Hiya Prema! Happy Monday!

MFT is My Favorite Things...They are a very nice stamp company! Here is their link:
My Favorite Things

A blog hop is a list of people who have made a card/project for a particular company or group and you go from one blog to the next looking at all of the projects. There is always a list on each blog that links you to the next blog!

Hope this helps!

Hi Maggie!

I still do baskets AM. I ordered See's candy for my oldest since she is away at college. DS isn't big on candy. He gets some but doesn't usually eat it. I usually add books and small toys or fun things like Easter themed socks to their baskets. They still like to see the Easter Bunny too.

I knew AM would find a tutorial! I'll have to check it out just for fun.

We are getting closer to our magic #213!

AM - Thanks for the link to the tutorial. I don't have that die The love those flowers though and could probably cut them with scissors. The flowers I was thinking are smaller...maybe 1 1/2" across, and the edges are scalloped. I saw some on Pinterest that looked like the edges might have been done with pinking shears too. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Maggie - Welcome to the group. I can't wait to look at your blog!

My kind of meal. I seldom eat a real dinner. My big meal is at lunchtime so I usually will sort of snack. I like carrots and tomatoes so I'll have some of those with some Hummus. Tonight I also had a brownie from some I made yesterday. They turned out so good. What one?

Yes, please!!! Would you care for a glass of milk?! Yum!! Thanks for making me dinner! I knew you were going to be a great addition to our little group!

Have you tried a slice of mozzerella cheese on your tomato with a little bit of basil and olive oil drizzled over the whole thing! Yummmm-o!!

Sadly for me I eat a big lunch and a big dinner (and usually breakfast!) I love to eat! LOL Then I wonder why I cannot shed this baby weight! (Baby is 13!)

Big grin!

Morning everyone! How is everyone doing today? Any big crafting plans??

I started using my goodies from the stamp fair and have my first card up on my blog today

AnnMarie you must try a shaker card!!! Its a lot of fun to do one. Let me dig up the online link to the shaker card windows I bought at the fair. They make it so easy to make these cards.

Hey everybody!

Checking in! Have spent the day cleaning! We have been renting a house at the beach in North Carolina for the last 8 months and will be here for 1 more month. We will be moving back to Virginia at the end of April. Sigh! I like our little house in VA, but I sure am going to miss the beach.

Hope everyone had a good day!

Carolina...sorry your son is not feeling well. Nothing worse than having an under the weather kiddo. Makes you feel so bad. Hope he gets to feeling better soon!

Ok, so I wanted to ask you lovely ladies...! We have a pretty good size group so far and I wanted to find out how you all felt about having some challenges and or swaps? Is there interest? I do not want anyone to *EVER* feel any stress from this group, so mostly they would be optional. I really just want it to be a fun place to hang out!

Here is what I was thinking...we could each (anyone that wanted to) sign up for the month of our choice. Once you choose a month you are the hostess. It is up to you to post one challenge and one separate swap. You would:

*Announce your challenge the 1st (due date being last day of month)
*Announce your swap idea on the 1st
*Remind everybody about half way through the month about both
*Organize and wrap up the swap at the end of the month
*Pick a winner of the challenge. (Randomly, or your favorite...however you choose!) If you want to send the winner a small prize you could, but you do not have to...up to you since you are the hostess that month!

So basically, when it is your month you run the challenge and swap any way you would like! Everyone can choose to sign up or not. You could play one month and not the next or play every month...up to you!

What do you guys think?! I am totally open to suggestions!

How nice that you've gotten to be there for so long. I guess you're not close to the beach in VA. Are you there in NC for DH's work or something?

I'm game! As long as the challenges or themes aren't too specific. I do OK until the challenge is.....Make a card, with a circle, 6 buttons, a piece of ribbon, 2 stickers, a punched border, and a 3x3 square of chartruese paper....haha!

For swaps, it might be easier to stick to just cards for those who are in Canada or when we ship to Canada....just a thought.

Hubby works from home and we home school, so since we are pretty portable we decided to throw caution to the wind and 'move' to the beach for 9 months. We have a house in south eastern VA close to the NC border. We have lived in VA for almost 16 years, but moved there from Florida. We were really missing the ocean and thought a rental would be a happy compromise. Problem now is that we are spoiled to it and are all having a hard time with leaving! LOL

For swaps, it might be easier to stick to just cards for those who are in Canada or when we ship to Canada....just a thought.
This was too funny! Good point about Canada!

Is is one or the other for that month? I would love challenges or swaps but not at the same time.

Another good point! Maybe we could alternate? Challenge one month and then swap the next?!

Good point there. Are the swaps going to be finished cards? With all the ruckus about the copyright laws, I don't think we could do like a shoebox swap and send images.

It's great to be so mobile, but I can understand why you're reluctant to leave there after having lived in Florida. Well, enjoy it while you're there.

Totally open to ideas! I was thinking more outside the box for swaps! For example...I thought it might be fun to partner up and exchange 1 handmade card, one food treat and 1 pair of fun socks?! Just an idea! Or maybe exchange card kits with a partner or maybe a mini unfinished album?! Or dollar finds from the dollar spot at Target or Michaels etc...

card kits or secret sister swaps would be fun. We could do a fun secret sister swap with card making supplies. I like the secret sister swaps when I did them for scrapbooking. Card kits would be less expensive to mail.
