Imke---I just read about the Autobahn pile up!!! Wow huh? Is that anywhere near you? The news blurb said it was foggy but that was not the reason for the 97 car pile-up!

Oh what a fun day ON SALE at my LSS...Next week if you buy (full price items) they give you 1/2 the price back in a coupon to use in January!!! Do I hear WIN-WIN-FUN-FUN! I just hope they have some new stuff in January--but there are always dies I can purchase at the full price (those never seem to go on sale)...

Happy Saturday night roomies! Running across the hall to see what is going on there...

I can't wait to see what you send for next month's image Kathy!!

I am trying to work on a few challenges but my creative mojo is in a bit of a slump tonight. DH and I went out for supper and I had a glass of beer. What I have discovered is that when I drink beer, I get tired, and when I am tired I am limited in my creativity. Oh well, I can be creative tomorrow

Susanne- it is not directly in my area. Currently accumulate such accidents, because we have quite a lot of fog. I'm always happy when we have to drive on the "autobahn" and we arrive home healthy. You know we can go pretty quickly and my husband does that too. But there are so many insecure, slow and inattentive drivers on the road, who makes it really dangerous. Sometimes I think they do not know how to drive on the "autobahn".

Donelda- I made this week not one card. We worked a lot in the garden and I had other appointments so I had no time.

Have a great Sunday !

When we lived in northern California, I always hated the fog because people still drove like maniacs on the causeway. I can imagine the autobahn would be even more dangerous, but I have always heard that Germans are better speed drivers.

Donelda -- I'm with you; when I'm tired, my creativity is the first thing to go. Hope you are feeling more rested soon!

Wiggy...I think we are ALL awaiting your PTI order--I cannot believe how long it takes to get through your postal service up there in the boondocks!!! You will have to take a photo of it upon arrival! <Visual: hardy muscle man postal guy with a box on his shoulder and his arms bulging with tension ...sweat on his brow as he walks up the drive way to Wiggy's front door!!!)

Happy Monday !

Jessica- If it allows the traffic, my husband drives fast. Mostly 100- 111 miles. That's OK, you just need to think with the other drivers. As already mentioned, some people simply do not belong on the "autobahn".

Susanne- Iīve placed my PTI order last Tuesday 11/15 and i received a mail that it will be shipped today. Hello ? I think that is a long time. Then again, it takes 5-8 days until it gets here. And for an insured package where i have paid 36 USD !?!?!

Hello Ladies, I know it has been a while since I have been on here, we are in Eureka just for an overnight stay. We are grabbing our mail and checking on our house. I guess DH made the decision that when our lease is up in Feb that we will be moving back to Redding. We really need to be there to help take care of his parents. I don't expect his dad to last much past the 1st of the year, although a person really doesn't know when their time is up. I know that is sad, but he has had a long and healthy life and would not want to linger in the kind of way he is. His parents celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on the 27th of Oct. His mom has Alzheimer's and is very difficult sometimes.

I want to ask if you guys could mail my images to my inlaws until I do a change of address later, it is Denise Cagle c/o Jack Cagle 16166 Cagle Lane Redding, CA 96001. I worry that now that we are in the rainy season on the coast that it will get wet in the mailbox. We don't want to do a change in address until our lease is up. Thanks in advance.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Denise! Miss you.

Yeah, I went to see Breaking Dawn yesterday. Ohhhhhhhh me! I could watch it over and over hope it comes out soon on DVD.

Hope everyone has a great week. I need to be stamping but just can't get in the mood! Need to get motivated here!

Going to SIL's for Thanksgiving Dinner. We were going to have it here at our house but my nephew had to have emergency surgery and I live an hour away so we decided to go there. I'll start cooking on Wednesday. If I don't get back on before Thanksgiving I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends.

Susanne: where have you been not to have heard about Breaking Dawn?!! It's the latest installment in the Twilight (teen vampire movie) series! I've gone with my niece for the last two movies but will have to see it by myself this time since I doubt she will wait to see it with me. I'm sure that she's already gone by now.

I want to see Arthur Christmas. Looks cute.

Lena, thanks for the Breaking Dawn review; I cannot wait to see it! My Texas daughter saw it and loved it too! Well, Joanna, we'll have to go see it together!! I will have to go by myself too. DH has no interest in seeing it, and all my daughters are too far away to see it with me, and my, *gasp*, friends, are not into it either!!!

Oh no Denise; I sent the Wild West images to the Hillsdale address in Eureka you had posted a while back. Let me know if/when you get them. If you don't receive them by end of this week, I'll stamp again and mail to the address you listed in post #2009!

Hi there,

Susanne- You are definetely not the only one who does not understand all this hype about the Twillight and Breaking Dawn story. I have not seen one movie and I do not feel that I have missed something. LOL

Joanna- Have fun to watch the movie !! For young people it is certainly hard to wait. I know that many are eagerly awaiting this film.

Vickie- Canīt wait to see your card !!

Have a great day !!

Good morning!

I haven't tried the Twilight books or movies yet. I may wait until all the movies are finished because I tend to zoom through series once I am hooked. Authors that wait years and years between books are agonizing!

Has anyone else read the George R. R. Martin Ice And Fire series? He waits about five years between books! HBO started the movie series, but we don't subscribe -- sigh.

I created my card last night using the image Tracie sent to us. Just need to take a picture of it when there is better lighting today. It is very overcast right now; hopefully some sun will shine later.

Imke--my style is not to run out and try new things the minute they hit the shelves--movie theaters..etc. Example: The Kindle--only NOW I want the Kindle Fire--if I had run out and bought the first issue of this--I would be disappointed--plus, everything gets improved and the price drops...so..that is how I am with general stuff....Stamping supplies--that's a different story!!! hahaha

Raining here today--winds tonight--no school--kids n Muddy still sleeping--baking later...easy day!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I just uploaded my November card to the gallery. It's a very simple, simple card; I hardly trimmed the stamped image panel (only slightly) and just plopped it on the cardbase after coloring it with a combination of pearlescent chalks and Copic markers. The Prima lace flower kinda takes over the image, but it reminded me of a snowflake! LOL

Vickie- I like the "simple" style of your card. Great coloring !

Susanne- I also often buy later when it has become cheaper. Unless it is a absolutely MUST HAVE. I'm very patient and often it can wait.

Jessica: Yep, I read the Fire and Ice series. My friend sent the first one to me last Christmas and I ripped through them all ... until I discovered that HE WASN'T FINISHED WITH THE NEXT ONE! What?!! We don't have HBO either. Sad.

I would love to see movies with you all. Would we be a chatty bunch or what?!! I gotta admit that I am on team Jacob! That Taylor Lautner is a cutie.

Have a great holiday everyone!

Tracie--my favorite part of Thanksgiving is left over turkey...and my SIL roasted a 24LB turkey and it barely made it through dinner!!! My Mom used to make a turkey PLUS an extra white meat breast to have enough white meat to get us through dinner!!!

Oh, I have to make my own turkey now--no left-overs here! Arrrgh!

It's all about the left overs! Happy Day everyone....onward to Christmas now!

I've heard that a lot of people are having seizures when watching Breaking Dawn becuase of the flashing lights .. the flashing of imagary. I have seen the other movies and will watch this one too when it comes out on DVD. I have read all the books, as I do with many teen series, because when you are working with kids and teenages you need to know what they are reading so you can have meaningful discussions with them about such stuff (or at least that is the "professional line" I use, truth is Edward makes me hot -- in the books, not so much in the movies!! LOL!!).

I just saw the Arthur's Christmas ad and it does look cute!!

I am in the middle of reading this right now! It is soooo not my type of book but I am totally hooked!! I can't put it down!! It is sooooo "grusome and crude" at so many places because of the time in which the story is set". But the writing is amazing!! We don't get HBO either ... I am very interested to see what the series is like now that I've read some of the books...so I agree..... sigh!!!!

This series is definitely addictive; you just have to remember not to get too attached to a specific character!

The series looks like it is really well done (sort of like the Harry Potter series), bit I am like you -- we will wait for the DVDs .

Isn't THAT the truth!!! I swear he kills off people like they are going out of style. And yes, Wiggy, incredibly gruesome. I was a little nauseated at the description of one of the deaths. Bleah.

I hear you, Joanna! I read the series because the character development and changes fascinate me -- you can despise a character is the first few books, but start empathizing with them later on. The violence is something for me to skim over.

Kind of like Braveheart; I call that movie '101 Ways to Kill a Scotsman'. I know it was a brutal time, but I have enough nightmares without paying for more, thank you very much!!

Hey I just started the second book in the series and I am totally hooked. My friend has HBO and she was telling me how much she and her husband liked it even though is was not something they usually watched. So I got the first book and loved it, I agree Wiggy I am not into sci-fy but its really good. Have a hard time with some of the names...but the characters are all interesting even the ones you don't like. I went on the internet and watched clips of the movie so that really helped me keep the names straight.

Names are tough for me, too -- I usually end up making my own pronunciations !

It wasn't until I watched the first HP that I knew how 'Hermione' was supposed to sound!
