I don't know why she hasn't asked any of her other friends or maybe they can't make it either.
Her doctor just gave her the ok to travel. I think the short notice is the biggest problem.
They are always changing the flights and it really depends are where you go and what time of year.
Not many flights to Maui in general and short notice makes it more difficult.
My sister has good luck with Virgin America when she flies to CA. They are always the cheapest when she goes from VA. Not every airline is at every airport either.
Good morning PJ girls. I was cutting cardstock last night for our service project at Church on Saturday. I couldn't believe that HL didn't have any cards when I went there last week. I'm also cutting all the little pieces that they need to stamp on. I hope they can do this.

Mornin' Maggie!! I got up early again today, 6:30. I just keep waking up excited to get creating Gosh, and for 30 years I got up at 5:00. yuck
So, I am such a dork! (Does this come as a surprise to anyone?!) LOL I have this friend...well she is more like a past friend with whom I still behave cordially to because my mom taught me to be polite. We are past friends because of a disagreement over opinions anyhow that is a whole other Oprah show entirely! She has a step daughter who I just absolutely adore!! The step daughter is having a baby and a baby shower. The friend asked me if I could give them some ideas for invites etc. So, I offered to make the invitations for them. (DORK ALARM!!! DORK ALARM!!!) and she jumped at it. They are a really young couple and I know money is tight so I told them it would be my shower gift to her. I found out this morning that she wants 45 of them! LOL How do I get myself into these things?!

When I went out to play with the dogs this morning, Cricket had been hunting... she had varmit blood and goo on her. After I cleaned her up I tried to get her to show me where it was, but she wasn't talkin'. I bet it was another bunny. I've tried to talk to Cricket and hold her and pet her when bunnies were out in the yard. I told her how cute they were and that she was NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT THEM!!

Maggie - I had my card ready for PSC's challenge #3, and when I went back to read it I realized that not only did there have to be a critter on the card, but it had to be Christmas. OOOPS! It's cute as the devil, but def. not Christmas. Will have to make another card tomorrow.

I bough the lastest Justin Cronin book The Twelve. It is the second book the The Passage trilogy. I so want to just curl up and read it and do nothing all day!
I know once I start I won't be able to out it down.

You can whip those out in no time! All you have to do is stamp the little feet. The wording you just print out on the computer. I did a bunch of baby shower invitations last year about this time for a girl at church that I was hosting the shower for. They are really cute.

I started reading it last night before bed. DD2 has an appt on Saturday and I will read while I wait. If we go anywhere in the car, I will be reading while DH drives. LOL

Just finished Fifty Shades of Grey...all I can say is WOW! It's hard to believe that an author whose writing was on so-so could portray such a complicated relationship....know what I mean? I can't imagine how they could make it into a movie without it being X rated.
Went to Target and Walmart tonight. They have almost NO scrapbooking stuff anymore.

Mornin' Maggie! Am I the only one who doesn't want to read Fifty Shades of Gray? It just doesn't sound happy, it sounds like a dark story and I don't like to read that type of thing for pleasure. I mean I spend my life battling depression, why on earth would I want to read about sadness or scarey or depressing things ya know? I like love stories, cause they have happy endings, but I really like romantic suspense type of mysteries cause they give me something to figure out and they end well.

Nope, you're not alone. It's not on my list of must reads either. Just not my type of story. I'm reading Broken Wings right now. This one is sosrt of a romantic suspense type. It's about a girl who is a con artist who is a dead ringer for a dead woman who is decended from a woman who was a bank robber back in the day who married an Indian and supposedly buried a treasure of money somewhere. She's hired by a thug to go and pretend to be the dd of the decendant and find the treasure. The thug has 1/2 of a map and the family has the other 1/2. She has to go con them into believing she is who she says she is, then find the treasure. Sounds like a fun story.
I haven't started reading my Gray books yet but unlike some of you....I'm into reading that sort of thing LOL! I LOVE scary/horror/mystery/BAD books because those sorts of things aren't a part of my life so that makes me more interested in them---KWIM?!!!
As far as romance goes.....those books I cannot read because they're sappy to me! I have a decent amount of romance in my life anyway so I don't want to read about it unless it's a dirty book

I thought it was a good book, but I will warn you, it is VERY SEXUALLY GRAPHIC. I knew that before I started reading it, but it might not be for everyone.
