2015 Cards For A Cause
SEPTEMBER MISSION Stamp from the Heart!
ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Forgotten4Paws
Description of Organization: Description of Organization: Forgotten 4-Paws is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), volunteer-run organization concerned with the welfare of all animals. Though our main focus is animal welfare, we also rescue abandoned, neglected and stray cats and dogs, with the help of caring foster families (as we have no "shelter" of our own), and adopt them into loving, forever homes. To date, we have helped over 5,000 animals find the happily-ever-after endings they so desperately deserved. www.forgotten4paws.org CONTACT PERSON:
Teresa - va.sunshine
Referred by: Fellow SCSer-Maggie, StampinCatMom TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED: They are requesting mainly thank you cards to send to those who have adopted animals, but would also like thinking of you, get well, and birthday cards to use for the volunteers, etc. They prefer cat and dog-related, but welcome any theme/design. Please leave room inside for them to write a note, and include envelopes, if possible. Lesa is requesting that we include our email addresses when we send our cards, as she'd like to respond with a thank you and a picture of one of the animals that have been adopted.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: Please leave space inside for us to write a note, and please provide envelopes.
GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.
MAILING ADDRESS: Please mail cards to...

hunting for pet stuff - since i don't have anything in my stamps/dies/cut file collections for animals...
then i'll start creating! This month is a challenge!!!
I'm in. Started tonight. Got all my dog and kitty stamps out. All my babies are abandoned kitties. Between my mom, now living with me, we have ten. Just took in one last winter. He appeared on my porch so in need of care and love. Wonderful project.
My wonderful shelter manager says " everything deserves a chance". She will take any animal if it needs her. We have taken baby mice! Your butterfly card is lovely.
I have 18 cards going out from Cleveland, Tuesday.

All of our dogs are adopted rescues and I've got some neglected animal stamps waiting for ink, so count me in this month! Can you believe this grandma actually took a break from making a quilt for her grandson to make a bed for one of her dogs? Yup, that's me!

Boxed up 24 cards this evening - they'll be going in the mail tomorrow (hopefully!) - pictures in gallery.
I had to get creative (lacking animal stamps) - we have 2 cats from Rescue - sister & brother Bengals.
I should hope everyone who gets children - uh - pets from rescue enjoys theirs as much as we do ours!
I will try to get some out by the end of the month. We have 5 rescues from Westie Rescue of North Texas. Getting some card gift sets ready for their silent auction next month.
OK, well I totally lost control this month and just started making my cards without keeping track of how many I was making. After having picture day today, I discovered I have 42 dog and cat cards - 16 cat thank you cards and 25 dog thank you cards plus 1 cat birthday card. I have about 4 or 5 birthday card (dogs and cats) colored up ready to go onto even more cards, so my final total is going to be around 50 cards. I will post my final count when I mail them, probably Wednesday. I posted an overabundance of cards into the challenge gallery too - might as well go crazy there too, lol! I have some more cards in my gallery as well if anyone would like to check them out.
