Is Adirondack Pitch Black also Copic friendly? I thought I've used that before when filling Wish-RAKs. I knew Memento was, too....just wondering? I'm just now getting into Copics, so this is new territory for me.
I think that one is good too Patti. Here is the list I copied from Wish Rak, that they have tested and ok'd (there certainly probably are more, these are just ones they suggested) Memento Tuxedo Black, Adirondack Pitch Black, Brilliance Graphite Black ((heat set)). I've never tried Adirondack, I think I might have it somewhere though, I'll have to try it.
I got my images today!!! Thanks Linda!!
After the first time I used Memento I was sold!! I even use Memento colored inks when I need them but Tuxedo Black is what I use to stamp images!!
What sort of images do we want to share? Does anybody have preferences and how many are we going to send participants? I usually like at least three. One for the mess up that invariably happens and then two others (in case I want to layer)
Are we going to do holidays? There are a few that we in the States celebrate that you in Canada and Germany don't. Any thoughts?

I always send at least 3, and as far as holidays whatever everyone else decides is fine with me.
LADIES, I sent 3 images stamped with Momento ink on cryogen cs. Cryogen or Xpress or Neenah 80 lb white are the best cardstocks to use with copic markers in my opinion. I sent 3 images in case of mess ups. Anyone that is the hostess can choose whatever images they prefer. I was also already down here at my son's so I was trying to get the images out in a hurry and didn't put a note in at all, just the images.
Debra had to stamp her own.
Imke I forgot to tell you Debra's SCS name in case you need to get in touch with her. She has a blog, but I will have her list all of that info for you on here and the others will have it if they want it. I think Imke, Denise and Kathy have visited her blog. I will be going home tomorrow so out of touch until tomorrow night. I've had a great time with Debra and Scott but it was scary yesterday. My son had 2 Angina attacks and I knew he had them all the time but had never seen him have one. He had to take 2 nitro with the first one. It was bad and then a few minutes later he had another one not so bad and had to take one nitro. They just come out of the blue. No wonder he sometimes is grouchy, never knowing if this is the big one.
I'll have Debra get on here today and give you all her SCS name etc. Her birthday is Feb 13. I see that living with the stress of my son's heart condition, she needs to stamp to take her mind off his health.
Have a great day.

Kathleen is correct on the inks. In Wish RAK we test the inks every way you can think of to see what you can do with them. The above inks all work well with Copic's . I love using my prisma pencils too.
I only use Memento Tuxedo Black now it works for all the coloring techniques, I got tired of having four or five different inks on my stamping desk. Now I only have the one.
Linda I received my images yesterday! I love the image. Thanks

Oh I've been thinking and yes that hurts! That's 15 blogs/galleries we'll have to hop around to? What if we set up a gallery just for these cards? You could post them in your blog and then in the gallery here and we could go back and see them as often as we want. Then everyone could go to one spot and see them plus blog hop. I'm just thinking out loud here.
Since all of us but Debra are SS's we could call it
SSMIS
Secret Sister Monthly Image Swap
Something like that.

Lena, that´s a great idea. I think we should make it on this way. So you have a look at all the cards. Do I need an extra set for Gallery or we just load up the card with the keyword? I have to inform me.
Thanks Ladies for all the informations about "Copic friendly ink". I think it helps a lot and everyone can get a impression.
Linda- I´m with you. I also thought about 2 or 3 images. As in the other swaps.
We're all waiting for Debra here on SCS. If she has signed up she can also chat with us.
Jaonna- I think no matter what images, whether holiday or not. We have friends in the U.S. who might welcome on such a card

Great idea to post here in the thread and to also post in SCS gallery using the "secret code" SSMIS; that way we see ALL of them at a glance! I'm all for giving it a KISS (keeping it super simple) (could also filter by month by including the month to the secret code, SSMISFEB, SSMISMAR, etc.) Just a thought.

No Imke if everyone thinks this is a good idea? All we'll need to do is enter a key word in the key word box when up -loading our cards and all the cards will all go there.

I'm with whatever everyone decides to do. Lena, I don't know how to upload like you are talking about, but I'm sure Mom can walk me through it on the phone.
What...my MATCHY-MATCHY WALL OF CARDS is chopped livah? <smiles> "MMWC" sounds like Roman numerals!
I too received Linda's images today and plan to start tonight! I rented "YOU AGAIN" and just got into my comfy fleece jammie pants and schlipperz!
Linda--you have beautiful handwriting---"old school" penmanship! I very rarely use penmanship--kind of BEEG crazy print writing for me now--my DD studied handwriting analysis and I was one of her subjects for the science fair in grade school---I think my head is BIGGER than my penmanship--or something like I have the confidence of a Mac truck? haha My Aunt used to have a very distinct handwriting--straight up and down and she ALWAYS USED A RULER!!! When I asked her why, she said, "That's how I learned to write neatly!" I'll say--no loops under the lines!
Have a great night y'all!
Linda---sorry to hear about your son's heart issues--WOW huh? That's scary stuff--may he never experience 'the big one'...and God bless Debra--stamping is great creative relief for anyone trying to get their mind off of something that real!
Why not post our cards HERE....Does everyone know how to do it? "Go Advanced feature"?

Denise sure you do.... everytime you add a card to your gallery you are doing exactly that. When you up-load ~ download whatever it's called. The only thing different is that there is a line which is always there that says keyword. In that spot you will add the letters we decide on.
Or if you use a Magnolia stamp you can add Magnolia there. Then your card shows up in the Magnolia gallery and in your gallery ect.
example of what it would look like is:
This is from one of my cards in my gallery.
Additional Info
Keywords: WRNYCC1109 Magnolia
Stamps: Magnolia, Fairy Tale Tilda
Paper: Papertrey white, Orchid Opulence, My Minds Eye "Penny Lane"
Ink: Memento TB
Accessories: ribbbon, half pearls, Copic markers, SU oval punches, stickles, google eyes
Did I really confuse you now?

Imke---I just copied/pasted your directions to a WORD doc and printed it! I might ask you when I am done where "here" is! hahahahaha Here: our personal gallery but use that code and what happens? I do want to learn this task!
Sorry, I have only posted a couple of cards to my gallery and to be honest with you---I had to put my thinking cap on to accomplish it...plus, then someone wrote me and said my cards got uploaded!!!

Lena, Debra and I need your help. Debra has been a member of SCS for at least 5 years but not too active. She still reads certain things and gets some updates. It will not let her post in this thread. In the bottom left corner it says You May NOT post new threads. Could they have put her inactive.? She can post on the RAK birthday thank you thread.
why??? We do not know what to do and she is wanting to post. She can pull up the thread and read them, just not post.
She will post when they allow her too.
We are getting ready for the 5 hr drive home so when I am home and on my computer will talk again.
Have a great day everyone.

Hey Linda: I think that the problem is you have to apply to the Swap Guardian to gain access to the swaps forum. Remember ... about a year ago we all had to apply? If you go to the main page, under the join a user group, she needs to click there. I'm pretty sure that once she is "approved" she will be able to post in this forum.
Suser Q: You make me giggle every time! Everyone gets the message from the Swap Guardian when you upload. If you pay the money, you get instant upload access, otherwise you have to wait and get the little message. Enjoy your movie!
You´re funny and I notice, it brings me to my linguistic limits . LOL
Just upload your card with the keyword, then everyone who enter the keyword in the gallery "search" can find your card.

Thanks Imke great idea to add it to the main message so we can find the code without going back through all the post. I know by the time I load mine I will have forgotten! That's called CRS.

Who's Whatchyamacallit Matchy-Matchy Card of the Month Wall!
WWMMCMW <---I'm still pushin' my Matchy theme...No? hahahaha
Queenie Jo...Yes we have AcMoore here and the entire store is a bunch of grumps! Nothing is show n tell...they never do demo's and their make-n-takes are for kindergarten children--and a crabby lady runs that too! haha
I specifically asked if they had any of the NEW/IMPROVED Inkadink products open in the classroom (embossing powder, pens, ink pads etc--an entire aisle is designated to this brand....)the 'crabby lady' said, (use a crabby hairy voice here) "We don't do that at this store!" Grumble, grumble <mean face> So, I go there now and again, but the Michael's across the street has more and newer stuff.

Did everyone catch the quilt card demo on our weekly inkling? I was horsing around last night (in between some serious coloring for our WWMMCMW haha...and did this --if you have a 3/4's square punch....it makes it super easy! Not sure what this looks like--Italian Restaurant---see for yourselves!

PS...Queenie Jo..have fun tonight---I have one teenager out at the mall with his buddies, one with a runny nose on the couch and the other on her computer---hubs just took a late afternoon power nap and I clocked out...down here for the rest of the night horsin' around!

Susanne - your quilt card looks fabulous.I like the colors and the different DP.
I've done something similar on cards. But i have no square punch (I absolutely have to buy on ) and with my cutting machine it is sometime a little odd if the paperstrips are to narrow.
Lena- Tanja has given me the tip with the first post/thread. I will announce there every month the keyword.
Hi everyone! I am so glad everyone is receiving their images. I mailed them all at the same time while in Mt. View.
Happy Birthday Debra!
I had company 5 min after I got home last night. We all went out to eat and the restaurant was so packed. We waited 40 min on a table and then they delivered 11 dinners and forgot my DH and mine and had to go cook it. Everyone was thru eating when we got ours but they cut our ticket in half and didn't charge us for the Caso or drinks at all so it worked out. Then today DS and Debra getting ready to make their 5 1/2 dr. and my DGS and baby Jade came and stayed until 5 min ago so they will be late getting home.
I am spending today going back thru and reading all the swap threads I'm on. I've just been able to skim them. I haven't been able to read the blogs I love to read either so will just be lazy today and play on the computer all the rest of today.
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Susanne, your quilt card is gorgeous!
Happy Birthday to Debra!
I finished my waiting tilda card today! I'll post a pic of it here in the thread and then I'll post it to the special gallery. If time allows this month, I may create another using the images Linda sent.
