I did it! My first sketch challenge! It was a lot of fun. My first attempt I didn't like (too many layers of pattern paper and not enough focus on the small panel). I love my little brown starfish and I do realize that starfish are not brown... however,I think they are cute!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If you’ve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me :)
This was a great challenge. I really never thought of using my wheel as a main image. I thought it would only be a border or background. Very cool things come out of these challenges. Here is my second attempt using same image but combining it with WT114. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=46645
My submission for this week. Great choice Roxie. Very versatile for small stamps or wheels or borders. The size of the main image may be off a hair, but the general concept is there. Hope it still qualifies.
I'm new to the challenges, and I wasn't sure if turning the sketch sideways was 'legal' or not..?? plus... i think my measurement is off a bit.
soooo.... anyway.. I used my cuddlebug for the embossed white background, and used my new Cricut machine for the word 'thanks'; added a bit of ribbon and punched the corners of the saffron cardstock. easy peasy!
Here is my card for this sketch. Sorry it is so late. I combined it with the cc127 color challenge. This was a simple and fun sketch. I liked it alot. Thanks for looking. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=84551
