I hate music on a blog or any website for that matter. Give me the option to play it if I want but don't let it automatically start. I am very particular about the music I listen to. And besides it gets me in trouble if I decide to surf at work and forget to turn the volume down
I don't typically like slide shows either. They can take a long time to load and alot of times the images are wonky looking.
I guess I'm in the BIG minority...I love music on blogs and when I pop onto someones blog, the music they play gives me some insight into their personality. I LOVE blogs with pictures and tutorials and someone here has a musical tutorial (Aloha Friday I think it's called) that I love!!!
I put the feedjit tracker on mine because I really like to see where people are coming from when they visit my blog. No, it's not for the readers, more for me...
As for dislikes...I dislike too much family stuff on a crafting blog. Just personal information that I feel I'm invading on someone's family life. I understand it is difficult to maintain two blogs and that there are a lot of family members who visit blogs, but for a "non family member" I feel I'm intruding on some private stuff!
Since I am on a design team and love the products I use, I do gush sometimes...but I try to keep it at a minimum. I'm a stamping, paper and ribbon addicted crafter so my blog is full of a varitey of companies and projects...I try to keep gushing minimal.
I keep the speakers off on my computer unless there is something I *want* to listen to, so music on blogs doesn't bother me cuz I don't know it's there.....

Oh, another thing that keeps me from reading a blog is when I can't subscribe to the full version in my google reader. I realize that some of you big bloggers are trying to attract advertisers and need live clicks, but the blogs that get read by me every time they post are the ones I get delivered. If the project/card/topic interests me enough, I will click thru to the blog itself to comment, but as my blog time is limited, I only read the ones I can subscribe to AND get the photos in the feed. Sorry.

I voted for the music also. I don't mind it being there, but I prefer the music to be heard at my option, not automatically start playing.
One thing I'd like to add that I appreciate on blogs is that when they post a picture of their card/project, I click on it and get a larger view. Sometimes a picture is clickable, but it just brings up another picture the same size or even smaller than the original posted photo. Don't know how you set that up or if it's constrained by your blog host, but I love the up-close-and-personal view to see all your wonderful details.
So all you bloggers out there, expanded views are great!
