Hi Zella -- I'd like a spot. I have some cute Bear stamps that I may use but not sure yet, as I have lots of animal ones! Definitely post on my swaps too so folks know about it, and send an invite to Forest Ranger as she loves animal swaps too!!!
Glad to have you Kristina! And welcome to the wonderful world of swapping! It's a great way to get ideas, make new friends, and just have a great time!!!!
Me too! I love animals. Kitties are my thing right now...since I have 2 inside....but alas, we are feeding 4 outside. And I think 1 of the outside ones may one day live inside with us. UGH!! I'm gonna be one of those people who has 50 cats and eats cat food if I'm not careful! LOL!!!
I'll take 2 spots please. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Love, hugs and prayers=grandmajudy
Do we have to name our animal and can the cards be an assortment of animals including mice?
I saw the most beautiful bird at the pet store this weekend!!!! It was sort of like a grey parrot kind of bird....but his belly was pink. He was so pretty!!! Now how do I know it was a "he"? I don't......guess with a pink belly I should be calling it a "she"! LOL!!
They also had the cutest ferrets! I've never had anything like that but they have the cutest litle faces.
Pet Stores are generally off limits for me. I go in and want to buy animals too often. Last time I did that, I bought a pair of zebra finches. Then those two had 3 babies. They were all males so I felt i had to buy them females to go with them... so then I had 8 birds, who had babies... and then kept multiplying and I was giving away finches to any friends who would have them, and finally had to buy more cages to separate the males from the females, and trying to keep up on it all!

I love looking at the animals at the pet store also and so hard to go and leave them there. I have my cat (Tuffy). She is my baby.
I also have a lot of animal spots but will do one of my spots with my mice. Last month I got the set Say Something Nice mice set at a yard sale for only $5.00.. It is a SVU set and has 8 stamps in it and they are like new. Better not let Tuffy see me stamping with the mice LOL Love, hugs and prayers=grandmajudy
Zella- I think you are just great!! I am going to sub for now. I really need to get my other stuff done before I make a total committment. (I'm trying something new-LOL) I've done really good at not even looking at swaps, but I just stamped a bunch of new animal images that I borrowed with you in mind. So let me get caught up and I'll be back...Happy Day
I had to chuckle at the bird story.....I had a pair of parakeets. One was yellow and green and I named him George. He was pretty - but gee, he was sort of mean! But my other one was BlueBeard. He was light blue and very pretty. One day he started to lose all his feathers. Have you ever seen a parakeet without feathers? It's not a nice visual! Anyway, my dad kept walking by his cage telling him he was and ugly bird. Well that just couldn't be! So I told my dad to stop doing that....and when he walked by the cage he had to tell BlueBeard he was a pretty bird. So he did. And can you believe it - that bird started growing it's feathers back!!!!!! Within a few weeks he was back to normal!! Now I know that birds molt - but the coincidence was just too eerie. That story even became an illustration in one of my dads sermons! LOL!!!
I completely understand Tuffy being your baby......cause Boots and Cosmo are the fur-babies in our home. And yes, even though we like to think that we run the house....the truth is that it seems we were put on this earth to serve those two cats. LOL!!! Or at least they think so!!!!! Boots was a rescue from the pound and Cosmo was a rescue stray in the neighborhood. Cosmo was feral...and she still won't let us pick her up - but she's very sweet (although scared of EVERYTHING!). Boots on the other hand is my spoiled baby boy who has to be into everything I do....he lays on my craft table while I'm making cards or stamping. So yes - everything I make has at least 1 cat hair in it! Usually it's in the adhesive and no one sees it - but I have been known to have to get the tweezers to pull hairs out of projects. Ah, but I wouldn't trade the babies for anything.
Now we are feeding 4 outside! UGH!! Oh wait - did I say 4....we discovered Saturday that it's 5! Yep - there are two black fuzzy kitties...they look exactly alike and we thought there was one until we saw them together. Oh, and should I count the 2 racoons that were out there eating the cat food the other night? And a partridge in a pear tree.....
Animal lovers unite....I have 7 dogs-yes you read that correctly 7....now I know you are now thinking, oh these must be tiny dogs like yorkies or something....but NO they are not I have all Big Dogs...I use 50 lbs of dog food every 10 days. then if that's not enough, I have 5 cats, 1 african grey parrot, 1 green iguana, 1 black & tan Tegu monitor, 1 19ft Albino Reticulated Python. then currently I have 4 rabbits, but these numbers have a tendancy to change, but I won't explain why....Sorry folks....Apparently I have an addictive personallity! LOL I would have 100 dogs if my house was big enough, heck it's not big enought for the one's I have. I'm so glad I don't have more than one bird, I just couldn't handle that! oh that sounds really funny, another bird is what's going to push me over the edge...LOL...hum...I think I must be there already!!
WOW, Kristyn, you have got a housefull!!! Are you sure it isn't a zoo????
When I was growing up, I remember we had 2 dogs (1 was a St. Bernard my sister adopted), 2 parakeets, 4 cats, a turtle, and who knows what else as they came and went. We did have 4 dogs, but 2 passed away so we are down to the 4 now. We have a stray kitten hanging around now but Dh is allergic so we are trying to find a good home... if you were nearby, I'd know where to take her!!!

Guess what is growing in my yard??!! A few days ago I looked out the kitchen window and in our backyard was a round white mushroom about the size of a golf ball. I thought it was cute! (Ok, so I'm a bit odd thinking that a mushroom is cute...but I never have claimed to be normal! LOL!!). Well, a couple days ago I was doing dishes and up and the mushroom caught my eye....it was the size of a baseball! This morning - it's now the size of a very large grapefruit or bigger! It has to be between 6 and 7 inches tall and it's the perfect circle! It's so cool!!!! I wish I had the ability to take it's picture and post it. Now I'm wondering how big it will be by the weekend!!! Who knows - maybe next week they'll be able to see it from the Space Station! LOL!!!
Did you ever have a bug fly in your eye? Yep - happened to me this week. I mean this little critter was IN my eye....and after I got it out it still felt like it was there for a few hours later. UGH!!!
For now I would like one spot. I am going to be the only one home tonight, so I may venture in the crafting closet and see what and how many animal stamp jump out at me!
Oh, your cats and dogs sound wonderful. And yes, they rule us. I got Tuffy at 3 weeks old cu she wasn't eating so I took her and fed her with an eye dropper for 3 weeks or so. She was sooo tiny and delicate looking and now is over 7 yrs. old. I did my images for my mice and then will do images for my other spot. Love, hugs and prayers=grandmajudy

Hi Zella,
I'm with Kristyn. I'm subbing for now, I must finish up at least a few of the swaps that I'm in before I commit to any more (one of them is Kristyn's). As soon as I plan a little catch up, I'll be back.
LOL! So Lisa, when you finish Kristyn's swap you can both join this one! LOL!! I'll be waiting patiently. Believe me, I understand...sometimes I think I have signed up for every swap on SCS. Trying to be more realistic these days....but there are so many good ones out there it's hard to say no!
Yep - that mushroom in our yard is still growing! Last night after work DH went outside to measure it. First he took the watermelon we had and it was bigger than the watermelon!!! Then he got his tape measure - it was 9" high x 13" wide. Well, this morning it looked bigger - so out with the tape measure again....and it's now 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" wide! If you don't hear from me on Monday, you'll know that it grew so much that it enveloped our house! LOL!!!
