Congratulations! I hope you love it as much as I do!
I miss having a little extra money, but have rationalized all the money I'm saving by NOT working. And there is a lot of truth to that.
I worked in an office as an executive assistant, and needed to dress up for work. Suits, shoes, purses, etc. No longer needed. Now it's weekend comfy clothes every day.
When I worked, I really looked forward to a break and lunch out every day. $$. Now it's PBJ and an apple, if I remember to stop and eat, lol.
No more picking up dinner to go on the way home because I'm too worn out to cook. I've found I enjoy cooking, when I have time to plan ahead and do it.
The thing I most love about being retired is not having to set my alarm clock to wake up so early every day. I'm a night owl at heart, and if I'm making cards at midnight, or reading until the wee hours, woo hoo. No problem.

Not only that!
No more office politics, stupid policies, and 'certain' people.
I LOVE being able to have my coffee on my patio in the morning. . . being able to march to the beat of MY drummer. . . feeling creative because I'm NOT exhausted . . . afternoon naps . . . off season travel . . .
Congratulations on your retirement! I always say that I'm gonna retire when I grow up...and at the rate I'm going, it'll never happen.
