Help adding a button!

Help! I am trying to add a button to my blog. It's here:

My Craft Spot: You're invited!

I can get the button to show up as a blog post, but when I try to add it as a gadget, using the Picture gadget, I keep getting error messages.

Okay - go to the HTML view instead of the compose view, copy the HTML for the button, and add an HTML widget, not a picture widget
