I just spent the last hour with the snow blower and the driveway. I didn't do the walkway to the front door. My glasses kept fogging u and were dripping with condensation!
That's one....any one else? We can have groups of two and each groups comes up with a theme and send each other a kit that goes with the theme. Make our cards and post what each person came up with.
Well, work went ok today, just very busy. No big issues with the project that launched, so that is a good sign. I have a recap meeting tomorrow. I had to fill out a difficult review that will need to be given next week to one our students. I will explain more some other time. Then I had a bad supplier in who because of their poor performance does not want to fix the business, but just stop part of it. Ummmm. NO! So we have to try to work thru that. But this supplier has been awful for the 8 years I have worked with them. They have a pretty bad rep. Tomorrow I need to get lots done so I can have the rest of the week off.
I am so excited for the concert tomorrow! This will only be my second concert ever! And I hear she is awesome! Thursday I am hoping to catch up in my studio and play around. Then over the weekend we will likely be working on siding the barn. It is suppose to be in the mid 50s and sunny!! WHHOOOO HOOOOO!
Have a great night! I am going to get a shower and watch some TV!
Hi girls. Sorry I've been MIA this week. DD had the crud and shared it with me. She went to the doctor and has bronchitis and sinus infection. I'm not as sick as she was thank goodness. We haven't had heat for over a week now! We're getting a new heat pump tomorrow (I Hope!). They are calling for snow/rain/wind tomorrow....YUCK!
Whatever kind of swap you girls decide to do, count me in.
I'm headed back to the sofa with my nice warm quilt

Have a great time at the concert tomorrow!!!!
Is that the same student you had to talk to before?

So sorry you are not feeling well and being out of heat stinks. I hope they get it fixed and you get to feeling better.
Seriously Carole! I can't wait for spring. I am tired of the dreary blah.
I think we all need two homes: one in the deep south and one up north.
Then we could be like "those people" you know with the summer home and the winter home. We could say stuff like, "yes, we have a winter home on the coast. If we want to go skiing, or have a white Christmas, we just use the other house."
I put off going the hospital to have blood work done until today. I drank tons of water.... and they got it first stick, needle went in slicker than a whistle!

Yeah! DS has to get blood drawn this morning. Cross your fingers. There are onky a coule people at this lab can stick him. One girl won't even try. She tried once and had so much trouble, she always gets someone else when she sees us! The other people seem to be a little better at it.

Isn't there another supplier you can use instead of this one that is so bad. I would think if the company knew they had a bad rep, they'd get rid of him/her and get someone knew that was going to promote their products in a positive way.

Yikes! I sure hope you have a space heater or two in the house to keep warm. Glad you're getting the new heat pump.
Sorry you and DD have been sick, but glad you're both getting over it.

Glad to hear that the blood stick went better this time. Hate when they have to poke around to get it done.
We are getting rain. They said snow originally, but now are saying all rain. Who knows?! I just know I am ready for spring!!!
That is it for me! Have a great night!
Yesterday was okay at work. Boss had mediation; I got free lunch. Had a turkey salad with mandarin oranges. Got some filing done.
I had a doctor appt which really wipes me out. I almost hate going to the eye doctor more than the dentist. I don't like messing with my eyes. I was wiped out by the time I got home with all the different drops they put in your eyes. It makes my eyes hurt. He told me that my eyes are really dry. It's from taking the Zyrtec. He told me what kind of drops to get even though he knows I hate using drops. I'm going to quit taking the Zyrtec to see if that helps and if I can do without it. Sometimes I don't really think it does anything either.
I was really tired last night from all the fuss at the eye doctor and hit the sack about 9:15. Slept till 5:30 except for one bathroom break.

Last night I saw Corey slinking around the back yard about 8 PM. This morning he's back up in the Pecan tree. I guess he feels safe up there in the dark of night. Poor guy.
Good morning Maggie! Sorry you had a difficult time that the eye doctor.
Isn't there something with cats that they will sit higher than the other cats to show their dominance? DD told me that once. Which is probably another reason why he should be outside. He might give the other two inside a hard time and start spraying.

Corey's been neutered, so he won't start spraying. He's no longer a "boy" cat. He's just still very scared to be out there with the big cats. He doesn't remember the time he was out there before he had his operation, and his mama isn't taking care of him like she did before. If I had know he was going to be like this, I would have just put him back out right after his surgery and he probably would have been okay with it.
Neutered cats still have the ability to spray just maybe the desire might not be there. All our cats have been neutered and we never had a spraying problem until we got this cute little kitten. Annabelle was fixed at six weeks and the closer she got to a year old, the spraying started. She thought she was a hot shot, top cat (even as a kitten she thought she was the dominate cat).
We thought Lulabelle felt threatened by her and Sweetie and was doing the spraying until I caught that little stinker Annablle doing it. Lulabelle sprayed some but Annabelle was the worst.
I thought separating them would stop it, but Annabelle kept it up. We put Lulabelle outside but Annabelle was still inside with Sweetie so it didn't stop. So they both went outside.
That's weird. I've never had a cat spray that was neutered before they reached the age of maturity which is usually about 3 months old, and I've never had a female cat spray whether they've been spayed or not. It's usually the male who is marking his territory.
I don't know but she was determined to be in charge. Lulabelle used to be Hapoy-go-lucky and easy going. It wasn't like she came from a single cat household and we had another cat with Lulabelle. Never any problems with those two.
Then that little stinker came along. I saw her do it too. She was spraying not peeing. Lulabelle doesn't spray so much as pee on top of something deliberately out of spite. Like a grocery receipt etc. I guess she was mad at us!
We tried putting each one outside and one inside but Lulabelle would still occasionally pee on something if she was inside. If Annabelle was inside, then she would still spray. I guess she didn't want Sweetie to get any ideas. She sprayed outside too if Lulalbelle was there. So both ended up outside.
Luckily Sweetie didn't start and she was much older when we got her and hadn't been spayed until after we got her. So go figure she never has sprayed!
Never will have have more than one in the house again. Candy Cane and Lulabelle together were fine but when Candy Cane and never thought it would be a problem if we got another cat after Candy Cane died. Especially since they were all female. Wrong!
Well, Brandon was home sick today so my day was completely off. He's feeling a bit better tonight but I may keep him home again tomorrow....we'll see in the morning.
If I'm not mistaken; we have:
Pam
AnnMarie
Dorlene
Nancy
Maggie
Athina
for the Spring Fling Exchange. I'm also up for the kit thing too....I've seen it done on other threads where someone sends the stamped images & a theme out to all participants and they make their cards accordingly. It's always interesting to see the different interpretations on their blogs. I think this will be a lot of fun
Carole; did I miss you? I'm so sorry! How are you doing? Did I miss your post about the Spring exchange also?
I would just like you all to clarify that my list is correct before I go any further. This is going to be so much FUN
I had a fun time for a little while last night. My GF from work FINALLY came over to my house to stamp with me. She is working on a set of cards and box that we started months ago and have been trying to find time to get back together. She was only here for a little over an hour because she had to go home and watch Survivor with her DH!!! Their internet had been out since Sunday and she told him she'd come watch with him. She also decided that she could finish these cards at home, but wants to come to my house so I can teach her the things I know - where to get images, how to color, putting cards together, etc.
I worked on a card for an Easter challenge - not using pastel colors. That was fun.
We were sitting at my dining room table the whole time and Corey was sitting outside the window meowing! I know he wanted to come in and play with Maggie Mae, but when I go out there, he runs away from me. At least this morning he wasn't up in the pecan tree.
Casper goes to the vet this morning to get declawed. After he recovers from that, he'll be introduced out into the house. Keep your fingers crossed that they will all get along together.

Yes, I'm in.
I'm also in a Monthly Challenge group that does that with the kits every month. I usually end up behind on getting my cards done. It's fun though to see what everyone makes with what they receive. Everyone has their own take on things.

I hope your son is feeling better today!
Yes, our roads were great yesterday. No problems getting around yesterday morning. Even the parking lots of the three places I went were clear. I have noticed the day after it snows they do a really good job of getting the roads clear early in the morning.

Does each person send an entire kit to all the participants on a rotating basis? I was thinking of something like that but wasn't sure about postage etc but if each person took a turn, then it all works out in the end.

That's nice she finally came over even if it was only for an hour. It's nice to have someone to "play" with!
That cat is goofy! Do you think he really wants to come in? I hope he finally stops running away from you at least. All of our cats have their claws. Speaking of which, they need theirs trimmed.

I think that would be great! We would need someone to manage the two homes also. I wouldn't want to keep up with 2 houses, one is enough!
