Yep! We're big Twihards here in Austin,TX. I belong to a Twilight book club.

And we're getting together with another Twilight group on Thursday for a party at the theatre before Part II.

I'm going with my SIL and niece.

Two of my friends are doing the marathon at a local theater today--all of the movies back-to-back, culminating with a 10pm showing of the newest one. I couldn't handle sitting in a theater that long, not to mention how expensive it's going to be havign to eat at concessions all day. Luckily, I know they will want to see it again, and that's when a couple other friends and I will go.

I would have gone to the marathon but we already had our tickets before any Twilight marathons had been announced.

I did see Taylor Lautner on a late night talk show say that they're going to have pictures from all the movies at the end of Part II

I never did make it to the theater to see BD 2 and just got the DVD this weekend. I watched the first 4 again and then FINALLY BD 2 - it was pretty awesome! Definitely renewed my obsession w/ all things Twilight.

I need to reread the books - I didn't remember the big fight as just being a vision that Alice showed Aro.

Actually, there was no big fight at the end. Breaking Dawn was my least favorite of the books -- mainly because everything was building up to a confrontation between the Cullens and the Volturi. I think that was the case of a lot of people, so the movie people decided to ramp it up a bit. I was much happier with the end of the movie than the end of the book.

. . . everything was building up to a confrontation between the Cullens and the Volturi . . . AND THEN NOTHING HAPPENED!

I agree, the ending in the book was rather anti-climactic. I liked Alice's vision of how things could be if they went to war, as shown in the movie.
