Default *Finished* Swapped - Penguins Anything Goes Card Swap

I love penguins! And I have a couple of penguin stamps that I like to pull out and use whenever I can so I figured why not host a swap where everyone uses penguins. I would love to see what other penguin stamps are out there, and what everyone can come up with.

Description: This swap is for standard sized cards (4 ¼ x 5 ½ ). Different folds are acceptable as long as they’re full sized cards (no 3 x 3 for example). There is no particular theme or sentiment needed, just as long as your cards have penguins on them.

Quantity: 4 +1 (The +1 is for me). You will not receive one of your own back.

Vendor products: No vendor requirements, just ensure you use good quality supplies. Make something you’d want to receive.

Signing Cards: Feel free to include your Real Name,
SCS Name, Swap Name and/or email address on the backs of the cards so that other swappers know who’s done what.

Deadlines:
Sign-up date:
October 1, 2011
Due In Hand:
October 17, 2011
Return Date:
October 25, 2011

Mailing instructions:

Place swap items in a large baggie for waterproof purposes. Write your real name,
SCS name and swap name on a piece of paper and include in the baggie for identification purposes. Also include a self addressed envelope and postage on the side. The amount of postage should be the same amount that it takes to mail to me plus additional postage to ensure that enough postage will cover the returned swap items. Postage that is not used will be returned.

Please note that I am in Canada. For Americans, since different postage is needed for me to return to you, please do not place postage on the self addressed envelope. I will keep the cost in stamps so that I can participate in future swaps hosted by Americans and I will purchase the amount needed to send to you. Again, I will only keep the same amount of stamps that are needed for me to send to you and I will return extras.

Please PM me for my address when you’re ready to ship.

Thanks Kristina for joining up!

Just to let everyone know, I'm on vacation and will have limited access to the internet, with the exception of my iPhone from tomorrow until next Saturday night. I'll keep checking in but don't panic if I don't update the list, or get back to you right away. Also, I'll be a little behind in bumping the thread in order to gain more sign ups.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Thanks for joining up Jan! I'll put you down for two spots.

Just to let everyone know, I'm unable to edit posts so I can't add names to the list. My phone won't scroll in the text box. I'll try to get to a computer with Internet this week, if I can't, I won't be able to add to the list of swappers until Saturday.

So Jan, I've got you down but your name might not appear on the list until Saturday night.

You'll make 5 cards for each set and you'll get 4 back. This is so that I can keep a copy of everyone's. You won't get one of you own back.

I somehow managed to lose my ATG gun recently. I went to get it when I was at my Grandmother's but I couldn't find it so I figured it must've fell out at home, or I probably took it out of the bag to use it and forgot to put it back. Can't find it anywhere at home either so I've been unable to craft for a bit but on the weekend I went and got a new one. So this week I'll be working on some other swaps I'm in and then will get to this one!

Jan, I have no problem if you use a digital image. I'm hoping to see a bunch of images I may not have seen before and chances are I won't have seen this one!

Michelle, my penguins got detoured. They went on a rather odd waddle but made it back to me.
I've lectured all 5 of them, stuffed them into a baggie and then into envelopes with strict instructions to follow the correct directions to your place.
Sorry for the delay!

LOL, too cute. Don't worry about the delay, still plenty of time. Thanks for letting me know though because I was watching for them. I'll let you know when they've made their way to me!

I know some cards have arrived, I'll update as to who's they are when I get home from work. They're currently at my parent's place and I haven't been there yet this week. I've been giving out their address since they live in a house with a big mailbox. My apartment sized mailbox is small and my mailman isn't concerned about the condition of my mail, he'll jam everything in even if there's no room. Since I didn't want to damage any of the cards I had them sent to my parent's. The only down side is that it may take me a few days to update when they've arrived (they only live a few minutes from me so I usually stop by on Wednesdays and weekends).

Also, Tamara's were the cards that were waiting for me when I got home. Love them! I've updated the first post to show they've been received.

What's going on with our postal service? I am surprised at how long mine are taking to get there. They better not be rerouting themselves back to me

Kristina, your fellas arrived! I love your cards! Such a unique fold and closure. I hope you don't mind if I borrow the idea sometime in the future.

Well now, it's certainly about time! I'd almost think they were migrating from Antarctica...lol

I'm glad you find the fold inspiring. Please do borrow the idea. I liked how easy they all came together once I figured it all out.

Cheers!
