Meanwhile, I'm set to take another stab at THIS month's image! I'm hoping it will go better. I don't know why I'm having soooo much trouble, it's REALLY cute.
Hi everyone! Wow, we had severe storms all day and got lots of rain. My computer was off more than on.
I have my image colored just have not had time to put a card together. My DGS came and helped me weed all my flower beds yesterday and is coming back tomorrow if the weather holds to help me clean out a small storage building so we can get rid of it and move the new larger one where this old one is. I have a lot to clean out and go thru, all my Mother's things that none of us knew what to do with are in it, a lot needs thrown away but hate to but it is stuff no one can use and a lot of bigger beads than I use so will donate them to a nursing home. It will be a job for sure.
I have to finish a college graduation card because we are going to Wichita, KS on sat and have to be there by 9:30AM for a DGD's college graduation. She wants us there and it is a 3 1/2 hr dr and we don't know for sure where to go once we get to Wichita so will have to leave before 6:00AM. She is now a 2nd grade teacher, (Jevin's mother) and praying she can get a job.

Mom tell Megan congrats! I didn't even think to make her a card. I think I am going to give Lexie her camera early, like this week. April and Summer will be here next week and I want her to be able to play with it. It will be a month early, but its ok. I think she will really like it. She keeps asking me what we got her, told her you put money towards her gift too.

Awww, Patti's sweet card is sitting all alone in the May image gallery. I plan to create a card for the gallery this weekend. Just love that image Denise.
My image is colored, just need to put the card together. I have an idea of what I want to do. I have my DP already picked out too, so just need to get to it.
Sus, I sure hope your image get to you soon. We have always said that living on the coast is like living behind the redwood curtain, its a joke because our mail is always screwed up. Mom can mail my grandkids or kids all cards at the same time together and they will come up to 2 weeks apart and at least 1 will not get here. She really gets frustrated, and so do I.
My card is all done and even photographed. I just haven't had a chance to post it. I guess I'll go and do that now and check out Patti's card. I went a bit crazy with the glitter on mine LOL !!!!

Linda, looks like it's a big blogger issue. I saw on Facebook that Faith (from Designed2Delight will leave the link open till 1pm est today, since blogger is down. Or if you upload your card here I think you could link it that way to her blog, since her's is through Wordpress not Blogger I believe.
Wiggy can't wait to see your card, still haven't peeked at Patti's either. I wanted to get an idea for mine before I looked at everyone elses.
My card if finished. All I need to do is photograph it and download it. Hopefully today since I am off work but I am going to a quilt show today so I will see what I get done.
Wow, so much for my plan to post my SSMIS image today ... I hope Blogger gets their deal fixed. After three runs at at (thanks Denise for all the images!) I finally made one that I like.
<Sigh> Since I can't do the computer, I suppose that I'll have to clean. bleah.
Kathy, not sure I know how to do that either. I'm waiting on them to fix it. They say it is still down and she is leaving it open longer. Thanks for trying to help me. I am so computer challenged.

I am almost done with my card already--while doing the Photoshop download today, I was just sitting here and thought..heck--COLOR..do something!!! <As I impatiently glugged diet coke!!!> Can't wait until Imke comes back and opens up the "Pretty Image Room for MAY"!!!

Working the Michaels crop/punch around the page event tomorrow--guess what, the manager inadvertently signed up a B-day party at the SAME TIME! So, needless to say, he thought the crop was OVER at 1 and moved the party to 3 and thats when my shift starts...So, I am either going to be in the parking lot or out in the middle of the store running a crop and demo..and make n take! Should be interesting to say the least!
QueenieJo--forgot to mention this 'across the hall', but not ALL Michaels were affected by the key pad code syndrome...our store was not...they loved saying it was the Massachusetts store that was...however, I have a sneaking suspicion that like the TJMax thing that happened...as time will tell--so watch your records or change your secret code? God knows if anyone tries to hack our money...they will be mightally disappointed!

Sus that sparkly paper is cryogen, Mom got me started using it. Isn't it so pretty! Glad you finally recieved your images, I was begining to worry.
NOTE: When duplicating the cupcake (via scan/on cardstock/in Word) I had to hide her lil' hand with the cut out daisies!!! And, I had to hide the corner from the very old Fiskars punch that didn't jive with the corners!!! So good thing I had some extra "pupcakes" around to cover up my boo-boo's! (My kids used to call cupcakes...PUPCAKES!)
PS. Thank you Patti for the adorable "Seize the Cupcakes" stamp! Mwaaah!

I love all of your cards. I have mine done but can't put it on my blog for a few days cause I already have some things scheduled.
I went to my DGD's college graduation today. It is a Catholic college that is a very tough school. She graduated Summa cumLaude with two different honor awards for two different honor societies. I am just so proud of her. It was a long drive to Wichita, KS, a little over 3 hrs for me but worth it.

Imke, glad to see you're home safely. Get some rest, then get back on here to tell us everything about your trip!!
Been looking at all the purty cards with this month's image and leaving some love. Sus, you need to get your card in the gallery...it's too cute (love all the extra pupcakes!!)...that way, we can leave you some love, too! (yep, you can get it in the May gallery even before Imke makes the link...just gotta put that SSMISMAY in the keywords section and it'll make the gallery even before the link is there!)
I had last night off in the middle of a buncha twelve hour shifts, so I am awake and alive today, only to head back to Babyland tonight. We had a week or so of "normal" busy-ness, now we are jammin' again! I was in charge Friday night, and had to make room in our 49 bed unit because we had no room for any new deliveries. If I may make a shameless plug here, please support March of Dimes. They really do a lot to try to prevent premature deliveries (there is still no known cause for most preemie births), and many preemie babies end up with developmental delays and other problems, no matter how hard we NICU nurses and docs work. Okay, thanks for letting me speak up, I'll get off my soapbox now...

Imke--welcome home! I bet you are exhausted! We missed you and like Patti said...hurry up and get caught up on your sleep and time-table because we want to hear all about your trip...we expect to see a nice 3-4 page essay oh..lets say 3000 words? hahaha (Just kiddin') Glad yur back girl!
I will never forget when my sister from England was here and her first day--she was determined to stay on OUR time. So about 1/2 way through the day, I took her grocery shopping to load up her fridge at the beach condo they rented. Here she was in the produce department; picking up avacado's and bringing them up to her face to SEE them better--when I asked if I could help her--or if she needed 'to hold onto the basket' while I did all her shopping for her...she was so silly tired--she was "sleep-walking" and totally overwhelmed with the size and contents in our grocery store! This was just 5 minutes into the shopping--she kept telling me how she had to get REAL Pepsi and REAL this and that...her significant other Dave was just as delirious! Like two exhausted clowns attempting to grocery shop! At one point I snapped my fingers and said..."Jan, <snap-snap> do you want me to run across the store and get something for you?" She said they were just going to take their time-come back and pick them up in an hour!!!

I'll go ahead and post mine in the gallery today. It is such a cute image. I love all of Susanne's pupcakes. All the cards are fabulous.
I am skipping church because I overslept and just couldn't get out of bed. 6 hours in a truck with it full plus the 3 hr graduation and then home for 2 hr and back to Caney for her party and home at 10 last night made a full day for me. I'm being lazy all day. DH will have to go to Sonic for lunch and maybe I'll cook tonight. I'm still sleepwalking I think. lol!! I can only imagine how Imke feels.

Sounds like a plan Linda...take it easy today!! Thats pretty much what I did yesterday...stayed late at the crop Friday night and didn't do much yesterday...wore my pj's all day. Felt so much better today I got ready early and headed over to Menards and got my flowers for this year. Too wet to plant today but glad to get that taken care of...I still have two days off work so maybe I can get them planted this week.

Linda-you were right. San Francisco is wonderful. We had great weather. It was very warm and no fog. But now take some time and rest a bit. Sounds like you had a busy weekend.
Pat- What have you bought for planting ? Only flowers or also some vegetables ? I have a cucumber plant and there is already a cucumber on it. I love that !!
Susanne- Scare me from the casino !! I do not like. No windows, darkness, this beeping everywhere, perfumed air. Terrible. AND it is really frightening how many people gamble away their money. One has lost in less than two minutes $ 600 at roulette. How crazy it that ???

I totally agree with you Imke--I always like SOMETHING FOR MY $$...but there are people that get such a thrill with gambling that it's like a drug to them! There is this lil' ol' lady that buys a stack of lottery scratch tickets where I buy my coffee in the am. She sits and scratches the silver inked cover off of the boxes/symbols (with a coin) all the lil' shavings all over her table, lap...and has this look in her eye that is almost "frenzied" to see if she WON anything! She takes the winning tickets back to the counter then...BUY'S MORE TICKETS--THIS...is where I would draw the line--take your winnings and GOOOOOOOOOO! hahaha But, I guess, if you have the extra cash, and this is controllable...well have fun!
The casino's decor is set up like this so you get the vibes (beeping, lights, sound of slot machines etc)...it takes over your senses. The strong smell of cologne/perfume could be because people sit there too long and have to cover up their "BO" hahahahhaha ? Either that or they are just dolled-up for the festivities! Drinks used to be free - not sure if they are any longer--or a very low minimum cost so you STAY and PLAY!
Watch the movie; "Casino" with Robert DiNero...or "Good Fellah's" with Robert DiNero...both excellent movies (some blood shed) but it's all about this sort of thing...

Suzanne and Joanna, glad you received your images .... Don't worry, be happy (just like the song ... hahaha ... it will be stuck in your head now all night) and just have fun with it!!!!
Casinos .... set a limit and stay within it ... my motto... and when I do that I have lots of fun there! My DH is SOOOO lucky!! He wins thousands of dollars after spending only a 40 or 60 bucks!! If you want good casino movies you should check out Bringing Down the House .. based on a true story! Very interesting!!
Well, I hope I don't scare the rest of you away with my little 'challenge' that I sent with my June image. Please, just have fun with it all!!

Imke I got only geraniums...I always plant red ones every year in hanging pots and in pots to put on my patio and front porch. Kind of a garden in pots...this year I found "combo packs". They are flats with nine sections and each has either geraniums or a tall spiky thing(I don't know the name of it) and ivy. All three of the plants I like to plant together in a big clay pot. Almost like cheating!!
I did get quite a bit finished this afternoon but will need to replace a pot that cracked over the winter. Hope to do that tomorrow and then it is back to work for me on Wednesday. I have planned another week off in June so that will help get me back to my routine at work. Guess you will be heading back to work soon too.
Donelda---it's like you stood outside your house UP in Canada and tossed our envies out into the northern winds....they all trickled down to our mailboxes TODAY! hahaha
Oh, I think I can handle your image -I have just the idea planted in my head! The hard part is to wait until JUNE!! I tell ya, when I get a homework assignment it eats at me to get it done....I'll be good and wait!
