Ok ladies, I have sent you all your secret sister via PM. If you did not get something from me, let me know. I also have the original file of mailing addresses should someone need them. Just let me know.
Have fun! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Ruh Roh! I didn't get mine. I'm excited to see who it is!!
hee hee I just had a thought.... Pam's new nickname could be "Pinky" Luve that you did your hair pink for cancer
Oh and you know what I'm thinking? Maybe the Cancer Society could use some cards for fund raising or for patients or something?? I'd like to call them and see. If they could use them, then maybe that is a church group ministry. The Cancer Society would mean a great deal to me. I lost both my parents to cancer when I was younger and now my brother has it too. I'm just thinking ahead. I can't do anything until these craft shows are over, but I'd love to do something useful ya know?

That would be nice to find someplace local to donate cards. I pulled a bunch of mine and some that I had received that can be used to find a new home for them. Haven't really done anything. Thought about donating to Cards For a Cause, but if I can find someplace where I don't have to pay for postage to send them somewhere, it would be better.

You are so right! Hey, you know what? I bet the Ronald McDonald House could use cards. I say this because Stampin' Up's corporate office supports RM they donate to them etc.
I have thought about RM House, just need to take the time to make some contacts.
Good morning PJ girls. Another whirlwind week coming up. Boss has mediation 3 days this week, so that means 3 free lunches. Then he'll be out of the office on Friday and I'm going to have our birthday lunch with my sis.

Mornin' Maggie!
Glad about the Grinch-free lunches
I just finished 18 Cookie Monster cookie packages. Hmm somebody ate a couple. Somebody who loves chocolate and who is not on Weight Watchers.
Somebody who innocently claimed they don't know anything about missing cookies.
Somebody who said, "where is the evidence, that's right there is none so you can't prove it. There must be a cookie thief on the loose."
Somebody with a devilish smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

I've said it once & I'll say it again....you guys are extremely chatty! My time on the pc is always limited on weekends with DH being home & the kiddos having projects to do so it's always NICE to come back on here and read up on you crazy girls LOL!!!!!
Thank you for the compliments on that purse....I don't think it's expensive at all! I've seen pricier ones made by Dooney & other brands and I personally think they're out of their minds for wanting that much $$ for a handbag. My limit is $275 for a purse & $200 for a wallet......you know what they say---set your goals high & you'll fall somewhere in between
Carole, your board is coming together very nicely! I like the idea of flowers being added along with the house & branches---the birds will be great too.
AnnMarie, I'm so very sorry to hear about your pooch! I've said goodbye to a few of my pooches & it's never easy. Sending lots of {{{{HUGS}}}} your way Hun!
How are you doing Pam, Athina, Nancy, Dorlene & Maggie? I hope you all had a nice weekend!!!
I got my pm for my secret sister & I'm brainstorming as I type this. I'm thinking this is going to be a LOT of fun!
Ok Ladies, I am working on the exchange. I thought I would put some questions out there for us each to answer, so when we get our names we have an idea to help us fill our goodie box.
So here goes!
Are there any techniques that you have wanted to try, but have not? (stamping or scrapping related) There are so many 3D things that I want to try so ANYTHING 3D would be a great technique for me
What is your favorite:
- stamping/scrapping snack? Chewy Jolly Ranchers
- embellishment Antique Brads & Ribbon
- color Red
- paper Anything SU!
- manufacturer SU!
- stamp line SU! Riley & Magnolia
What is one thing on your Christmas wish list this year? Any of the new embossing folders from SU!
Athina, I got my Secret Sis' name too. Thanks again for hosting. Details all sound good to me. Thinking, thinking, thinking...
Monday came awfully quick this week. I think the weekend evaporated into thin air.
I started a book last night called Anything by Michael Baron. It is supposed to be the same sort of genre as Nich Sparks, but so far I am having a hard time getting into it. I will keep trying though.

LOL! They must be really good cookies! I guess you have to catch that Cookie Monster with crumbs on his mouth!

OK I'll be Pinky It reminds me of Pinky on Happy Days....remember her???
One of the Relay For Life teams here sold handmade cards at a bank as a fundraiser. I think they did pretty well. Everyone in our swap group donated cards and we made an extra card each month to donate.
I bet cancer centers would take them too and hand them out to their patients as encouragement.
Oh no....I'm the only one who didn't receive mine. Maybe I'm a doofus and not looking in the right place. Hmmmm.
Nursing homes and assisted living facilities love getting cards too. Many of the residents don't have many visitors or they don't have family in the area.
Carole, I guess next time you make cookies you need to set aside a few extra for the cookie thief. Maybe that will score you some extra points towards getting that paper cutter!
Don't look for her under Jackie......look under Jacquel
Maggie, you should get it down and read it! So far it is good. So I hope the ending is good. I have on,y read two of his books. One the ending was predictable and I was disappointed. Giving him another chance!

I found her!!!!!
I will as soon as I finish the one I'm reading on my Fire called Witness. Pretty god, but it's getting a little slow. I want to get to the good part.
I love all the Sparks books that I've read so far and I've read most of them.
I found Jackie and Athina on Pinterest My Mom is new to Pinterest, but I know once she starts using it, she'll love it. She got the app for Kindle. I tried helping her with it last night, but I'm sure she's going to need help again. Her name is Mary Dulin if it pops up on anyone's list. I told her to go down my list and add all of you!

Hi AnnMarie,
How is the puppy doing? I have been thinking about you guys. Hoping and sending prayers for the best!

I will have to add her. I am still trying to figure out the following thing on there. One day....
You know it has been a crazy day. But one thing I will tell you is that I now know I made the right decision about my plans this weekend. I am sure God had a hand in that. See, I struggled deciding whether to go to my cousins wedding (which I would have to travel 6 hours alone to get there) or my DH cousins wedding locally. On top of that the family reunion and I wanted to go support my aunt at the local festival. It thought long and hard for about a month and it wasn't an easy decision. Well I decided to stay locally and I am so thankful. I got a call today that they admitted my aunt to the hospital with congestive heart failure. She is in good spirits and they are working to get the fluid off her heart and get her heart beat back to normal. I went out to see her tonight. I am glad I got to go see her on Saturday, even if only for a little while. It means a lot to me to spend time with her. Growing up we were not very close. My mom did not like my dads side of the family so I did not go around them much. Once my mom left, I started to build that relationship. My aunt and I have become very close and try to get together at least once a month to scrapbook.
Sorry I am rambling, lots of emotions today and I am just worn out.
I am going to go relax before heading to bed. I hope everyone had a good day! Be thankful for the ones around you.
So guess what? Hubby bought a Nexus 7 tablet about a month ago, but the speakers started acting a little wonky on it so he contacted the company and they sent him a new one. He told me to play with he old one and I just love it. So, rather than send it back he gave it to me. It is adorable! Only 7 inches and I can look at all of your wonderful blogs on it.

Big hug! I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope that they are able to get her back on her feet quickly. Sounds like you made the right decision!
Hi AnnMarie,
How is the puppy doing? I have been thinking about you guys. Hoping and sending prayers for the best!
We went and picked her up this afternoon. They were finally able to get her stable and after many lengthy discussions we decided to bring her back home. The vet said she will go into heart failure again and that it is just a matter of time, but that she would be better off at home with the people that she loves and her cat ( she has her own cat). Hubby and I have decided that when it happens again if it doesn't happen quickly the we will take her in for intervention, but not treatment. We will both be lost without her, but neither of us can stand the thought of her suffering.
