Smile SC63 Cherish

I am a time thief and stole another hour to make a card for this week's sketch challenge. Thanks for the challenge. It was a fun and easy. I used my Coluzzle cutting system to cut the inside layering squares and used my corner rounder for the 5x5 base. Until next week....Rubber Hugs.

My card doesn't exactly follow the sketch, but the size was inspired by it, so I think it'll be okay to post it here.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...242015&cat=830

My second card for the sketch is true to the sketch...here it is. It also uses this weeks TLC-faux embossing.

I cut the size down because I didn't have a larger envelope. After making it I reaslized I needed the size so the slit wouldn't tear. When I finally send it out I hope the receiver is gentle! LOL Still pending at 10 am EST

So much fun. Haven't participated in a while but this challenge really got me going. Used a craft knife to cut out part of a leaf to use as a closure.

Talking My Best Ever Work

Just uploaded two cards for this challenge which are the best work I have ever done (IMHO). Took a long time but I am so happy with how they turned out. This card shape & closure idea reminded me of a wooden crate, so I attempted a faux wood crate (would have been a lot easier if I had the Weathered BG). Farm Fresh just lent itself to the whole theme.

Thanks to everyone (Daven, moderators, card sketchers-especially AndreaSophie) who puts together these challenges to help people like me with getting the creative juices flowing.

Well, I finally got around to working on this sketch. I kept putting it off because I just wasn't quite sure how to proceed. But tonight, I just made myself get in my stampin room and give it a try. I hope I did it correctly.
I didn't scan the card behind the outside card, but I did describe what I placed inside the flap part. I hope I did it correctly, but even if I didn't, it still works for me. Thanks for this challenge Beth...it took me awhile, but I finally got my brain in gear and got it done.
Here is the card:
