Maggie, you WERE busy yesterday - and sounds like you accomplished a lot! Way to go!!!

I hear you on the teaching SS. I do it every week - I got the job "accidentally". Agreed to be the sub a couple of years ago and the teacher immediately got sick. (RAILROAD!!!) She was in the hospital for a week or two and then recovered at home. She's fine now... but after her health scare, she decided to RETIRE from teaching! EEK!!! I did NOT want to be full-time SS teacher of the oldest ladies of our church. I feel so inadequate. Therefore I study and study and STUDY each week... takes way too many hours! But I do love the ladies and I guess they love me, too, since none of them have agreed to replace me. We can't even get a sub for me............ I guess they're afraid of a similar RAILROAD experience. LOL! So when I can't be there - like next Sunday - we combine our class with the other women's SS class in our church.

Oh, and the surgery went VERY WELL!!! Much better than anyone had expected, in fact. A young man was having surgery to remove what the doctors were nearly certain was a malignant tumor in an ----------- ummmmmmmmmmmm ------ very delicate place. Instead, when they did the surgery, they discovered it was benign. So the tumor was removed but the delicacy is intact. PTL!

Whew, busy morning here! Took little man to boot camp class for black belt, dd19 wanted me to go with her (hold her hand!) to get her hair chopped off for locks of love DD17 to her friends as they are heading to the beach - did I mention today we have an artic freeze that came out of nowhere? Anyone venturing into the waves will be quite freezing, I'm sure! Now it's time to get dinner pre-made as we have to be back to the Karate class by 7 pm for testing. I still have to get cards made for another overdue swap

Maggie, did they catch the possum? Sounds like you had quite full day!! Your storage system sounds awesome! I love teaching Sunday School!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I love the little people I did adult Sunday School for awhile and confess I did not love it at all . It's different I hope yours goes well.

Jeanette, I missed the post entirely - I apologize! I do hope that this will be a time of healing and love and support. You guys sound like despite the Lord bringing you to your new home and parish under the circumstances He did, this is right where you are supposed to be. You seem like you all have fit in so nicely there! PTL!

Sending hugs to everyone!

Hi Kelly! I love your waving piggie! Sooooooooooo did your DD do okay with the haircut? Such a generous thing to do!!! Your day has been so busy, that I need a nap just reading about it. LOL!

We are where God wants us at this time! I'm sure of it. That being said, with DH's work, one never knows what the next venture will be. (Good thing I love moving!)

Did I miss something?? - no post from Darlene that I can see since last Monday...

Love this group =- Maggie I have read your post on facebook about your purse - that is scary - I like your reply Kelly about keeping your cards in a separate wallet/compartment.

Jeanette I am sure that life as a Pastor's Wife is never dull or quiet, from what I have observed. What a blessing for the young man to have that outcome from surgery.

We have been to church this morning, and now I have to cook dinner before I got out to the studio and make my second card for class this week, and then start the kits....

I've had a terrible, rotten, miserable, awful, afternoon!!!!!! Started out well with my trip to the hairdresser. She did my body wave and it turned out fabulous! I really like it - not curly, just wavy. We'll do color next Saturday. She said best not to do them both in the same day.

After I left there I went to the grocery store - the one I don't like which should have been a clue. Anyway, got all my shopping done and was checking out when I realized that my wallet was missing from my purse!!!!!! I was just dumbfounded because I knew it had been in there at the hairdresser since I had used my card, so I called her to see if I had left it there and it wasn't there. I went out and looked in my car to see if it had fallen out of my purse - nope, not there either. Back into the store to talk to the manager who called the HPD. It took that guy about 45 minutes to get there, but he finally showed up and I gave him all the information I had. I didn't see anyone or notice anyone near my cart as I was shopping so it was just a snatch and grab. He did say that they have security cameras around and that the HPD would probably look at those to see if they can see me and anyone near me at any time. They didn't stay at that store long because within 2 hours they had gone to IKEA and spent $973, some other food store, CVS, Home Depot, and I don't know where else.

When I got home I called the number to report the card as stolen and they put a block on it, then I called the main bank number which is in Lubbock and reported the card as stolen, so she went over the latest charges that were on the account and I told her which ones were legit and which were not mine. So Monday I need to call back and they will report the other ones as fraud. They have to wait until they actually post to the account before they can do that. The good thing is that I had another debit card that I had never activated. They had sent it to me awhile back when I thought that I had lost mine or something and so they just sent it to me just in case, but I guess I found it and never used this one, so the girl at the bank was able to activate it for me so now I have another debit card and didn't have to wait for a week to get it! Yeah!

While I was on the phone with my bank, my other bank called where I have my credit card to report what looked like fraudulent charges, so I called them back to find out that they had used that card too. I seldom use that card, so any purchases that were made were not made by me. It sounded like there were a lot of them. I'll have to see if they are on the statement. So I got that taken care of and closed and they will send me another card.

I still needed groceries, so I went off to the store and made a stop at Penney's on the way. It's close by the HEB where I usually shop, so I went and got a new wallet - nothing in it except my debit card. and then went to the grocery store. While I was at JCP though I realized that I had my JCP card and one from Eddie Bauer in the wallet also, so when I got home again, I had to call them and cancel both of those cards. Ugh!

Now, it's 6:15 and I've gotten nothing done today that I needed to get done. I still need to get a new driver's license, new Health insurance and dental cards, new medicare card, and a new license to carry card. I think that's all that's important. I had a library card, so I guess I can get a new one of those. I also called my boss to let him know that I'd be either very late coming to work on Monday or not at all. I still have to deal with some online accounts that need to have the number changed and a couple other local accounts that I'll have to call on Monday to change the number there also. Such a big hassle.

So, off to get some dinner and then I need to figure out what I need to get done tonight.

OH DEAR! Maggie, I am so angry that someone would do that. How awful!!! I am sorry you have had to deal with all this - and will continue to do so. (((HUGS)))

Maxine, it was on Darlene's blog, not in the thread. So much heartache happening in her life right now.

Hello my dear friends - thank you for the love & support!

Maggie: How awful for you!! I would be exhausted after a day like that. It will certainly take a while to sort things out. I sure wish that they could catch whoever stole your wallet and throw them in jail. They should have some consequences for their thievery.

Well, off to the early service at church, then home here to get some things checked off my to do list. DS will be coming by here later to help me change the codes on the garage door opener, move some heavy things to storage, etc. Then we'll have dinner here.

Catch everyone later & wishing you all a good day!

Oh Maggie, what an ordeal. I posted to FB but will say here, too- pull those tapes. The detectives were able to get great visuals of who was using mine. Sounds like they didn't catch them fast enough to stop them from using them but your bank should not hold you responsible. Keep an eye out on your credit reports - sometimes they open up more CC's in your name, and have it billed to another address (the scam address) so you don't even know you have accts open with tons of charges on them. These people are savvy, and always one step ahead of everyone else, sadly. Praying you have an easy solution!

Darlene - hugs to you. I know your plate is full, and I'm thinking of you. Sounds like ds will be a good hand today

I had to read back up and catch up as I missed so much ...

Yep, dd did cut her hair! She looks cute. I almost wanted to hop in the chair after her, but my hair needs to be in a ponytail for a variety of reasons, lol.

Ear - nope, not healed .......... I was put on the wrong antibiotics, for 10 days!! It not only wreaked havoc in my system but didn't clear up a single thing, and fortunately, this was my primary, not the specialist. That's a whole new lecture right there ...
Hand is healing up nicely, though - so one out of two isn't so bad!

I'm heading out to the trails with the dogs in a few hours, so I have to get a card swap packaged up, blog posts written, a book review done and my women's bible study group lesson finished up (we're on the book of Ruth - one of my FAVES!!!!) so I'll scoot ...

blessings and hugs, sounds like we all need them!!!!!!!!!

Maggie, that's horrible!!! I'm so sorry all that happened to you and now you're having to deal with getting a new DL and all the other things that go along with it. What a pain and yes, it just makes you angry to think of someone doing that. I know one thing for sure though.....I'll hang on to my purse in the stores now for sure! Hopefully reporting it fairly fast will help with all the problems.

Quite a few years ago my husband (ex) was in Houston for a DPS conference and one morning while he was there I got a call from a department store there just checking to see if my husband or whoever was using my Visa card number to purchase over $1000 in stuff with them. Say What!!! I told them I'd call back and immediately called my husband - who of course was not sitting in the department store. Long story short - but very early that morning he got a call in his room from the "hotel desk" saying they'd lost information in their computer and needed all his credit card information again to enter. Since it was so early in the morning and he was still asleep, he gave it to them over the phone. Bingo! It wasn't the hotel desk and then they had our number, etc. Luckily, the dept. store held the person there and called the police and they were able to arrest them. The hassle of the whole thing went on for months and months due to charges being filed against them/court/etc. At least we weren't out any money though so that was nice, but it was a pain.

So, my heart goes out to you! Hang in there and I'm sure you'll get it all straightened out.

OMGosh, Lynn! What a crazy story - thank goodness he was apprehended. One less victim in the world. Your poor husband, waking him up like that.

Shelly, your card went out on Saturday - I'm so sorry it is this late! Shameful. Maggie, yours I know you already have :*) I mailed them out of order, LOL!

Hugs!

Thanks Darlene! I was exhausted last night. I still can't believe it really happened. So mind boggling. As I thought about it today though, I realized that Heavenly Father was watching out for me through the whole thing and even though He couldn't stop the person from choosing to do evil, He was able to step in and have a couple things happen that were of help to me. I'm so grateful for His watchful care. I know that He's always there for us.

Enjoy your time with DS.

Ugh! Sorry that they gave you the wrong antibiotics for your ear. I hope now that it will start getting better. Glad that your hand it healing up also.

Enjoy your walk with the dogs. It got a bit chilly here today, but I enjoyed having it light a little longer in the evening.

The store manager said that they would pull the tapes and look at them, so I'm hoping that the HPD officer did that yesterday. When I was at church today, one of my GF's told me that she heard that the same thing happened in the same store just a couple of weeks ago, so looks like someone is targeting that store for easy prey. I know that I won't go back there again. There is another Kroger on my way home from work that I like better anyway and will go out of my way to go somewhere else from now on.

I have really learned a lesson, but I am usually very careful about my purse and keeping it close to me. I can't imagine what I was thinking yesterday to not do that there.

Oh, that is one thing that I know not to do - do NOT ever give out personal information over the phone. If I got a call like that I would say, I'll be right down to the desk and give you the information there. It is good that I'll get all the $$ back too. I tried to look online at my Juniper account, but it says No Transactions - Lost/Stolen, so they don't even have those on my account. I need to make a fraud report at the bank tomorrow and then I'll get that money placed back in my account. That was over $1000.

Maggie, you sound like you are on the right track to getting this resolved. Of course they target those that are distracted, have young children, etc - they even work in tandem to do the distraction. The thing is if you had checks in there, they use that information (not the check, or the bank acct) to create NEW ones - ones you won't even know about. But you may have just gotten a local thug, not a huge crime ring like I did ~ I'm so sorry you are going through this. I know exactly the place you are in, and it STINKS.

I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy time with the ds in spite of

J, your sparkly bear looks like she might need a maid!

Got my son's Science Fair board to school and in the Science Lab, hit the library center and did the Scholastic Book Fair - my time slot - anyone remember that!! Loved it as a kid, and still do as an adult Dogs are fed/walked, bird/hamster/rabbit all fed and now it's time for coffee cup #2!

Hugs, girls!

Hi Stamp Addicts,

I was at home today getting everthing done that needed to be done starting off with 2 trips to the DPS office. First time I forgot to take my passport for identification. Duh! No I don't have any picture ID! It didn't take long to come back and get it and go back up there. I was able to get right in since I had just been there. Other stops were to Costco to get a new card, back to the grocery store where I found out that the HPD officer didn't go into the store to talk to the manager on Saturday. Probably went in to get a Starbucks while he was there. Also found out that the store doesn't pull the tapes, the police have to come do that, and I have to request them to do that, so that was a phone call when I got home to get that taken care of. I went by the bank, but the transactions haven't posted yet to my account so they have to wait for that to happen before I can file the fraud claims. After that I came on home and then it was phone calls and online websites to change the CC that I use for certain accounts. I was busy with all that until after 2 and by then it was too late to head to the office. I wasn't even dressed for it so just took the rest of the day.

I got an e-mail from Copic about new dates for their Workshops for this year and they are having 2 in Dallas on May 24! They have the Whimsical Hair and Face in the morning and Airbrushing in the afternoon. Airbrushing still intimidates me so I signed up for both classes. I had to call my DD in CA first because she had told me that DGD's HS musical performance was in May and I wanted to make sure it wasn't the same weekend. Turns out that the Musical is the 1st weekend in May so I'll be going out to CA that weekend and then to Dallas for the Copic classes on May 24 - go up Friday and come back on Sunday. So excited!

Default Hello

Back home from a crazy weekend- went to Rockford to a Stamp show and helped out in the Technique Junkies Booth- I was able to see the show from the other side of the booth.... I took my payment in Stamps and now will have to find space for the new stuff- got lots! (aka need to purge...really need to purge!). I did not buy much else- there were no Copic reinkers- I need a couple, and nothing else appealed to me.....

Stephi and Ray had a great visit with Chris out in Colorado- skied in Telluride and hiked and did climbing in Moab (Utah)......Stephi went back yesterday : ( I really like having her home.....

Maggie- so sorry you had to spend the day running around to get all new cards, etc.... how frustrating! I was so worried in Asia- we were so lucky!

Katie has someone using a Visa card- got that taken care of finally- she Skyped Sunday AM and we called and the agent let me take care of it. They told her to call collect, but she was unable to get a connection. (Happened to Ray a couple of yrs ago- they start with a small purchase like $5.00 at starbucks, then a larger purchase- like $100 ish then a bigger one..... ). I was happy they sent her a fraud alert and they picked it up early.

Snow again tomorrow- seriously! There is melting snow, so water on sidewalks and the streets, so we will have to worry about ice under the snow.

Kelly- hope your ear improves on the new antibiotic and hope you are not resistant! How awesome your DD did Locks for Love- she looks so much like you in pictures : )

Jeanette- I like your bear- scruffy or not..... Are you in line for more snow???

Darlene- huge {Hugs}.

Kelly- I still have not made the card just for you....I will get it done tomorrow or Wed at the latest!

I am going to blog hop tonight- my younger sis dropped by yesterday and stayed a while, so I did not get around to visit. I do not get to see her enough!

OK- lets think of a question of the Week:
Do you ever use 12x12 paper? Would you cut it in 6x6 pieces to make more room in your storage area?

Have a great week!
Shelly

Good Morning Fellow Stamp Addicts!

Shelly, I'm glad to hear from you - sounds like you had a good time at the Stamp show. Yes, we are to have snow again tomorrow. How about you? The good news is: today it is to be 72 degrees out!!!

Shelly, glad you had a nice day at the stamp show. Know that had to have been fun.
More snow-----Uck! It's gotta end at some point in time!

Your Discussion of the Week question..............I had a ton of 12 by 12 paper and no place to keep it. I finally got a rolling cart with drawers and cut it all up into 8 1/2 by 11 pieces to fit. Like that so much better now. The scraps of it went into my scrap box - a portable filing cabinet with divider folders for colors, etc. I still have all my SU paper in the 12 by 12 but will probably be cutting that up too now. Just not enough room to keep the big sheets and since I don't scrap book, don't need them like that. My 6 by 6 paper pads are sitting in plastic shoe box containers on top of the rolling cart. I have two of those and either need to use more of it or quit buying more! LOL!!! Don't know if I'd cut the 12 by 12 into 6 by 6 because of where I'll store the loose sheets. Any ideas?

Good afternoon! Going to dd17's Ring Ceremony tonight - I should probably go see if I have a dress that fits! It's a HUGE presentation, ranks right up there with Prom and Homecoming ~ they make a really big deal of giving the class ring (that we bought 9 months ago!) to them in the auditorium like graduation - dressed to the 9's, called one by one, presented the ring, etc .... I got mine in Home Room in school when my teacher called out my name and handed it to me in a plastic baggie, ROFL!!!

LOVE the DOTW!

And NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!! I do not cut my 12 x 12 paper!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
LOL!! I just can't! Not only do I always think "I'll scrapbook this one day" and those are 12 x 12 albums, but I never know what I might use it for. To cut it down would limit what I could so with it, even if I don't know what at the time. I keep it in Cropper Hopper upright containers or in my paper rack wire shelves. To me, it doesn't save anymore room to make it smaller - I'm mostly out of space holding all my 6 x 6 paper pads. I have a rolling cart (made by the devil himself, I am sure of it!) which holds some of the stamps ~ only one drawer has loose cut scrap papers. The rest are all filed in the shelf in their paper pads or smaller cropper hoppers.

Oh, like Kelly... I couldn't cut my 12 X 12 paper either, but for different reasons. If left intact, I can make 6 cards with it - cutting the DP to 4" X 5 1/4" and layering with my personal color of choice (black) for a great background piece on my card. An 8 1/2 X 11 piece of DP only does 4 cards.

arghh - just have to re-type my post..... left the page too long and it would not post it.

I don't cut my 12x12 - I store it upright on a shelf, between books. The 6x6 is in a basket. The larger pieces once cut either stay on the shelf - if large, and in my scrap box if small - same goes with the 6x6.

Life is busy here - Had my card class this week, and only had two pupils, but we had a fun time. I was pushing them to 'do their own thing' and not just repeat what I had done.... On was the Teddy Bear up on my blog, and the other one I hope to get up tonight - if the ironing does not take too long.

Morning!!

Maggie, Monday's dealings pertaining to the stollen wallet sound like they were trying. Hopefully the police have pulled the tapes by now.

Kelly, I read back and gasped at your burn and the dryer! I said a prayer right away for healing. No infection yet, right? And what's up with the wrong antibiotic for your ear??? Holy cow! Maybe the antibiotics will also help your hand heal with out the risk of infection. {{Hugs}}

Shelly, great to hear from you! Love your recap here. I had a similar experience once with one of my cards, a couple of small charges, then one slightly larger...the bank called me and we stopped it just in time. We've also had that a couple of times with charge cards at my work. It's so annoying.

Jeanette, we're looking at more snow, starting tonight and into Thursday, but I think you & Shelly are getting (have gotten) more. Ugh, it's a stubborn winter this year.

DOTW: I have loads of 12x12 paper and do not cut it until ready to use a piece. Scraps are stored with the 12x12 by color. When making cards I typically make A7 size except for swaps. So the 12x12 gives me more options.

Well, here's my news: Monday I had plumbers and electricians out to the house to diagnose some sort of water pressure problem here. In the process of investigating they informed me that not only was my oil furnace (boiler) putting out loads of carbon monoxide, but it had burned through the steel housing on the back!!

Talk about God watching over me!! It's a wonder my house hasn't burnt down. Not to mention that I woke up every morning! So I was VERY busy yesterday trying to figure out how to do emergency funding of a boiler so I could get one in here ASAP. Fortunately it was warm yesterday, so I only ran it a few minutes (to get hot water in my tank & circulate the water in the heating pipes). Had the garage open & the door into the cellar open to dissipate the CO.

Tomorrow night it's supposed to get colder, so it's going to be tricky keeping the pipes safe, but one day at a time.

Financing the new boiler and installation was resolved last night - again God's hand! Two different offers from people in my church called me to say that they would pay for it and I can repay once the lawyers do their thing, agree on the #s and I can refinance to buy Bill out of the house. I'll include the costs in the refinance. Am I blessed or what?! I feel humbled at their generosity.

Well, hitting the shower and then need to get working. We have a big conference next week (why does everything happen at once? ) Loads of work, even without the distraction of the whole oil burner, divorce, etc.

Waving and wishing you all a great Wednesday!

Good morning Stamp Addicts. Yesterday was pretty busy at the office, so much that I was at my desk for the most of it typing away and my right hip really started to bother me. Finally had to get up and move around for a bit.

Last night was our first meeting of our new Book Group with ladies from church. There were lots of books suggested and I'm sure there will be more being suggested as we go along. We are starting with 3 for the next 3 months and one lady will host at her house. Such a wide variety of titles which I love. I was getting in a rut with my choice of genres.

As to the stolen wallet, looks like I need to call the HPD again today. Yes, an officer went out there, but they said since they don't know where I was in the store or when it actually happened, they weren't going to look at the tapes!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr. .... I know that I was there between 12 and 1 and probably shopping between 12 and 12:45 and they can look at all the tapes. They are so lazy and don't really care because it's not a big case.

As to the DOTW, I don't cut my 12 x 12. First of all, a lot of it is not meant to be cut because the design is such that it's for a larger size. One reason that I buy a collection in 6 x 6 if I like the large design because then it's reduced all over. My SU paper I keep in Cropper Hopper cases that I keep on a shelf. All my other 12 x 12 I keep in hanging file folders. I have 2 large ones of those. My 6 x 6 pads I keep in 2 rolling drawer units I got at Walmart. I really love those. They are just the right size and I can keep them right by my desk within easy reach and they are easy to look through. I keep them separated by Manufacturer.

Gotta go get ready for work. Hopefully I'll have time to check back later.

PTL!
My class on Sunday went pretty well. There was a lot of participation which is how I like to teach, but I don't want to do it on a regular basis. It does take up a lot of time getting ready for it every week.

Sorry I'm so late on this one, but glad that the surgery went well and the young man didn't have to lose any of his important parts. My first legal secretary job was for a man who had had that kind of cancer and he came through it just fine. He was a traffic attorney and I worked for him for about 4-5 years, but always went back to him for a ticket and referred everyone I knew to him.

That was so sweet of you DD to do that and donate her hair. They wouldn't take mine since I color it. I guess DD17 survived the polar plunge!!!!!

So far nobody behind bars. It is such a hassle to get this dealt with. I get one story from the store and another story from the HPD. I'm going to call the manager again at the store. Seems that they are supposed to get the video off the machine - copy to a drive or video and then they call the HPD and they will come pick it up, but they don't go there to look at it. I need to get these guys on the ball!

LOL! I am just the opposite. I did teach 7 yo's for about 2 years. They were a mess! Hated it. I'd much rather teach adults. At least they are not goofing off while you're trying to teach them a lesson.

Wow! What a fun time at the Technique Junkies booth and getting paid in STAMPS! That a great job.

Great that DH and Stephi had a fun time in CO. I'm sure you will miss having her around. Does she come home in the summer?

Yikes! Glad that Katie was able to get that VISA issue taken care of. Had she lost her card or had someone just hijacked her number to use? I just saw on my e-mails one from my credit card company on Monday saying that someone tried to use my card to transfer $$ out of the account. It is one that has a large credit limit on it, so someone could do a lot of damage, but looking at it on my Kindle, I'm not sure it's legit or whether it's a scam also. I need to check it out when I get home. I really HATE not having my personal e-mail available here at the office.

Kelly, I read back and gasped at your burn and the dryer! I said a prayer right away for healing. No infection yet, right? And what's up with the wrong antibiotic for your ear??? Holy cow! Maybe the antibiotics will also help your hand heal with out the risk of infection. {{Hugs}}

No, they haven't gotten the tapes yet. The store is being really stubborn about this. I talked to the HPD again today - Burglary and Theft and they told me that the store has to download the tapes to a video or drive and then they call the Dispatch at HPD to come and pick it up to take to the station to look at. They don't look at it at the store. So now I have to call the store manager again and get him to do this. My boss has a client at 3:30 and I'm waiting until he is busy. I hate talking personal business when he's around.

O M G! I am just now seeing this about your furnace Darlene! Yes, God was watching out for you that you were not all asphixiated (sp?) in your beds. How wonderful to have such great friends to help you out in a jam. How much longer until the "D" is final???? You've got so much to deal with and I've just got this little bitty thing that is causing me grief, I can only imagine how this is all hitting you. {{{{{{{{{{{HUGS and PRAYERS}}}}}}}}}}}

Oh Darlene - God is so good looking after you like that!! I love that He knows us, knows our individual needs and shows His care in such wonderful ways. Yes, it is surely humbling, but we rejoice with you in His goodness to you.

Life here chugs on much as ever - never did get the blog post finished last night - yes there was a huge pile of ironing, over a weeks worth, and I know DH had taken at least one shirt off the pile in the meantime - he tells me he is saving me work

Maggie you really are having a hard time with that store - hope it is all working out for you now.

Maggie, I'm glad your class went well Sunday. And thanks for your kind words about the young man's surgery and the information about the man you know who went through a similar thing.

Maxine, still no card? It's been 3 weeks.

I have just banned DH!!

He is helping the neighbour with a blocked drain and he STINKS!! He's not allowed back until it is finished or he comes home for a shower - then there will be all his clothes to be washed!! Men - they aren't waiting for the plumber to arrive, gotta do it themselves!!

Sorry Jeanette - no sign of the card yet

Maxine, I am so aggravated at our postal system. It's just not right that this has happened BOTH times I've had your name in the pair-up. Not to mention that I send you a one-of-a-kind card... and usually a little something extra, too. UGH!!! I'm leaving in the morning for a 5-day trip and don't have time to make you another card before I leave, but I will do so when I get home. I'm sorry!!!
