Me too, but I only want the stamp and framelits bundle.
The card base pop n' cut is 40 dollars and the dress form pop n' cut is 21 that's an awful lot of money to me for just one thing - the dress form. So, until or if they come up with more things to use them with, my little retired teacher salary self is going to pass on those.
My thoughts exactly when I saw the price....hoping one of my downlines have it so I can play with it
Dorlene, congrats on your win! I LOVE looking at your layouts...they're FAB & very inspiring!
Hi Nancy! Glad your DD is OK...did you sleep well?
Hey AM! What are you up to today?
Hi Maggie! Playing with your new stuff yet? I am so desperate to place an order right now but I have a pretty big class coming up so I'm waiting....this is torture LOL!!!!
Hi Carole! How are you Hun? How's the knee coming along?
Hi Athina! Hope you're doing OK. Can't wait to hear how the trip went.
Hey Pam! Nice to hear the heat is back on & that you're enjoying your new job.
Well, I had an adventure yesterday. We had a new hot water heater put in & the dingbat guy forgot to replace the hose to the washing machine....do I even need to say what happened when I started washing our clothes?!!!!! I was LIVID & so glad that I slow poked around about leaving while the machine was going. It was no fun coming back downstairs & stepping in water. I'm not going to repeat the things that came out of my mouth but the peeps that maintain this place showed up very quickly & was surprised at how fast I had cleaned up the dang water. I do have experience with flooding from our old home back in Bourbonnais so I didn't panic....I was more concerned with stopping it & cleaning it up before any damage was done. Not a great way to start your morning but it was a real eye opener to say the least!
I need to get busy with some things so I'll check in a bit later....c ya
We finally have heat....Oh My Goodness did it get COLD in here. We have a space heater and DH brought 2 home from work. It was tolerable in the Living Rm. but freezing everwhere else, esp. when I had to take a shower!! My stamping room was frigid, so I haven't been in there for a few days. It got down in the 20's the one night....brrr! Thank goodness the wind wasn't blowing! It's only a temporary fix. The unit is old and needs to be replaced....Oh yay! $3500-$4500 to replace.
The new job is going great. I know it's only Day 2, but so far, so good. I didn't see anyone today. I work well on my own, so it suits me just as well.
I'm going to do a little laundry and take a shower (now that the house is nice and warm), then kick back and do something relaxing before bed.
Glad to hear that you have heat back on in your house. I actually have 4 space heaters in my house because I tend to keep my thermostat at about 72 and my house is weird. It will be warm in my bedroom, but all the rest of the house is chilly, so I usually will turn a heater on just to get the chill off rather than running the furnace. I'm not actually in my house much during the week so I don't want to wast too much electricity on heating it when I'm not there. The kitties all have fur coats and cozy places to curl up.
Good to hear that you're liking the job. That's the main thing - that you like what you're doing.
Sorry to be MIA, but I have been busy up to my eyeballs! Just not enough hours in the day anymore!
I am taking my daughters on a quick out of town trip for a couple of days. We are leaving Sunday and going to Orlando! Just the three of us! I am pretty excited!
We had a nice weekend...family dinner down the hill. We all made winter weather comfort foods! We had chili, chicken and dumplings, minestrone soup, homemade bread, cornbread and make your own chicken and cheese quesadillas! Then we had a Scrabble tournament! It was fun!
I had a dork moment! SU! sells these really cool shape cutting dies in sets called framelits. I think I threw away my cute little mug from the holiday set and it is retired so I cannot replace it. Sigh!
Maggie...sounds like you have been a busy bee lately too! Yay for lots of SAB goodies!!
I still have a ton of stuff to do tonight, but I wanted to pop in and visit! Hope everyone is well!
Big group hug!
Sounds like lots of fun over there. Are you guys going to Disney while in FLA or just a fun trip together? Your family dinner sounds like fun. We (my sis's family and mine) do that every so often. It's fun to get the whole group together.
Ooops sorry about tossing the Framelit.
Yes, and I still haven't opened the box!!!!!!! I've been working in my storage room the last 2 nights getting that all organized. Now that it is for the moment, I can move on to other things.
Ok, freaking out a little bit. DD1 texted about 20 minutes ago. They are under a tornado warning and the sirens were going off!
Her dorm is on the top floor (3rd) she went to the basement. Now she isn't answering my texts.
Yikes! I hope everything is okay. Tornados and earthquakes are to two weather related things that freak me out. Well, I guess earthquakes aren't really weather-related, but you can never tell when one is coming just like with a tornado.
Nope, but we are going to Sea World for a day! One daughter is a penguin nut and the other loves sea turtles and dolphins. Win/win!
That should be a fun time. I haven't been to Sea World in years. It's not like it is when the Grands are little. Once they grow up, they're out there on their own doing their own thing.
Hey Y'all,
Here's what we are having for dinner tonight. DH had them at work the other day, and asked for the recipe. He said they were the BEST Salmon Patties he'd ever had.
Salmon Cakes
1 can salmon
1 large onion
½ cup bread crumbs
1 tbsp. Mustard
1 tsp. Ketchup
1 tabsp. Mayonnaise
1 medium bell pepper
1 medium stalk of celery
Chop onion, bell pepper and celery and brown in 1-2 tablespoons butter. Then combine with other ingredients in bowl and mix well. Form mixture into cakes and place on foil. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, Old Bay etc.
Oh, those sounds so yummy. I need to print this off for my recipe book I love salmon and these are easy and will probably make enough for lunches all week.

Not just yet. I need to do some organizing and getting those pastic paper keeps first before I open the box. Hopefully this weekend. I wish they were on sale at Michael's.
Yikes on the flood! I'm glad you were able to get the water stopped. Is this down in a basement so it didn't do any damage to your floors?
I worked in my storage room the last two nights getting that all organized which is done for the time being until I get another shelf unit. I think this time I may buy it. The one I want has shelves on top for storage and then 2 pull out drawers on the bottom. I think that will work great.
My ex-DH (deceased) sis passed away yesterday in Tennessee, but she is being buried here in Houston. She moved to be with her son about 3 years ago after her DH passed and she was alone. He is her only child. Long story but my sis and I were married to brothers, so that family is family to both of us although they have basically been out of my life for the last 30 years. My DD in CA is flying in Friday afternoon for the visitation and funeral mass on Saturday and then will fly back to CA early Sunday morning. She has a Super Bowl party planned for Sunday. My ex SIL's family does not want to have a family gathering after the service. We have no idea why not. I think my Sister and the Houston family will make some sort of arrangements to go out to dinner somewhere after the funeral service. I think I'm going to go to the visitation to support my children and my sister. and then skip the funeral mass and burial. I will probably go to the dinner though and be with my DD's.
Hawaiian Baked Chicken
½ cup oil
1 cup flour
1 tsp. seasoned salt
4 pounds chicken pieces no bones/skins
1 cup orange juice
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
½ cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
½ tsp. salt
1 cup pineapple chunks
(or 2 cups papaya)
Pour oil into 13 by 9” pan. Combine flour and seasoned salt. Dredge chicken pieces in flour mixture. Arrange in baking pan. Bake at 350̊̊ for 40 minutes. Turn and bake 20 minutes longer.
In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients except pineapple and cook until thickened. Gently stir in Pineapple and pour mixture over chicken. Bake 10 minutes longer.
Serve over rice.

No, the laundry room is off the kitchen which is on the main level so they had to make sure there was no damage downstairs where Brandon sleeps. I'm glad I was home too or else it would've been a LOT worse & most of my things would've been ruined---stamping stuff that I have on the floor instead of on shelves...I need to buy more but will wait until we're settled again

Quick check in! Playing with taxes and numbers...yuck! My head is swimming, but I have been putting it off long enough. Sigh! Hubby does our taxes, but I have to get all of my Stampin Up! stuff together for him. Blech!
It has been pouring rain all day here...double blech!

Oh Jackie, what a mess! That's why I never leave the house with the washer,
dryer or dishwasher running. Once my parent's machine's hose came off while running and made a mess. In our very first house the machine was in the garage and the pipe the water drains to was clogged and overflowed. At least it was the garage. Once our dryer wouldn't shut off when finished and I had to keep the door open. If I wasn't home, it could have started a fire.
Why did he even take the hose off the washer anyway?

Sorry to hear about your ex-SIL. Funerals are hard. That's nice you are going to support your kids.
So do you need a special set to make the dress your talking about? Is it a stamp and die set? $40 sounds like a lot. I don't have any SU! Catalogs so I dont have a clue what you guys are talking about when you mention specific things!! LOL
The card you posted looks something that could be made easily without any special tools. Just scissors.

The stamp set and framelits to cut out the dress shapes can be purchased as a bundle for 34.95. Which is reasonable to me and I will buy it. Those other two green things in the pict. are separate prices. the card base pop 'n cte is 39.95 and the dress form pop 'n cut is 21.95
That's where it gets really expensive. I'm not buying those two things.

So glad that it was minimal to the main part of the house and you did NOT lose any of your precious stamping stuff!!!!!

Ok, back to it!
Will check in later!
*poof*
I haven't gotten all my paper work yet so I can do my taxes. I still need my bank information for my house note.
Wow Jackie, that sounds just like something that would happen to me!! Sorry bout the water.
Maggie, you're killing me!! Open the box already!! lol
AM we LOVED Sea World much more than Disney!
LOL! No time to do that yet!!!!!!!
After work I had to drive over to the lady's house that has Casper and Cory and pick up little baggies with their kitty hair in them so I can send off to a GF that may adopt them if her DH isn't allergic to the hair. Traffic was terrible both ways - accidents all over the place. Then had to stop on the way home to gas up the car. I need to make a t/c tonight, clean up the storage room, and take a shower. And I need to work on a card.
WOO HOO! One of the girls at the office asked me today if I'd make a Valentine card for her DH! And she'll pay me!
Well, I haven't heard from the lady that was going to come by and pick up these food items that I'm getting rid of (mostly past their "best by" dates). I called and left her a message earlier and told her to call me but she hasn't, so I guess I'm going to go sweep the floor in there and take a shower.
Sleeeeeeeeeeepy! I swear I have been running around like a crazy person for days doing stuff, but I look around and I don't see much progress! LOL
The wind is terrible here tonight. It is raining hard and we are under heavy thunderstorm and strong wind advisories until 2am. Wacky, wonky weather!!!

I am with you! I think the base thingie is a little too price-y, but I am definitely going to get that bundle!! I do think they will wind up coming out with other inserts eventually for that base thingie though.
Nancy, what are you reading? I downloaded a book called The Final Piece tonight. It was only .99 and got awesome reviews. I am hoping it will be a good one! I finished Walk to Remember last night! That was a real tear jerker!! Sniffles!!
Ugh! Jackie! What a mess!! Sorry your day started that way! That is stinky!! On a stampier note I say make nice with hubby and then you can place two stamp orders!! *wink, wink, wink!!!* LOLOLOL
I have a bazillion things to do tomorrow including driving to big town to get my youngest daughter an ID card. Not sure if she will need it or not to fly for our trip this weekend, but I figured we better get one just in case!
Also, I am so excited to say that I challenged myself to post on my blog every day this month and as long as I manage to get a post squooze (LOL) in there tomorrow I will have met that challenge!! Yay!
I am heading to bed! I hope everyone has a good night!
