going to go check out the February cards and comment on those I've not yet viewed/commented.
Surgery is over...have 2, 2 inch incisions (ouch!); just took the compression bandages off. Got through the night with no pain meds, but "loaded" up on meds once the surgery was done yesterday! So, I slept from the time we got home yesterday around noon until 8:30 this morning! Will get result in about a week.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Thinking of you Vickie! Make sure you take the pain meds if you need them. Fingers crossed that the results are good. Keep us posted when you can.
Big Hugs~Kathy
I have a really effective test I use before I buy a pack of dsp. I ask myself "Do I have this already?" If the answer is no I feel compelled to buy it. If the answer is yes, then I ask, do I need a second pack, so I can use one and hoard the second?
My dsp is pretty scary right now, I could probably wall paper our house with it, I don't know why I can not resist new paper packs? I really should be more selective before buying it!
Susanne, I am with you on no friends that craft. Two years ago this lady in Broken Arrow, OK had this swap and I saw it in the area swap section on SCS. I have one friend that got me into stamping so I called her and she said she would go with me. It was about 60 miles away. We do not either one have any friends in our area that stamps, and my friend doesn't do it too often anymore so it is just me. We don't even have a local stamp store in our city. All we have is Hobby Lobby. One store, so boring.
Anyway this lady sent me an email in Jan. that she was doing it again so we drove there and had a great time, even if she only has it every two years. I am so jealous of the ladies that have local stamp stores and fun things going on in them. When I go to Calif. or Oregon I love every minute of it because there are all kinds of scrapbook stores and stamp stores and Michaels and Joanns and all those fun places. I guess tho I should be happy that I at least have a HL. Anytime I travel I am looking for crafty stores. My DS even found one for Debra and I and it was a pretty good store.
Hope everyone has a great day. I am going to work on my blog. I can't figure out how to fix it. May have to try a new design or template.

Thanks so much for the positive thoughts on my card. It was lots of fun to do. I just need practice. I was in a stamped image swap a while back and have several I can practice on.
Had to go to doctor today. Found out I had shingles. Yikes! So I got medicine and hope it helps. So I am taking it easy. Probably all the stress of cleaning/organizing all my craft supplies. LOL!
Hey Tracie,
I had shingles a little over a year ago. Mine started with really bad pain in my jaw. I went to the dentist and he couldn't find anything wrong...then a day or two later I got what I thought was poisen ivy on my forehead and went to the convenient care since it was Friday afternoon when I decided to go. Off it went from there!! I did get a vacine for shingles last month...the doctor said I had to wait a year after I had them to get it but I sure don't want them again...I thought only OLD people got shingles heheheehe
Hey ... did you guys see, Jacque is "joining" our group
Waiting Tilda
Oh Joanna! ROTFLMAO! I thought I missed a post so I went back looking to find where Jacque signed up! ah ha ha! Remember when she was in our swaps? That was before she got famous! LOL Her work is always awesome. Her kits were great too.
I have been so bad I still haven't gone in and commented on the other cards yet. I've been out of town for two days. I hope to get this done today. I like to really examine everyones cards for ideas. So it takes me awhile. I was trying to wait until they were all loaded.
Have a great Tuesday!

Ladies, Denise's DGD, my GDGD, Lexie took one of her images and wanted to make a card too. I told Denise to let her and to post it so we could all see it. She is 14 and been making cards for several years. Hope you all don't mind. I thought it was cool that she wanted to have her card with all of ours.

What a great thing Linda! Yes, tell Denise to post it and we'll leave her some love, we've heard all about crafty Lexie! Can't wait to see it.
Whew, I got mine done, lol, always bringing up the rear here. I've got it on my blog, I'll upload it here later, need to get dinner for everyone! Fun image you chose Linda! And I think you've got me hooked on cryogen, I had a bunch I wasn't using, now I've pulled it out again! Can't wait to see next month's image! This is so much fun.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys. So far it's been fantastic! Lena: I DO remember when Jacque swapped with us. The thing that always amazes me about her is that she has only been stamping for a few years. Talk about having astounding talent! She has something like 3500 followers on her blog!
Tracie: OMgosh ... Shingles. That is a big ol' bummer. I'm kinda dreading getting that one. I remember how much Chicken Pox itched. I really don't want to go through that again.
Kathy: If I asked myself, "Do I need this?" every time I wanted to buy paper, the answer would always be NO. So, that's why I don't ask myself! And yes, I could probably paper a bathroom (maybe even a bedroom) with all my DP.
I'm almost ready to post my card. I'm waiting for the Crystal Effects to dry and then I'll take a picture. I deliberately tried to stay away from flowers.

Tracie, just leave those craft supplies where they are at; I knew cleaning/organizing could be hazardous to our health! LOL I do hope the meds take care of it for you and you don't ever have to deal with shingles again. Take care.
Lexie is babysitting my 3 DGS's this week while they are out for winter break. I know she is working on her card because she came down and took some dew drops the other day. She is so excited. She has alot of supplies, thanks alot to Mom and myself, but she does buy alot for herself too. But her Nana does give her alot of stuff and lets her use whatever she needs. Thanks ladies for not minding that I post her card. I do have some of her cards posted on my blog!
