Hi all,

Joanna- Linda is right with the mail. A normal envelope like yours (only some images) takes 5-7 days. Only parcels and packages take longer. But no worry- itīs ok. Tanja got hers also. This weekend starts the renovation of their new house.

Pat- Have fun with crocheting the flowers. I can not crochet at all. Or do you glue the lace to a flower ??

Debra- I hope your DH and DS are feeling better soon !!

Susanne- We were also announced for the weekend snow rain ::SHOCK::: We have such beautiful sunshine and warmth, I hope the meteorologists are wrong.

Vickie- Your card is lovely. The big flowers is fantastic !!

Have a great day !

Oh gosh, I think I've confused you about the flower! The lace is already has the crocheted look...just pull some of it out of the packaging (about 18 inches...I never measure!) and adhere it to the 1 1/4 inch circle. I only wish I could crochet!

I think now I understand, Vickie You take the lace and "build" around the circle a flower and glue it on. In the middle of a button or whatever and you're done ?

Although not crochet, it still looks great but I would have also believed that you'd even crochet

Hey ladies just checking in. Of course I'm bringing up the rear with this challenge. I'll get it done, the sickies last week really threw me for a loop.

Vickie, those flowers are so pretty, I need to try one.

Linda, have a great visit with your mother. I love the name Raven, that is so cute, it's great that she likes to visit her great grandma, too. Have fun at Hobby Lobby!

Linda have fun at HL!! I really like the Spare Parts section and stock up when they are 50% off!! Not crazy about my HL but their great sale prices keep me going there. Enjoy the visit with your Mom and grandaughter!

Kathy so glad your sickies are feeling better.

Pat and Kathy, Raven is 11 yr. old and she is 5 ft. 5 in. tall. That makes her 5 in. taller than me as I am just 5 ft. I hate being this short but thats the way I'm made. We had a great visit with my Mother. She was perky and so happy to see us.

We went to HL and I got some lace. I'm going to try the flower today too! We'll see if that works. Even tho Raven is that tall, she is still 11 so she still wants me to do things with her but hopefully I'll have time to try. She has that name because we are a little Native American, enough to be on the Osage Indian rolls. My mother draws a headright from them which helps her income quite a bit. Anyway Raven was born with dark brown hair, almost black so she got that name. Now she is med. brown hair with blond streaks as her Mom is a hairdresser, so the name doesn't fit as well as it used to. I'm sure this is more information than you wanted. lol!

Denise, glad to see you are back on your feet.
Debra, hoping Scott and Alex are much better. I'm calling him later today.

Have a great day everyone.

Kathy---loved your card today (pink sexy lady)...Looks like a Kraftin Kimmie stamp?Anyway, she's adorable!

Our dinner hour(s) last all night at this joint! I baked cookies for a couple of reasons: neighbor just out of rehab and getting around to a batch for him, another neighbor is in the hospital, dropped off a batch for them, another neighbor just loves my cookies so they get a batch and finally another neighbor...is getting theirs tomorrow! It's the 112 quantity doubled batch of Chocolate Chip Oatmeal--of course I saved a batch for us---by batch I mean loaded plate! I think I shared this recipe in our SS#3--it has tons of chocolate in the recipe and in each cookie! But, it's healthy because there is oatmeal inside too!!!

Back to my original statement:
Anyway, I feel like I started dinner hours ago, and there have been 3 seatings so far...my baseball player Patrick will be coming into the house any minute and said he was hungry...so I am not going near the kitchen until he's done!!!

I still haven't had time to try the flower. Gotta find time to try it. I did buy the lace.

hey Linda don't you love it when HL has stuff for 50% off?? Vickie was right the flowers are pretty easy but I had a little trouble with the adhesive at first. Ended up using the peel off strips...they are pretty strong.

Thanks for the advise about the strips Pat.

We have an anniversary party to go to today. Glenn's nephew and his second wife have been married 25 years so his sister is having a party for him and his wife.

I am still working on my blog and my Easter cards for 30 something kids.

Itīs 6 pm now and we are making chicken BBQ today and perhaps a delicious German sausage (bratwurst). Yummieh !!

Pat, yes I love HL sales. It is all I have here in town so have to love it...lol!!! I really enjoyed shopping the other day with Raven. They had new paper in and the old had been in the store forever. It had some new and really pretty paper.

Denise, love your card. Try again on Monday since you aren't in the Fan Club. It might upload then, if not send me a photo and I'll try to post it. I really love the swirls, I may wish I had ran some of those thru the cutter. They are bigger than what I have, I think. Anyway, your card is beautiful.

Hi Denise....it did the same for mine! I "auto cropped it" and poof...worked the second time through! My DD took the picture and I think she had the zoom lense on the digital (this avoided the shadows and sun coming through the window)...but my card looks like a billboard compared to everyone elses...simply said...I need some one-on-one training with the diggie cam! haha Either that or build a dark room!!! har har har Adorable card...love the lil' charm just hangin' out on the flourish...so sweet!

Imke---how exciting to have your vacation all planned...remember to bring a sweatshirt for nighttime--diff areas of CA can be very diverse weather. The more north you go, seems cooler or foggier! Bring a lil' plastic container and swipe up some California sand...like the Atlantic sand I sent you from here...tuck it in your personal make up bag to get it through customs!!! (Listen to me..teaching the nice lady how to steal sand from California for her cards!!! haha) Oh gosh, and to think my family has to live with such a hardened criminal!!! haha

HL is in Illinois..so I am going to finally see whatchyall bin tawkin' about with this store! When I go to the wedding in Indiana..I'll be staying at my brother's house in Illinois! Does HL take Michaels coupons? <perk> Listen to me, already trying to push for discounts!!

Have a great night everyone! Wrote ya all in the other room...don't wanna be repetitive...

Denise, that is too cute! Love the flourish, that's such a great touch.
Yeah, Joanna is home, hope you had a great trip and enjoyed time with your mom. Thanks for the compliment, you are sweet.
Imke, bet you are looking forward to that vacation, sounds great.
Susanna, I'm like you, no HL around here. Wish we had one, sounds like they have some great stuff!
Since I'm still up, I should get off the computer and finish up THIS card, I'm as always running late! I love the image Imke picked this month, so sweet!

Hi there,

Pat- I will give the message to Tanja. Now it really starts for them.

Denise- Your card is so beautiful ! I just saw it on your blog. The flowers and the swirl look fabulous. Great color choice !

Susanne- Great idea to keep sand from the beach. We collect the fridge magnets. A great memory. My brother was last year at the Grand Canyon but had no time to visit a souvenir shop. We already have a job to bring a magnet for him

Joanna- Welcome back. I hope you had a great time with your mom !!

Kathy- I made a Magnolia Card with a card kit from you. I donīt know from which round it was. But itīs perfect for spring. I hope i have time to post it tomorrow on my blog....

Imke, love your stars card.
Denise I left some love on your blog on the post below the card.
Tell Lexie to get her card together if she wants to. I know she had the image colored when I was out there.
My color ME Creative classroom with Suzanne Dean had a 1 yr birthday party last week. A Cricut Expressions is the Grand Prize. Cross your fingers for me everyone. I would love to win it. Of course there are about 250/300 others that would love to win it too. We had a week long celebration with lots of challenges and prizes for that too.
I'm off to church.

Good morning!

Denise, your card is gorgeous. Love that the charm has hitched a ride on the flourish! The colors are so vibrant and springy.

Susanne, when will you be in Indiana??

Hope everyone has a super Sunday! The sun is finally shining here, but it is still cold outside.

Joanna I bet you had a great time with your Mom. I know I am always excited to be able to get to see mine, I guess because there were a few years after I first moved out here that I didn't get to go home for 5 years. My Mom tried to come out everyother year, but I love it that we can see each other more now.

Thanks for the compliments on my card. I felt like I was rushing trying to get it done. I had spent most of that day helping Lexie get her paperwork done for the High School at the local community college she wants to go to. I sure hope she gets accepted, she has several of her teachers who have written letters for her. She is finishing up the essay she has to write. She wants the challenge that she will get there, and also to be able to have an AA degree when she graduates High School. It is alot of work for her, but she already does take accellerated classes.

Hope everyone had a great Sunday!

Vickie...I'll be in Indiana for a July 2nd wedding! Believe it or not, I have absolutely ZERO information right here!!! I cannot think of the town, because the bride has changed her location 16 times!!! hahaha Isn't that awful? I just know I am flying into Midway, Chicago, staying at my brother's house in Darien, IL, then driving 2.5 hours to the wedding site! It's Amish country there so I hear---evidently the Chicago Tribune advertises about getting away for a weekend at this place....I am drawing a total blank...I'll research it today...let ya know--wouldn't it be a kick if we met up? I am not renting my own car--I'll be tagging onto whoever has a car there...One of my top priorities is to get to downtown Chicago and check out the HL near my brothers house...and..of course any other groovy LSS's!

Tracie, don't work too hard on your vacation. I do hope you enjoy some fun time.

Suzanne, our HL does not take other company coupons. Just go to Hobby Lobby - Hobby Lobby when you are ready to leave. Click on the specials and go to the left hand side of add and click on print coupon. They have specials every week and a 40% off coupon every other week. Sometimes they have a 25% only coupon but mainly 40%. Other items will be 40 or 50% off thru out the store. Scrapbooking always has something on sale. Stamps are 40% off quite often and so is paper and paper pads. Hope it is a good store. As everywhere some are better than others.

Pat, hope you had a good weekend.

Tracie, hope you have a relaxing week and not work too hard at spring cleaning! Pat is so right, the week will go by way too fast!

Susanne, the only place coming to my mind is Amish Acres in Nappanee; but, the northern part of Indiana has a lot of Amish areas. Shipshewanna is another quaint, Amish area with lots of shops. And, yes it would be fun to meet up!

Hobby Lobby has an online store too. I've ordered from it when I couldn't find what I wanted in the HL store; like Linda said, HL will only accept HL coupons. The coupons can also be used online. The online shipping was reasonable and pretty fast. So, almost everyone has a "Hobby Lobby" with its online store! (not sure about International shipping or if it's offered though)

I am seeing that one day went by fast and only got 1/2 my kitchen cabinets cleaned out. I did take 3 boxes to good will today so that made me feel good. Hopefully I will finish up with the kitchen tomorrow. Of course I did have time to go to HL today and bought a few things. Had a 40% off coupon so that always gets me in there. Archivers is in my plans tomorrow, hopefully.

Actually what I love about Hobby Lobby is that I can cruise the online site while I shop and then the cashiers will look at my phone and "take" the coupon that I bring up. I don't even have to print it (cause I NEVER remember to do so ahead of time). Michaels will do it too but Archivers won't.

Joanna,
I can't wait to see what image you have chosen for all of us. I think it is awesome that we can see how different everyone's style is for this forum. I hope that I am not the last to get mine done this time. I sure have a hard time getting it posted to the gallery, I never had any problems before. Go figure! Mom is trying to get it done now for me.

Queenie Jo...you must have one of those super groovy phones! I am updating my cell April 1st and still won't get the on line kind--I just want to be able to text w/o it taking 2 hours to type 3 words! I saw a lady do the phone thing @ Joanns one day...impressive...so paperless! Maybe my next-next phone will do that..in the mean time I am going with what is FREE on my Verizon plan!!! (we have 4 phones on this play---nothing is free!!! haha)..Good thing DH's phone is through his office or we'd be eating crackers for dinnah!
