Changed this up a little. I love this chalkboard idea because it will be so easy to personalize. The size could also easily be adapted for a scrapbook page topper.
I have posted my attempt at the challenge. It was the first long and slender card that I have made, and I found it "out of my safety zone" but imagine it was good for me to try something new.
I haven't done a sketch in so long!! I guess I got inspired by this one, even though I folded it wrong on my first try (got 3 1/8 x 7 accidentally), but figured it out before I permanently attached anything, and made a new one!
Here is my first one, also the WT challenge this week:

This is my "Little Tall Card". I did faux stitching for the 1st time. I have always been afraid I would mess it up so I just haven't done it unitl now. Rox, I love this card size!

I really enjoyed this one as I just happened to buy a box of these size envelopes at Wally-world. I didn't really stamp on my sample, just used some of my handmade papers made at a workshop at my house last week.
Two kinds of handmade papers on this one. The rose is a hand cast paper press medallion...my absolute favorite of my clay molds for papermaking. The left side of the card is a flat sheet of handmade paper using the Arnold Grummer paper making kit and using the dip method.
I finally got around to trying this size card after my stamp set and envelope template arrived yesterday. I love this size! Thanks for a great challenge. I turned the card horizontally in stead of vertically. Does that make it a "short" long card instead of a "small" tall card!? LOL!
Here is a second one that I did...
What fun cards these are to do....
Used my favorite set & watercolored... it didn't qualify for the WT51 becase I used patterned paper for the BG. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=28686

Here's my take on this challenge, I made this card for Duke to give to his favorite bus driver for mother's day.
