This was definitely a challenge, but I like it. The picture isn't the best, but I don't have it anymore so can't reshoot. Oh well, should have looked before sending...lol.

So Grateful Doodle That

Sometimes it is funny how the brain works. I haven't looked at the SC's for a real long time. Worked up this card tonight and uploaded it. Then I thought hey, I should look at the SC's and see if I can get a little more inspiration for another card. It was really weird how close the layout was between the SC and the card I created tonight. So, I thought, 'what the heck', it's close enough. It just needed the little square to the side and I decided I didn't want to do that!

SC124 Wild West Cowboy

I forgot to add that one of the stamps use on the card is Swirly Gigs from TAC. I used it as the background inked with Versa mark ink.

I thought I should get this done and in before Rox posts the next challenge. I used todays color challenge to finally make this card work. I have been playing with it all week but with different colors ... I like how this one finally turned out.

Roxie said in her post that you could print out the sketch and use it as a template. I did it the hard way....I cut my paper to 4" x 5 1/4". Then I took my ruler and made little marks 1/2" in from the top and bottom of the left side. Then I made marks on the right side 1.5" in from the top and bottom. Make sense yet?
Then I made diagonal cuts across the paper to the marks opposite each other. While doing the 2nd cut, I had to hold the paper together, but that gave me the 2 triangles. I hope that helps...I haven't had coffee yet...

If your computer won't print it out to size, check out challenge 109 (you'll find a link in the master thread which is linked in the opening post of this challenge.)
It has a visual on cutting angles with the difference being you'll have two cuts after your first since you end up cutting that piece in half.

Feel free to PM me if you have further questions.

This is exactly what I did the first time. The second time i cut the scrapbook paper 3 3/4" x 5", made the same measurements on both sides (except on the right side came 1 1/4" from top and bottom), and drew lines on the back connecting the marks (makes the X) Then cut apart, and matted 1/8" bigger on the long sides only. There is a slight overlap where the two triangles meet, but that will be covered up. This works best if you put them on a layer that is cut 4 x 5 1/4" and placed on a regular sized card base.

If you don't want the bulk, just cut the pieces with scissors, it doesn't have to be straight because it won't be seen.

Thanks ladies for all the extra tips!

I posted this in the wrong thread accidentally and don't know how to delete it. This is actually for SC125. Sorry!
I am a day behind but wanted to go ahead and make a card for this challenge. I like this layout a lot. So quick and easy. Great challenge Roxie.

You could definitely do this. I didn't worry about it since I attached my focal piece with dimensionals.

Here is my attempt. Front Panel Inside Panel

My card size is a square, 5 1/4 x 5 1/4, so had to change the template a bit. I have been wanting to do this since it first came out (believe me, 2 weeks later is quick for me!!). Thanks for looking!!
