Thanks to Eskabeeble for your box of cards that arrived yesterday - that was a surprise! I showed them to my SIL who's staying with us for 2 weeks - she was impressed.

I will do a card total update after she leaves.

Thanks again!!

So my SIL left early this morning - we were all sad to see her leave. Now it's back to reality of getting caught up with laundry, cleaning and card totals!

We are now at 3,857. Thanks again for all the contributors.

Have a beautiful weekend!! I love the fall colors, hope you do too.

I just started making cards for this purpose, so I'm happy to know that I have a place to support our Canadian troops.

Just so you know, I'm coming to the close of this project. Don't know if someone will be taking it over. I do have a website of someone doing a similar thing but with stricter guidelines. I'll post it once I connect with them to get permission.

So...if you're sending cards, send them ASAP! Thanks.

I finally got to sorting the last few batches of cards.

Our card total sits at 4,124!!

I'm expecting a couple of last minute packages, but other than that we're pretty much done.

If you're interested in continuing to send cards I have a possible website. Send me a message and I'll give you the link.

Thanks to everyone for contributing!!

I will be taking the last batch of cards to the Edmonton Garrison next week. She told me that this latest shipment will get them through to the end of the Afghan mission! Isn't that awesome?!?!?

In total over the 4 years that this project has been going on we sent 24,578 cards. That is mind boggling to me. Thanks to each and every one of you for contributing.

If you want to continue to make cards, here is a new contact for you (she gave me permission to put the website here).

Cards for Canadian Soldiers

I will miss being in contact with many of you as you sent cards on a regular basis. I hope that just because I've wrapped up my part, you will all find new ways to "pay it forward".

The shipment went in this morning. They are very grateful for all we have done for them.

I did get another few cards in, so 2010's card total is 4,152. The total over the 4 years is 24,606!!

Thanks again, everyone.

Remember the website from the post previous - she would love it if you helped her out with her project now.

Hello all!

I'm such a dope - I had the wrong link up for the Cards for Canadian Soldiers website.

Here's the proper one now - she's got the next session up, plus some photos.

Default Is this still valid?

Hello Carolyn:

Just wondering if you still have contact with Cards for Canadian Soliders? I tried to send them an e-mail and it continues to be returned to me.
If you have an alternative e-mail address, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance

This is the e-mail she's using to send me information - is it different than what you have?

cardsforcanadiansoldiers@live.ca

Here's an update she sent me as well:

Sorry for the inconvenience concerning the cardsforcanadiansoldiers.webs.com website.
The server wasn't letting me log in for awhile.
I've completely updated the website with a few new pictures and new session dates.

ALSO, we've sent out a total of 881 cards so far. Great job everyone! I greatly appreciate your dedication.
