Good to hear from you too!! Sort of got lost here in Italy off the threads.
Glad you got hold of the book. Just finished New Moon again...Ahhh, I agree, life is so unfair!!

No, it's not exactly like the book, and the acting is not the best, but it grows on you...I mean...how bad can it be to watch Rob Pattinson for a couple hours??

I just hope he is not the bad actor. i actually ( caution: serious insanity to follow) watched harry potter 4 to see him!!! *heavy sigh* I hear no one thinks the guy who plays Jacob Black is any good. must be a serious time difference, I only talk to people in the middle of the night!

Jacob's part in Twilight are quite small actually and I was one who actually did like Taylor Lautner. Rob Pattinson makes fun of his own acting ability in interviews I have watched online, but I liked the movie anyway, so did my teenage girls.

That's funny, because he was the first one whose acting abilities I cringed at when I first saw the movie. I think part of it is that he seems to have to try too hard to get the accent right. Anyway, after a few viewings, I got over it, and he definitely has his moments. I liked Jacob in Twilight. Even though his part was small, I thought he did pretty well.

Tia...that's funny about HP4...I've been meaning to rewatch it myself for the same reason. I think I'll wait until DH leaves - give me something to look forward to. He's been sooo good about indulging my obsession. He's at the mall now killing time while our car gets maintenance. He just called to let me know he got me something "Twilight." I had him try to hunt down a calendar for you, but the salespeople just laughed at him. I guess they were long gone. Then he told me they had one life-size cardboard cut-out left of Edward and jokingly asked me if I wanted it...uhhh, yeah ...don't think he'll go that far, though!!

thanks for thinking of me!!
heard from a friend they will be shooting in Vulturi in the spring here, maybe March? It's near Florence, maybe 5 hours? Anyone want to come ? you can crash at my place!! I will get you post cards.
ok, just saw the movie....I think it was so awesome, but i am not sure because 'team Edward' was screaming too much. It was like a low rent Tim Burton movie. Just so you know, I am switching to team Jasper. What a hottie. I am going to volunteer to be their stunt driver, they have some wicked cars.
i thought This Jacob was pretty good.Still not 6'5'', but the magic of hollywood.
I loved the scenery!!I could take the rain for those veiws.
My favorite part was the graduation cap art. all in all...yummy.

some of the video interviews I watched of RP talking about his acting skills..LOL he was more concerned with his facial expressions than his American accent.
I laughed out loud at the way he described his own faults...I think the second movie will show us more quality in all areas. I at least hope so anyway...LOL

LOL...I forgot about the facial expressions. Yeah, some of those were pretty funny - and I don't think they were meant to be. You'll have to hook me up with some of those interviews, Dorinda. I just get so overwhelmed surfing the web for that stuff.

Oh...Tia...I will be soooo jealous if you get to crash the set of New Moon...especially the Volterra scenes. BTW, dear, dear DH brought home a Twilight tote bag and book mark from the mall today for me. What a sweetie.

Oh, and I loved that graduation cap scene too...

anyone can come to Italy ya know, Sarah. My DH is in DC looking for my calender. He says he's going to tell the clerk it's for his daughter.

LOL...When DH was in Hot Topic yesterday, the salesperson told him he might want to wait to shop because they would be coming out with twilight/Valentine themed merchandise soon. Will it never end? I guess they know all of us addicts will be eating it up and they can make a boatload of $$!

Welcome Dina!! I was thrilled to find this thread too. It's nice to have all my addictions in one place.

Yeah...Bella's not exactly my idea of a strong woman...I wouldn't let my DD read the books, but they're fun for well-adjusted adults...Or maybe not so well-adjusted...hmmm

You have some company on the Team Jasper. My daughter is in love with him! LOL! My DIL gave her a pink Team Jasper t-shirt for Christmas. And, actually, I'm a Team Jacob.

I wouldn't turn Edward away if he showed up, but I think I fell in love with Jaspers character just a little in breaking dawn. I really enjoyed Edwards insights on the characters in the first part of Midnight Sun.
yeah, Edwards struggles and emotions seem so much deeper.More, grown up.His struggles are harder, his loathing the idea of 'killing' Bella against his love and his desperation not to be alone for eternity. made me crazy reading that...

In reference to what someone said about Twilight valentine merchandise, if they come out with a box of twilight valentines (you know the kind for kids) they would be great to buy and use on the front of our cards! LOL! I can just see me buying multiple boxes of kids valentine cards! LOL!

Ohhh, that would be great!! I am in twilight swap so I might have to hold out for those. Of course, then I'd have to buy a box to trade and a box to keep.

Tia...I really, really, really, hope Stephenie finishes Midnight Sun!!

I know...but it is so much fun, how can it be wrong? Besides, a good healthy obsession is great motivation. i lost 6lbs last week because I couldn't be bothered to eat when i was reading.

ok, off the book, but did you know that Rob Pattinson wrote and sang 2 songs on the soundtrack! He sings like Van Morrison! such a mature voice for a 25 year old. I am learning that song Never think on my guitar. If anyone finds the sheet music or a transposition, let me know, I suck at doing it myself.

Hey ladies I am back! I have been away for a week or so (it feels more like a month) and I am so glad to get caught up on all the news on this series....I LOVE THAT THEY ARE KEEPING JACOB!!!!
Plus, I NEED that DVD NOW...lol!!
I have the Twilight soundtrack and I LOVE IT that music is right up my alley!! I love Paramore and Blue Foundation...and everyone else on that soundtrack! Roberts songs are pretty good. I wasn't expecting him to sound like that but I REALLY do LIKE his sound!

And I never did mention this but I am TEAM EDWARD...all the way! Robert is sooo yummy to look at!!

THANK YOU LADIES for feeding my obsession...keep it coming!!

Entertainment Tonight just reported that Vanessa Hutchins (High School Musical) auditioned for a part in New Moon. Who do you think she auditioned for? Maybe Emily... Sam's imprint? Or Leah? I can't remember if Leah is in New Moon, or if she comes in later in the series.
