Quick & easy
I have been buying the packaged sets of cards & envelopes on sale at craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Jo-Anns so that I always have envelopes to match. Any card fronts I have can then be easily added, or new cards made from scratch quickly. I also stamp a small piece of paper with the sentiment inside, if any. I watch for inexpensive zip-style baggies on sale, and keep a stash of those in my craft area. If I remember, I bag cards for this project right after I make them; if not, it is a quick in-front-of-the-tv activity to bag them all before sending to Keri. I add in the 'sentiment inside' paper in the back, by the envelope, facing out so it can be seen by the troops.
I have attached the file I use for the 'sentiment inside' sheets. I print it out and cut it up so I have a stack of them always ready. (Not done in perfect MSWord style, but I would rather spend time crafting than fussing with Word.)
Keri, thank you so very much for all that you do for our troops! Wish I lived close so I could help- you do an amazing job! And I appreciate that it is relatively easy to send you cards- not as much paperwork as other groups, so hopefully people will do their part to help you keep it simple!
