Pam, you have been sooooo busy!! I just love hearing about all of your projects!! Glad someone is crafting...I have been missing my craft room lately! Just so darn much going on! I have got to get more organized or something!! I am falling behind on every little thing! I must admit!! You have really, really got me wanting to dye my hair pink!!!! I think that is just too cool!!!

Hellooooooooo!!!! I am here!!! I am here!!!! I am borrowing a laptop because mine is in about a hundred million pieces all over the dinning room table! *GASP!!!* Hubby is fixing it, but it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up to see the poor thing all disected! Turns out I have a bad hard drive and so he is replacing it and doing other maintenance on it. Fortunately, he has it set to back up once a day so I am not going to lose anything. A couple of hours has turned into a couple of days though and I am going a little nuts with out it!!!! Crazy scary how dependent we become on our gadgets! I tried to post here from my phone, but the site wouldn't format right. Grrr! Anyhow, here I am!
Yikes! That would certainly be a little disconcerting! Hope that the reassemble goes well and he doesn't have any screws or other pieces left aver when he's done.
400 emails??? WOWZERS!!! I don't get that many at work. Hopefully DH will get you a new laptop so you can quickly get thru them. I hope puppy is still doing ok.
I am finishing up round 2, week 3 of insanity. I feel like I have lead in my feet this week, not sure why. I am starting to get a bit bored, so I may have to look at the Charlene Extreme. I have never seen it before. But I think in another six weeks I will be ready for something else. I haven't lost anything else, which is frustrating. I am still wavering around 8 lbs. But I can tell my arms and legs are definitely becoming muscle. However, they don't seem to be getting any smaller.
Are you walking or anything? I imagine with your hectic schedule it would be very difficult.

Sounds like you've hit a plateau and need to change things up a bit to get the metabolism moving downward again. 8 lbs. is great. I'd like to do that. I've been walking every day, but don't see anything going on either. I do eat healthy and do not eat a lot of junk food or drink sodas. Right now I can't do a lot of extra workouts. I've got pains here and there that I don't want to aggravate.
Ok, so I am having an issue and need to vent a bit. I apologize in advance if I offer too much info, but I am struggling a bit right now. My daughter lives an hour and a half away. She is 19 and she is a feisty little thing. She is very confidant and always manages to hold her own. She works in a pharmacy and something happened the other night that has me holding my breath and on pins and needles. She was at her store (not working) running errands. There was a man in the store who seemed to be watching her. Turns out when she left the store he was sitting in his car waiting for her. He waited 45 minutes on her. She was walking since she lives nearby and he followed her in his car. She noticed him and changed her route and went and found people to 'talk' to so that she neither gave away where she lived or left herself open for him to approach her. She called her boyfriend who then came out and met her. When she got home she called the store and asked them to check the video cameras for anything odd. Well, while this creep-o pervert was sitting in his car he engaged in well activities he shouldn't have been engaging in in public. He was very blatant about it and they have it on camera. She has called the police and based on everything that happened they have assigned her a detective. My normally very confident, self assured daughter is now afraid to be outside alone. Whether this idiot had any intentions of approaching (Thank goodness it didn't turn out any worse!!!!!) her or not he has taken something from her. As a mother I am angry and petrified and angry...(did I mention angry!!!!!!) She carries pepper spray, but goodness! How do you let them live their lives when there is so much to worry about?! I am NOT a panic-y person and I try to keep things in perspective, but this has me feeling quite frightened. We spend their whole lives trying to protect them from everything from scraped knees to this very thing. We are driving down there today to spend the afternoon with her because she is worried about being alone while her boyfriend is at work. Grrrrrr!!!! This is my kid and to know that she is feeling afraid all the time is tearing me apart. She is planning on coming home for about a week, but not until next week. She knows a few people from work that are keeping an eye out for her and have offered rides to and from work, but I am still pretty worried. Sorry for the long vent, but I wanted to offer a little insight as to why I have been pre-occupied lately. I do promise to be more active and have all of my fingers and toes crossed for a healthy functioning laptop soonest!
Wow! That is very scary for something like that to happen, but reading over what you say, your daughter is one smart girl. She has learned all her lessons well - she was aware of her surroundings and what was going on. Had seen the man, saw him following her, and did the one thing that probably saved her -- found someone to talk to and took a different route to her home so he wouldn't be able to find out where she lived. She also has put the store on guard so that they didn't inadvertently give any information out to anyone without a need to know. I'm glad that she has friends there that will watch out for her. Does she have a choice whether to drive or walk? Glad that she reported this to the police and hope that from the video, they will be able to find this pervert and get him off the streets.
Maggie, am I losing my mind or did you accept a position on the Twisted Tuesday DT? I could have sworn that I read somewhere that you had, but I don't see you listed on the blog? Am I just going crazy?! I LOVED being a part of that team, but after serving my 6 months felt like I needed to step down! I just have so much going on right now. Tough trying to do it all!
Well, yes I did, but after making that commitment, I had a difference of opinion on something that Melina wanted to do and after a lot of soul-searching decided that I couldn't be a part of the DT, so I withdrew my name. Actually, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders after that. I had some misgivings in the first place about taking it on, but then I left her talk me into it when I probably should have stood my ground and not accepted in the first place.

{{{Big hug!!}}} Thank you! We are looking into self defense classes. She and I took one years ago together, but a refresher course seems like a good idea now. She is taking fencing with her dad, but that seems kind of pointless to me right now! LOL Not like she is going to be able to whip out a saber and perrie someone into submission?! *rolls eyes!* (STILL no smilies!!) I really, really appreciate your encouraging words. Helps to know I am not as crazy as I am feeling/sounding! LOL So dang frustrating that I spent 19 years trying to instill those feelings in her and he was able to strip them away in a matter of minutes. Sometimes...people suck! LOL
Your not crazy! She's your daughter and you want to protect her. Hopefully this pervert didn't take anything away from her. He probably made her a stronger person!
Right now she is shook up and afraid. Over time her fears will subside and she will come out a much stronger person than she is now. You will always be by her side no matter how far a away she lives, encouraging her and reminding her what a good person she is and how strong and self-confident she is.

Wow, Athina you are doing great with workouts. Sounds like you have been building a lot of muscle which weighs more than fat. Have you measured your self to see how many inches you lost? Maybe you need to switch up your workouts during the week. Your body might be used to this routine.
Carole, I think Maggie wants to see your tote bag! I would like to see it too.

DH was measuring me every two weeks, but it seemed most times everything got bigger. I am not sure it is consistent so I don't think it was good for me. We have no clue how to measure. So I stopped. I think I will make it thru this round and then try something new for a while.

I am so sorry AM. Some people are such jerks. Your daughter did the right thing and hopefully they catch this guy. I am so sorry she is frightened and you as well. I pray that this will end soon and that you both find peace and comfort. Take care of her and yourself. We will be here. Or if you need to chat come on by. We will lift you up!
Athina, you are doing amazing! Just keep it up! Consistency is key! Nancy is probably right though. Maybe changing things up a bit and throwing your body into a state of confusion might offer different results. I LOVE the Chalene EXtreme program. Heavy weights to the point of exhaustion. Lots of push ups! I enjoy weight lifting though! It is a very solid program and I like her style. I tried Power 90 X and although Tony is absolutely adorable, I had a hard time sticking with it because of him not so much the workout. It is an excellent program as well. I have been walking. I try to walk about between 3-4 miles a day. It just makes me feel so much better when I am walking. I have been out there after dark so squeeze it in, but it is worth it!
Thanks AM. I am staying at it for now. I did the P90X a few years ago, but I should have been in better shape before I started it. So it really did not do much for me. I like the push ups! So maybe CE is the way to go.
Good job for walking daily! I think it helps everything, stress, mood, body, mind... Keep it up but be very careful after dark. Have someone with you.

Plateaus stink It has been about 2 months. I have tried to vary calories. I was eating protein cookies before I work out (healthy and natural) but I gave those up this week to see if I could get movement on the scale. We will see. I do eat healthy except for that 1 treat on the weekends. It is so frustrating to me.
Keep up your healthy habits and be careful with the pains. Hopefully you are seeing the dr and he can do something for them besides meds. Maybe some PT?

I've been working in my stamp room, cleaning out and organizing my stamp drawers. I've pulled out a few more SU sets for E-Bay. I have a ton of B/G stamps that I never use but don't want to get rid of them. I should try to use them more instead of d/p.

I'm afraid that the only answer for me for less pain is by surgery since it's lower back, and I'm not anywhere near in that much pain to do that. I don't do med except an Advil once in awhile. I just go for my walk every day and that helps.

Silly question.....I made a cute gift bag out of a 12x12 piece of paper. I want to share it on my blog with the template. It's a template that I made out of a piece of 12x12 paper. I was going to take a picture of the template with the measurements written on it. I've seen girls who have nice computer generated templates. How do they do that???

Nancy's right DD did all the right things, I'm very impressed. Ohhh she could carry a whistle too. Spray em' with pepper spray and blow the whistle so loud it deafens him.
Hey, you know those life alert thingys that old people wear? They push a button to call for help if they fall. Is there something like that for other parts of the population? oh yeah, guess maybe a cell phone which she already has. hmmm I'm thinking, cause I want to help you FIX it. arrgh!!!!

In Microsoft Word, you can use the draw tools to create rectangles, lines half circles etc. Then insert text boxes to add captions to your illustrations. Paint Shop or Print Shop are also great drawing programs, if you have them.
Hey ladies, I'm back amongst the living! Man, that pleurisy really kicked my butt! I did nothing like the dr ordered mostly because I really couldn't without being in so much pain. Once that pain was settled, for some reason I was having muscle spasms in my left arm in four major spots. I ended up getting five shots last Wednesday. I'm going to be honest with you, not even sure what they were, yeah, I was that out of it. My elbow and just below it is still hurting but nowhere as bad as it has been. I do feel much, much better now.

Me too, but I actually need to get my weapon worked on. It's too hard for me to pull the trigger with one hand, but it works using both hands. I keep putting off making a trip to the gun store.

Hi Dorlene! So glad that you are back among the land of the living. Wow! You sure had it bad. Not sure what the muscle spasms were about. I never had that when I had pleurisy. Maybe something entirely unrelated. Hope that doesn't interfere with your stamping.

I started a layout on Friday but haven't finished it yet! We did a lot of running around yesterday. DS received some birthday money from his grandpa and we took him to Toys R Us to pick out some things with it.

The templates I was thinking about, you could tell they weren't hand drawn. The sizes and directions were typed on them, and there were score lines and cut lines. I think I might just draw mine. It will take less time, than trying to figure out how to do it in a program....LOL I think some of the girls that create sketches use a program too.
It's a rainy chilly day here. I think I'll go get the Sunday paper and chill on the sofa with DH while he watches the Ravens game. Orioles come on at 6:00....go O's!!! Maybe squeeze in some scrapping time between the two. And I have lots of projects to upload!

Oh I just know he loved going to that toy store! There used to be a castle toy store in Chicago that I LOVED going to when I was a kid. It was soooo big. Then of course FAO Schwarz in New York, I remember wishing my Mom would just leave me there for a while. lol
Okay, here is my prototype. It's too big, I'll make the rest smaller. I didn't add the coordinating fabric at the right stage, so the bag is a lot taller than I'd wanted. I'll also change the pocket around to be wider not so tall. I think they will be cuter if they are smaller. I really do not like to sew. I'm only going to make about 8 of them.

Whether this idiot had any intentions of approaching (Thank goodness it didn't turn out any worse!!!!!) her or not he has taken something from her. As a mother I am angry and petrified and angry...(did I mention angry!!!!!!) She carries pepper spray, but goodness! How do you let them live their lives when there is so much to worry about?! I am NOT a panic-y person and I try to keep things in perspective, but this has me feeling quite frightened. We spend their whole lives trying to protect them from everything from scraped knees to this very thing. We are driving down there today to spend the afternoon with her because she is worried about being alone while her boyfriend is at work. Grrrrrr!!!! This is my kid and to know that she is feeling afraid all the time is tearing me apart. She is planning on coming home for about a week, but not until next week. She knows a few people from work that are keeping an eye out for her and have offered rides to and from work, but I am still pretty worried. Sorry for the long vent, but I wanted to offer a little insight as to why I have been pre-occupied lately. I do promise to be more active and have all of my fingers and toes crossed for a healthy functioning laptop soonest! 
It's like all is right with the world ya know? 
I keep putting off making a trip to the gun store.
