Good Morning

My day is much better except for the snow. The roads are a bit messy & slippery but I'll be very careful when I go get the kiddos this evening.

Athina, my tummy is a bit better even though I'm not eating normal food on a regular basis. I did have some regular food this past weekend & it stayed down fine and I didn't have an upset stomach so I think I'm going to take it really slow. That's the advice from my Dr. too....I talked with him about what's going on & that saved an unnecessary trip as well as $$. I've been following his advice so we'll just continue to see how it goes. In case you're wondering; he didn't want me to come in because there's too many sick people in & out of his office. There's still a slight chance of the virus still lingering in my system from the symptoms I'm having so better safe than sorry.

Congrats on saving your boss $$ Pam! That's awesome & I'm sure he'll appreciate it!!!

Carole; how are you feeling today?

Nancy; it's snowing here too....what great weather we're having right?!!!

Hi Maggie! What are you up to?

Dorlene; I hope you're still hanging in there Hun!

Sounds like you're having a FAB time AM! I had to really look at that photo of you on the horse since all I saw was the pole LOL!!!!!

OH, sorry about the delay with your plane Athina! That really sucks but I hope you guys still had some time together.

I'm gonna go get busy so I'll check in a bit later....c ya

So sorry I haven't been around much lately. I wasn't feeling the best last week (issues from running on Monday) and then I was traveling. I had no internet while I was gone other than my phone. I had 2 computers with me but couldn't get the wireless to work. The trip was a long 2 days, but very good. The company I went to visit, I have worked with about 5 years. My main contact, when I walked in was so sweet. There were a bunch of guys that I had no idea who they were, so I put my hand out to shake Bernie's (my main contacts) hand. He shook his head and threw his arms out to give me a big hug. What a sweetie he is. I just love working with him. Our plane was delayed on Friday, so I was about 3 hours late getting home. DH had taken the day off to spend with me bc I would be home early. Well, that didn't work. The rest of the weekend was very quiet. So nice to be able to relax.

I have tried to read back thru things....

Maggie - Glad you got to see your DD, but not under those circumstances. You sound like you have been very busy. Take some time to play with those fun things you got in the mail!!!

I did my secret sister shopping tonight, so that is done. I need to do some research tonight before I go to bed. It will be another busy week ahead, I expect the entire month to be a busy one. But it makes the time go by quickly at work.

Everyone have a great nite!
After your long trip, I'm glad you got a warm welcome from the group you were visiting. Too bad that you were late getting home and didn't have as much time with DH to rest and relax.

I will play with my new toys as soon as I can get things organized. I bought a bunch of new 12 x 12 boxes for my paper and can't wait til I get them so I can get my paper better organized.

That's great that you were able to get your SS stuff done. There's no way I would have had any time to do this right now. Some nights I go home and just want to crawl into bed with a good book.

They did a temporary fix on the electricity. They had two trucks outside. I saw they had foot prints a tire tracks in the snow leading up to where the electricity comes into the house. So I looked out the window and there is some cart out there. Not sure what is is or what it does but we have electricity through the whole house now and not half!
That is weird. Is it something that they are going to leave there for good or is it only a temporary thing. Maybe some kind of generator???

We didn't go to bed until 3am! DD would LOVE to go to the parade tomorrow morning, but she has to be at work at 4:00 and would be pushing it to get home in time. I worked this afternoon, then finished up my PINS DT project so I could get it posted. Then I rushed to the firehouse to help serve food for Bingo. Came home, and did my blog post, and now I'm pooped! After two late nights, I really should have been in bed hours ago!

My 2nd week at work started off great. I'm getting my boss a $400 refund from Verizon. I didn't see him before I left, but I'm sure he'll be pleased!

Hi Maggie and Jackie! Gosh I hope I didn't miss anything....I'm trying to sum up all the posts I read from the weekend!
Wish I had a Fireman's Banquet to go to? Sounds like fun.

My DD and SIL were disappointed with the outcome of the Super Bowl game. They used to live up in the Bay area and were rooting for the 49'rs.

Your boss should at least take you to lunch with those savings! WTG! Good job.

Sorry about that. It's supposed to get up into the 70's today as soon as the drizzle stops and the sun comes out.

Sounds like you and the DD's are having a great time there at Sea World. It will be nice to lounge by the pool today and don't do too much. Maybe a tad more shopping??

Glad to hear that you at least checked in with your doctor about the tummy issues, and I can understand his not wanting you to go into the office. They are just all full of germs and viruses these days and no place for a well person to be. Hope his advice is good and that you'll get better soon and be able to eat real food.

Working on my DT cards and my church project. I'm still at a loss on what to do. No one in my Ward has done this before, so I have nothing to go by. I e-mailed the Stake RS Secretary and she sent me back a form kind of thing that is no help whatsoever to me. I may just have to wing it.

It's a portable transformer. It is temporary. Maybe they can't dig to fix the transformer since the ground is probably frozen ??

Jackie, glad you are starting to feel a little better. How nice of th dr to talk to over the phone instead of coming in.

AM, I hope you took lots of pictures to scrap! Hehehe. Sounds like you guys had a blast!

AnnMarie, so glad you and the girls are having such a good time. I just love dolphins!!

Jackie, I'm so sorry you're still not feeling well. Glad you called the Doc. Big hugs!

Maggie, it was in the 70's here today too. Sunshine and so pretty. Good luck on the church project, I'll be anxious to hear what you come up with.

Nancy, glad you have electricity and sorry bout the snow and cold. We haven't had any snow down here this winter which is normal. We rarely get snow.

Pam, that is so cool that you saved the boss all that $$. All the doings at the firehouse sound like such fun.

Athina, hope work is going well this week after your travel.

Dorlene, thinkin' bout ya sweetie

Know what I did today? I bought one of those huge Symphony candy bars with toffee and almonds (my favorite). Well see, these antibiotics are really kickin' my butt.... you know all the yucky side effects? yep, I got em. Sooooo I thought a little chocolate therapy would be just the thing right? And I'd just eat some the candy bar and save the rest for another day......
uh weeeelllllllllll It tasted soooo good and I just kept breaking off more and more and I ATE THE WHOLE THING!!

Hi AM - have a safe trip back home. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day in the sun!

My neck is still not right. I think I will have to permanently give up running -booo. It just hurts too much afterwards. It has been over a week and it is still not comfortable. I have to figure out what will work, as I haven't really been exercising, no motivation at all. We will see!

Have fun!

Well, that makes sense. At least they did a temporary fix for you.

uh weeeelllllllllll It tasted soooo good and I just kept breaking off more and more and I ATE THE WHOLE THING!!
O M G! Those things are HUGE! I've never even eaten a whole one at one time before. How are those tummy issues this morning?

FYI - When you take antibiotics, eat more yogurt with the live culture in it, it helps with that issue. You can also purchase acidophilus capsules and take those. They replace the good bacteria in your system that the antibiotics kill which causes the tummy issues.

My neck is still not right. I think I will have to permanently give up running -booo. It just hurts too much afterwards. It has been over a week and it is still not comfortable. I have to figure out what will work, as I haven't really been exercising, no motivation at all. We will see!

Have fun!
That is strange that running is causing your neck to be sore. Have you thought about going to a massage therapist or a chiropractor? Maybe you're just a little out of alignment. You can't give up the exercise now after you've been doing so well.

My 12 x 12 SU paper I have sorted Alphabetically so I can easily find the set I'm looking for. I keep the sets together in their packages. I have a3-ring binder with a list of all the SU 12 x 12 paper that has been sold and I mark which ones I have. Then when i want to use something, I pick the colors I want to use and go find the paper that corresponds with those colors. My 6 x 6 paper are mostly in baggies and I keep them in a milk crate that sits next to my table within easy reach.

Yes, I guess. I'm thinking that I'll do 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock like a scrapbook and put them in page protectors and then use one of those 3 hole covers with the clear front and color backing. I get the idea that it's not very elaborate.

Good morning PJ girls.

I had a busy night last night with getting blog post up for PSCS, then I had to do the links to the websites that I submitted my Pins card to which I had forgotten to do earlier. There were a bunch of them. Went with another lady to visit a 3rd lady from church. It turned out to be longer than I had expected but that was my fault because I got there way earlier than I was supposed to. She didn't say anything because she loves to chat and was happy to have someone to talk to.

We've got another lady to go visit tonight, but it shouldn't be as long as the one last night. I need to get working on that project.

I've been eating one yogurt a day. The infectious Disease doc has a nurse call me every single day and she just called. She told me to eat 2 yogurts a day. He has me taking probiotics which are live microorganisms. It sounds like the same kinda thing. Doc and the dietitian have me taking sooo many vitamins wow!

I know I read a lot and since I'm recovering and didn't drive for 6 weeks, I've been reading even more. I've always kept track of what Iread so that I don't get the same book again. This morning I just updated my list from the last two weeks and WOW. I've read all these books in the last two weeks. All but a couple were free from Amazon. When I read the first Fool's Gold series which was free, I LOVED it and HAD to read the others so I bought 3 more, but they were less than 5.00. These are romance or romantic suspense. For some reason, I just can't get into the type of mysteries I usually read right now. I need something calmer, safer, happier I don't know, but these were all good in case you'd like a recommendation.

Baby, Don't Go Bond, Stephanie
Once and Again Foster, Lori
Honey and Smoke Smith, Deborah
Nights in White Satin by Taylor Lee
Bluegrass State of Mind by Kathleen Brooks
Spying in High Heels by Gemma Halliday
Armed and Fabulous by Camila Chafer
Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey
Summer Days by Susan Mallery
All summer Long by Susan Mallery

Its the same issue I was having early last year. I went to the chiropractor for about 2 months for decompression therapy. It is a pinched nerve and possible bulging disk. I was able to run a bit after but once I stopped and went to insanity, it really hurts after I run now. I ran on vacation in September and it bothered me. Then again last week. I need to baby it for a few weeks. I really miss running and I am bummed. I need to make some decisions which are hard for me. I don't want to go thru therapy again, but I know if I go for an adjustment, that is what I will end up doing. I have considered a breast reduction, but that scares me to death. I have never been put out and I am so afraid of the scars. Don't know why, no one sees the things but DH. I don't know right now. I just have to get it figured out.

Athina, have you been to a doctor? Not just a chiropractor? That can't be good for you to be in pain from running like that.

Did a dr suggest a breast reduction would help? I don't blame you for not wanting surgery but I'd rather have breast reduction versus neck surgery!
