Hello everyone,
Well it's almost spring....ok maybe not...but still who doesn't love flowers any time of the year? That is what this swap is all about...flowers.
You can choose to swap just flowers or you can swap cards with flowers on them. Or you can do both.
The only rule is you must make the flowers that you swap. If you have never made your own flowers now is a good chance to give it a try. I will warn you tho, you will get addicted to them. There are a ton of videos on you tube about making paper flowers.
If you are thinking hand made ones are not as pretty as store bought, take a look at the galleries of Laurenscraft and Ashdale. Their flowers are prettier then any store bought I have ever seen. Now mine are not that pretty but I just started making my own. So that just goes to show you don't have to be a pro at it in order to join this swap. Beginners are welcome!!!
Details are:
Quantity is 4+1 (+1 is for the hostess, that's me!). You will receive 4 back.
Due Date is FEBRUARY 25, 2012. I will swap and return them within 10 days of receiving everyone's envelopes.
Feel free to sign up for as many spots as you like, but please make a different card for each spot you take. There is no limit.
If you are choosing to make flowers with no card, please make 5 of the same flower for each spot you take. There is no limit.
If for some reason you cannot complete the swap, please PM me and let me know. I understand life happens and some things are beyond our control, but please be considerate of others in the swap. Please let me know ASAP if you cannot complete your part so I can find someone to fill that spot.
Once you start using them, you will be addicted too
Mailing Instructions:
Place your flowers and/or cards in a large ziplock bag for waterproofing. Include a card/paper with your name, SCS username and name of the swap in your bag. Include a SASE with the same amount of postage that it took to mail to me along with 2 extra postage stamps in the bag for me to use in case return postage is more. I will return extra postage not used.
**Please do not use metered stamps. They are only good for the day they are printed.**
For our swappers that are outside of the USA; please keep in mind that your return envelope must have US postage on it or you can include cash. I will return whatever is left over after purchasing the postage.

Ok Dani, I will be in... I will have 2 spots in flowers, and 1 in cards..... do the flower spots have to be different, I am only a one trick pony and can only make roses just yet, no, I am kidding you, I might make carnations instead, or there are sunflowers, or daisies, or something else. Maybe I could make an orchid, or.... or.... or .... or... or.... or
Now you know my flowers are bulky, so everyone be prepared for that, you will need parcel post.... tee hee....
Wow thank you ladies. Y'all ROCK!!! You will have to check out post #1 to see who is getting prizes. I will post everything as soon as I am done typing this. Lauren, even tho you were joking that is a good questions because of our beginners. If you only know how to do one flower and you are taking more than 1 spot please make a different color for each spot. Does that sound fair?
Thank you Yvonne. I will mess around with the colors tomorrow. I know all that black by the names doesn't look right. However, I am soo tired tonight. Therefore I am going to go to bed now. I went back on You Tube and watched more videos (this can lead to trouble. LOL). I learned more ways to do them, so put me down for both categories!

Dani, I want 1 spot in each category but I'm just telling you they won't be there until the last minute!! I'm up to my eyeballs in swaps and challenges. And I'm crazy enough to be starting back to school in mid January. I'll never get any sleep!!!!
I watched some videos on You Tube and am going to try making flowers this afternoon. I went to a New Year's Eve party last night and told 3 of my stamping friends about making your own flowers. They thought that sounded pretty cool!

Yeah, they are awful! LOL I did try making one flower last night. It came out so-so. May try another kind today, if I get some other stuff done like paying bills, taking down the tree, etc.
