Thank you! All I ask is that you read the guidelines carefully and be sure each card has an envelop and is in a bag. I have rec'd multiple boxes recently that are either not in baggies, don't have envelopes, aren't finished cards....I can't and don't have time to finish and fix all those....and I am running out of places to just drop off locally so they are sitting in the garage until I have the heart to toss them or can find someone to put them to good use and it's a real shame. I am a one woman operation on this end and I am not sure people realize that the reason the guidelines are there is so that I can continue to do this. I have in recent months had to consider stopping it but then I get a note from a soldier downrange about how thankful they were to get the cards and I figure I will keep going and doing it! LOL

I appreciate all of you who put so much love and dedication into sending cards!!!

Lightbulb Quick & easy

I have been buying the packaged sets of cards & envelopes on sale at craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Jo-Anns so that I always have envelopes to match. Any card fronts I have can then be easily added, or new cards made from scratch quickly. I also stamp a small piece of paper with the sentiment inside, if any. I watch for inexpensive zip-style baggies on sale, and keep a stash of those in my craft area. If I remember, I bag cards for this project right after I make them; if not, it is a quick in-front-of-the-tv activity to bag them all before sending to Keri. I add in the 'sentiment inside' paper in the back, by the envelope, facing out so it can be seen by the troops.

I have attached the file I use for the 'sentiment inside' sheets. I print it out and cut it up so I have a stack of them always ready. (Not done in perfect MSWord style, but I would rather spend time crafting than fussing with Word.)

Keri, thank you so very much for all that you do for our troops! Wish I lived close so I could help- you do an amazing job! And I appreciate that it is relatively easy to send you cards- not as much paperwork as other groups, so hopefully people will do their part to help you keep it simple!

I can fill about 2 flat-rate boxes with cards. I'll get these out to you soon! Thanks for all you do!

Hi Keri -- Sounds like a great stamp group project for an afternoon to work on those cards and get them all ship-ready! Maybe you can find a bunch of them in your area to meet up for an afternoon of it?

My son just joined the Army this year so I'm hoping to work on some cards for you too if you are still doing this!
