I am so grateful for my organization to be featured. For those of you who used to send cards to Operation Write Home, think of these are "anyhero" cards. Its the same idea.
Also if you have kids, I can always use cards from children.
Be assured your cards will bring a smile to our troops!
I'm committing to make time for this one - regardless of the fray of getting ready to host the whole family for Christmas! Our Warriors deserve to know someone back home is thinking of them!
I do have a quesyion. Are these cards mostly for males or do they need cards for females too? I know there are female soldiers so would like to know what the needs are.

Of course the majority of recipients are male but we do send out customized go bags (transition kits for hospital stay) for female troops.
I'm assuming an envelope of cards signed by adults and kids from Poynette Wisconsin is from a stamper here. There was no name on the envelope and just wanted to let you know they came and thank you for your help.
I thought this organization was no longer accepting cards?
Sorry... I looked into it a couple of months ago, for my local girls to send to, but after looking up operationwritehome.org , found they weren't accepting anymore :( Did I get it wrong?
So, am looking elsewhere to send cards to....

You just read the organization's name wrong Easy to confuse the two.
My organization is Operation Qiuet Comfort and I am the card coordinator. We are always in need of cards. (I know operation Write Home very well. I was one of its original shippers)
5 St Patty's Day cards going out in the mail Monday. I know St Patty's Day wasn't on the list of requested cards but thought it might be nice for something different.

I tried and tried and tried but didn't manage to get time to make up cards for our warriors!!!
The last of my holiday company is leaving this morning! So I'm scheduling time this week/weekend...and will have cards sent out right after new years...

Funny story: went to the post office...I drove and dropped my dh off to run in...I told him I would drive around the block and when I was coming up the side of the post office he was already walking around the corner....I thought "gee, he got in and out fast"....so he jumps in the car and I said "wow - that was fast"...and he said "well I just...OH MAN!"... here he thought it was strange that I was driving around the block when all he was doing (and did) was dump the envies in the box....yes, they got in the mail stream without postage! I'm assuming they will be sent back to me...but if they do get their destinations (both Nov & Dec) with "postage due" please let me know and I will send that $. So sorry!

Typical of our DH's! No worries on the postage if it makes it to NC. I'll take care if it.
