This Week:

This week’s layout is one I saw on contest cards I’m recycling for Keiki and I thought you might enjoy the layout. So I was off to the gallery and I found some great examples. So let’s pull out the designer paper, or create our own backgrounds again and have some fun.

Here's what I did for measurements:
My paper panel is cut the same size as the card front minus ” on one side. The fold up is 5/8” on the right side, 1 ” on the left side. These are just to help you and can be changed.

Pay close attention to the right corner on the fold up and choose what works best for you, over the card front edge…or not.

I haven't been able to participate in a challenge in a while so while I was up late making some other cards, I checked in on the challenge before turning in for the night and spotted this great sketch. I threw something together with the CS and Ink Pads I had out. Not to happy with my work but this sketch makes me want to try again soon.

Here it is: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...5161&nocache=1

I am becoming addicted to these challenges. We are leaving in a little bit, so rushed this card for a grandson's 18th b'day - he likes to hunt.

Judy Tulloch 11-01-2006 03:56 AM

Thanks for another fun challenge Roxi. I can't believe I made a card that will only require one .39 stamp to mail... No bulk, no embellishments! Not like me lately! I still like how it turned out.

Vicky Gould 11-01-2006 03:59 AM

Here Comes Santa

I really like this sketch and hope to get to do another -- after the housework finally gets done! Hope you like it too.

Fun challenge Rox!
I'll have to get at it after work. :D

papermoon04 11-01-2006 05:20 AM

I love this layout Roxie! I used the dimensions as posted, but cut it down a bit more than 1/4" so the base color framed the folded layer a little.

imastampin 11-01-2006 05:30 AM

I was inspired by many cards to come up with this one. Great sketch, Rox.
