What a great cause. Best of all, since they can use any type, even if I don't have time to make any, I'm sure I have some already made they can use for sure.

Are these for the kids to send home, or give to each other? or ??
either way - I'm In!! I kinda like the challenge of making interesting cards for teens!
Some of these are cards for kids to send home. Others are for this office to use for encouragement for mothers who have children here, some are for thanking the volunteers and some are to encourage the juveniles who live here. The woman in charge of this is an amazing, encouraging woman. She wants to give these kids something they probably have never had, encouragement and self-worth. Thank you for your help with this cause.

Now I have tears in my eyes Teresa. Just hearing your words reaffirms what we are doing here. We never know how these things will touch others. Imagine all of the kids and parents these cards will affect. Thank you ladies and thank you God for leading us to this ministry.

Hey friends! This may have been answered before, but I may have missed it. When sending along envelopes, how do you package the cards with them? I seem to find it a problem especially during the humid and heat weather with the sticky envelope closure sticking to either the card or to itself. So I was wondering how you send them and do you put the cards inside of the envelopes when you send it or leave it separate from the cards? (I didn't get a chance to send my cards yet, but got them ready to go other than figuring out how package them.) THANK YOU!!

I never even thought about that. I usually just put the flap of the envelope inside the card. I don't put the card in the envelope as it is easier to see the card rather then having to pull it out.

Vicki, I do what Lorraine does. You could also just put the envelopes in their own pile and not include a card with each. I've never had a problem.

I put the envie behind each card, but not inside...have never had a problem with any sticking. You could always put the envie's in a zip lock bag separately. Please do not feel like you need to purchase anything more to send your cards.

Thanks for answering my question about the envelope flaps. I know sometimes it can be a problem because I've sent something and had people say that it stuck to the card which would not be a good thing. I think I will just place all them next/behind the card and in case it does end up sticking, it will stick to the envelope itself. The zip lock bag is what I usually use, so hopefully they will be fine this way. Our weather is hot and humid right now and not sure how it would take. 23 cards will go out TODAY!!
