It's been a long time since I've been able to participate in the challenges, so here's my attempts. Wouldn't you know it, I can finally do this, and make 2, with the gallery down.

Hey, it worked!!

These challenges are making me try things I'd have never tried. This evening I made my first paintchip card (combined with sketch challenge 16). The gallery will go mad whenever it comes back. I now have 5 cards waiting to be uploaded. Will post again when it's in the gallery. I had fun. Thanks for challenging me! It makes stamping more fun.

OK - I made one (combined with TLC07 - paintchip) but now it's awaiting the gallery's return so I can upload. Will post again when I've uploaded. Thanks - these challenges are great fun and just give me the little boost I need to get started.

I will do one tomorrow. Thank you all for attaching your cards. I have been going through withdrawals too...it is sooooooooo good to see someone else's cards.
I can't wait for the gallery to be up. But it is cool to see your cards here. They are all great.

I love all your cards you have attached as Thumbnails... I am working madly on mine.. I didnt know it was a window card either as I couldnt get to the gallery to see it before it went down, and I dont think i will do mine as a window card but will layer..

I want to say I think it is a wonderful idea to post the thumbnails here in the forum thread to show your card rather than the link to it in the gallery. We can get a much quicker look at it this way, although once the new gallery is fixed and running maybe it wont take as long to load. I still like the thumbnail idea though for a quick look. We could do both though.

Here's mine. It's not what I started out with but that's ok. The butterflies are stamped on a window sheet and colored in on the back with lumiere mixed with pearl ex. So when you open the card the butterflies go with it and all you can see on the inside is the paper underneath. My plan was to have flowers under the butterflies so it looked like the butterflies were on top of the flowers and when you opened it up all you could see were the flowers. However, with all those small butterflies and the small flowers it was too busy and you couldn't see much of anything. Maybe if I get some time I'll see if I have a larger type of flower that I can put behind there maybe that would look better? Anyway, since the gallery is down, I'll attach the card for now and upload later.

Ok, I took some time off from staring at the card and then something comes to me. I'm much more pleased with this version. The butterflies are still on the window sheet and it allows you to see the tulips and the clouds underneath it. When you open the card you just see the flowers and the clouds.

I even managed to "save" the first card instead of remaking it by "erasing" some of the butterflies from the top of the sheet using rubbing alcohol (I used staz-on ink) and then chipping the lumiere off of the back.

So here's try no. 2!

Edited to add link to gallery: (same card just in gallery now )

Here is my card for this challenge. I am stuck on the brick thing. I will be glad when the gallery is up. I NEED some more inspiration!!! I have also had to make a couple of birthday cards for men so this is influencing my color choices too.
I did my brick background and then ran the Fine Foliage wheel over it and I think it looks like it has vines growing on it. I also painted my flower stamp with H2O and stamped on paper a couple times to make the demensional flower. Kind of interesting, I think. I wanted to play around with it and see what it would do as someone else mentioned doing this. Thanks for the idea.

OKay, here's one with a window. My demo dropped off my last order today, which included Cool Cat, so naturally I had to play with that one right away. I used a Lego for the brick facade, then sponged in more color. Used the crimper on the shutters. Colored and cut out the window box from "Love Ya Bunches" (had to reattach a couple of flower heads..oops), then used long grasses from one of the stamps in "Summer By The Sea" along the base of the building.

Sherlie~ Love the way the vine looks against the bricks on your card!

Heather, did you stamp with the lego or just outline it??? Your brick facade looks so real. I love it?

Thanks Bonnie!

I actually used the bottom of a Lego just like it was a stamp, and used a ruler to keep the lines somewhat straight. I did notice, though, that some Legos have a circle in the middle of the base, so it's important to flip it over and make sure you're not going to get a dot in the center of your bricks. Had to discard one Lego and choose another because of this (but at least I noticed it before I started stamping). I just got the Ruby Red today and it is the perfect color for bricks. Wish I'd ordered that one much sooner!

Here's my submission, a little tweaked. I also used this week's color challenge. I forgot we could attach thumbnails here in the Forums. I got this done the night before the Gallery went down -- talk about withdrawals, LOL!

Oops -- couldn't tell it was a window card from the sketch -- sorry! Here are my submissions, finally uploaded in the gallery!

Finally uploaded my attempts at this wek's challenge. I'm afarid that I also didn't realize that the sketch was actually a window card.
I combined them with TLC07 (paintchips).
Thanks for helping me 'step out of the box' - it really makes stamping much more fun (and challenging!!):

What a fabulous idea. With 2 DS we have a HUGE box full of Legos. Now I can play too!

Finaly getting mine in. I found some really cool vinatge photos to use on art-e-zine and thought this would be a good layout for this particular one. It's reduced in publisher and printed on regular paper.

Default Sc16 missing.

I had a sc16 challange card all ready done. I showed it to a friend of mine and she kidnapped my card before I could take a picture. I will try to get another one done today. The one I made was done on real red paper. The rectangle on the side was layed Black bottom layer with red fuzzy fiber wrapped around it in kind of a hap hazzard pattern. Real Red second layer and white natural top layer with lazy lady bugs walking around on it. The real red card background was versamarked with a spatter pattern. I know you probably cant get a good picture in your imagination of this. Because I haven't described it well. I also have a mini composition notebook that I did the same way. As soon as I get a picture of that I will post that. In the mean time I will try to make another card for the challange.

Congrats! now let's get that link so we can all see it

First, go to your gallery and select the card you want to link. You should be on the page where you only see that one card of yours. Then go to the address bar and hightlight the entire address, then right click on your mouse and scroll down to select copy.

Next, go the thread where you want to place the link and pick post reply. Once in the reply window right click again. Except this time select paste. Voila, there's your link
