Wow. Today I noticed Unity Stamp Co. is doing their own Twilight Challenge. Here's the link: TWILIGHT Challenge POST HERE!
This week's Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge is "Who's team are you on?" Which was inspired originally after the "My vampire can beat your werewolf" stamp I bought about 3 weeks ago from Unity. Remember?
So if you want to play along, be sure to enter both challenges! Unity is giving away some goodies too. And, in case you don't remember, I did buy that stamp for each of my giveaways!
Thanks for the heads up on the Unity challenge. I may just have to check that out!

Hi fellow Twilighters! Wanna combine your 2 loves...stamping & Twilight? Check out my siggy! I've yet to upload my Twilight creations...so I'll be coming back here to chat it up and share!
15 days and counting, I can't wait. I picked up the soundtrack yesterday and I really like it. Bella's Lullaby is a little weird, but focusing only on the piano it's not so bad; and I'm sure it will make a lot more sense in the conext of the film. Could that Rob Pattinson be anymore massively talented?
Hey ladies, sorry to jump in here so late as I'm sure my question has already been answered (I just haven't gone back on the previous posts to find out). I love, love, love this series and am so going to see the movie, but therein lies my question. I'm just about half way thru the third book...do i need to have it finished before the movie, or is the movie just based on the first book? I have the forth one sitting there waiting for me to get to it...so much to do, so little time! Thanks for your help ladies!!!! Oh and I'm all about Team Edward!
lou3lou- the movie encompasses the first book only, so, no you don't need to be fininshed with Eclipse, take your time and enjoy it and Breaking Dawn. And keep your fingers crossed Twilight does really well at the box office so they'll make the rest into movies.

Reason: added info.
Thanks Maureen, that is what I thought, but just had to know for sure! I will be done Eclipse just not sure about the 4th one yet. I hope it does well, I can't wait!
Welcome to the new contributors on this thread!! I'm so excited to see the new readers of the book out there! Oh! I remember the "first time" experience! It's absolutely awesome!!! I love it!!
Make sure ya'll check out the gallery...if you search the keywords TTIC1, TTIC2, TTIC3, TTIC4, TTIC5, and TTIC6 you can see what we've made so far.
I'm a relatively new-comer to the Twilight series -- although I'm already in the midst of Book 3. I am thoroughly enjoying them.
I mentioned to my friend today that Rob Pattinson had played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies. And the thought occurred to me -- maybe when you get killed by Lord Voldemort, you turn into a vampire!
I just wanted to let you know that if you have iTunes - they have a free excerpt from the book. It sounds like it could be the first couple of chapters of Twilight. It is about 40 minutes long.
I picked up book one last weekend totally for the purpose of reading the book for approval for my 14 yo dd. Someone mentioned that it was a love story so I needed to make sure it was NOT too detailed or graphic. Somehow...........I got so engrossed in the reading that I am hooked, too. I got book two the other day.
The odd thing..........I never read any Anne Rice. I am not into Vampire or horror stuff at all, but the plot is so everyday. A truly different perspective.
Someone must let me know if the material does get too involved in the other books for my 14 yo dd. I am going to keep reading, but it will help to let her know in advance. TIA!!!!!
I personally would be totally ok letting a 14 year old read all of the books. Nothing 'happens' between them sexually until book 4 and I can't say much more without giving anything away but they don't talk about any details or anything.

My 14 year old has read them all and encouraged me to read them, too! I think they are totally appropriate for 14 year olds, they are written by an author that doesn't believe in pre-marital sex, if that helps you at all? My daughter didn't like it when Bella got married, she wanted her to stay single, kind of like Bella herself!

I just finished Breaking Dawn. Awesome series. I saw at the back of the book that coming December 30 is The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide. That sounds rather interesting.

Bella gets married? I am only on book 2....finally at the halfway point b/c the first part was sort of slow to me. I like Jake and all, but not like Edward...kwim.
Thanks for the info about the author being against PMS...lol!!!! That helps.....and knowing that Bella does get married.
Lois.......... you a Twilight girl, too? WooHoo!!!! The Official Guide? Hmmmm....did it say it was another story or a guide for reading groups? I noticed that the book has reading guide questions at the back.

Yes, I'm late to the party; but I am definitely a Twilight girl. And I think I might be a Team Jacob member! I really liked him. As far as The Official Guide, from what I read it didn't appear to be another story. It said something about genealogy. So I think it might be filling out the original stories.
Hi Tessa! You are SO not alone! I read the books that quickly as well. Are you planning to see the movie?
ABSOLUTELY! I usually wait for movies to come out on DVD but not this one! Hubby and I are going to see it Thanksgiving since his parents will be here to watch boys!
Same here, Tessa -- I'm all about my Netflix, but there is no way that I can hold out that long for Twilight! I'm going on Friday afternoon. It's sure to be crowded then, but that might add to the excitement!

Tessa, I have the exact same feeling -- there IS another team?! What?!
Do you know about the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenges? Tonya, aka stampvamp, who posts on this thread also, does them; here's a link to her blog, where you can get the details. Maybe you can play along!
One of the recent themes for the challenge was "Whose Team Are You On," and this is my card -- I thought you'd like the message on the little tag!

I just learned of the Twilight Tuesday challenges and am working on them as part of my Twilight countdown on my blog this week! so far I have finished Alice And the Meadow - working on Which team!
for some reason I've missed a lot of updates on this post!! Where did my email alerts go???
Cobrielle/Jen...congrats on the weight loss!! And I enjoyed reading your vamp werewolf comments. Funny about your hubby!!
For those discussing the PMS (and premenstrual..)...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I also began reading this series to determine it's "suitability" and I was absolutely stunned by its appropriateness. In fact, we could use a good shot in the arm of this book's morality. Specifically Edward's.
Team Jacob members seem to be growing! I really hope we've not seen the last of Jacob. I think most of us like Jacob ("just not for Bella") and want to see his story continued. And that's all I'll say given that some have not read BD.
I appreciate the shout outs for TTIC! And just as a reminder: Eve posted here about her blog candy above and she'll be announcing her winner tomorrow so don't miss it! Another Twilight blog candy will be announced tomorrow on my site during TTIC. And finally, THE MAJOR PRIZES will be given away in 2 Tuesdays after the premiere so we can all discuss it and celebrate!!
Hi all - I just read Twilight for the first time this weekend. Did you all know that Edward's version of Twilight is called Midnight Sun and Stephenie Meyer put a draft version of this on her website? Apparently it was posted illegally on the internet and she posted it on her website so people didn't go crazy with it. It's interesting to see what Edward was thinking. I've ordered New Moon already and can't wait for it to come in!
