If you have extra cards and want to make a difference you can. I have just begun to supply an independent care to nursing needed facility with cards. Many of the residents cannot get out to get cards but still would like to give them to family and friends. I'm also adding The Cleveland Ronald McDonald House who provide cards for families in the facility to use, Splitcoaststampers Cards For A Cause, and Hospice of St Francis who can use birthday cards.
If you are interested in donating some cards, pm me for my addy.
Thank you so much for considering this.
Sue
I just sent some off to the troops, but please keep this thread (?) open, as I had a hard time finding someone to send them off to, believe it or not. a nursing home is a great idea. Please send me the addr. anyway, I will keep it on hand. I thought that SCS had a "cards for causes" thing started a while back, a different place each month, but all I could find was the troops, which is a great cause also. Gin
I know my mother sent some cards off to you and two of my sisters have some to also send. Hoping you are getting lots of cards for this project. Hugs, Kheila
Cards are still needed. So if anyone has cards that need a home, I'd truly be grateful and so would the residents. They can't believe they are getting cards from people they don't even know so they can use them. God is great the way He works, isn't He?
Ladies, I never dreamed when I started this two years ago that I'd have such generous giving ladies. To date, almost 1,000 cards have been donated! Praise God for such an unbelievable response!
Are you still collecting cards? If so let me know what types you are in need of and I
can probably send you some in the near future. Send me address where to mail them also
Love helping out the kids and elderly. Thanks, Deb Pollock.....Wisconsin
I have a stack of cards sitting here and I was wondering what to do with them. I didn't make them all, some I got in swaps. Do you still need cards, and if so send me an address. Also let me know what kind of cards are ok. I have the whole range: thank you, thinking of you, happy birthday, sympathy, get well, wedding, friendship, encouragement, holiday, etc....
My supply is beginning to replenish! I will let you know if I get another pile of them, and I will try to remember to stamp inside the cards too. I know I leave them blank a lot of time so they can be personalized as needed.
Do you take holiday cards, like Halloween? I have a beauty I got in a swap, but I don't send Halloween cards. It's a little late to ask for this year, but just checking so I know the types of cards you are looking for overall.
There is a nursing/rehab place in my small town. So many of the residents have no family so no one visits and no mail. I'd love to take some cards over.
You're welcome. We have about six inches now. DS came and plowed the driveway. I wanted to go to a LSS today because she just got some cheery lynn dies in, but I wasn't running out in this weather.
I've got so many cards, I love to make them, but I'm really running out of things to do with them. I don't know what pm means, I'm really not tech savvy, so is there any other way I could get your addy to send some cards to you?

PM is Private Message. You just click on the little envelope at the top right of your screen, choose "send a new message" on the left hand side about half way down, type in "bensarmom" in the recipient's box, and type your message and submit! If you receive a reply, you will see a little number next to that envelope and you can click on it to go in and read it in your inbox!
I would take cards to the nursing home/rehab place in my town. If anyone has extra cards, envelopes not needed. There are several residents w/o family so they don't receive mail or visitors. You can PM me and I can give you my address.
