***************************** What is the Sketch Challenge: in Andrea’s words from SC08 (Andrea is the founder of the challenge): "You take the sketch I provided and use any stamp set, any accessory, and any kind of paper to make a card. So all of the cards have the same basic layout, but they all look very different." -It is fine to flip the sketch, change panel sizes, shapes, card size and border as you wish (unless stated in the write up for the week), a little tweaking is fine but let’s see those main elements of the posted layout please. (The numbers and colors are requested from players so it's easier to read the layout, it means nothing towards colors used or number of borders when creating your project.)
I’m not sure what size Dawn’s card is but I designed the layout to have 3/4" cut off the card base to allow for the over hanging fan panel which keeps the size 4.25 x 5.5”, our normal size that fits into an A2 sized envelope.
I suggest if using designer paper for the fan to mount it on cardstock for stability.
I printed the layout and let it be my guide for placement of the panels, it sure helped keep it the correct width and easier than the ruler.
I hope you give the layout a try and enjoy your stamping time!
dawmercedes (at post time...it's Dawn's birthday, happy birthday to you!!!) I didn't know this when I picked the layout so that was just good timing!
DawnL (I also ask Dawn if she would make a second example, thanks Dawn!)
You can find measurements in my card description linked in post #2. Open the link and they will be at the top of the description. OR The attachment will print out to actual size of an A2 card for most computers. A2 is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.
Printing directions are in the Master Thread linked above.
Printing the sketch then cutting out the fan section to use as a pattern made what first looked difficult actually very easy. Here's my SUNFLOWER CARD.

Fun...and different....sketch, Roxie. I don't think that I've ever made a card with so much "hanging off the edge", but it has a distinctive look. I'll certainly use it again. Thanks!
